107: Chapter 107 Moon Bay Beach
The midday sun spilled across the outdoor dining table at Moon Bay Ranch.
The wooden dining table was polished to a shine and covered with local New Zealand delicacies; the aroma wafted on the breeze, making one crave it intensely.
The ranch staff had meticulously prepared lunch using the freshest ingredients. The golden, crispy lamb pies had a fluffy crust that released a rich gravy mixed with the scent of herbs when bitten into.
There was also a brightly colored seafood salad; the springy shrimp paired with refreshing avocado and lettuce was truly mouthwatering.
A thick cheese sauce was layered over the smooth mashed potatoes, accompanied by charred seasonal vegetables.
...
The drinks were freshly squeezed kiwi and apple juices, sweet and sour, refreshing and appetizing.
Choi Sulli speared a piece of lamb pie and stuffed it into her mouth, her cheeks puffed out like a little squirrel sneaking a snack. Her eyes sparkled as she said:
"Wow! This lamb pie is just too delicious!"
"It's even more fragrant than the ones in Seoul restaurants!"
Im Yoona scooped a spoonful of mashed potatoes and agreed with a smile, "It really is great. The cheese flavor is so rich, and the potatoes are so smooth."
Son Ye-jin picked up her fork and elegantly sliced the seafood salad, saying gently, "I just asked Alice; these are all fresh. The lamb is from the ranch, and the seafood was personally caught by Uncle August."
The members of f(x) also tucked in without ceremony.
While eating the roasted vegetables, Victoria Song muttered, "Liu Zijun! You might be quite the tycoon, but I still have a lot of questions to ask you."
Krystal Jung was also sizing up Liu Zijun.
This person is truly mysterious.
Liu Zijun watched the girls eating happily with a smile on his face. From time to time, he would put a piece of shrimp into Choi Sulli's bowl or refill the juice for Im Yoona and Son Ye-jin.
Han Jaeran, on the other hand, acted completely like an invisible man. He sat to the side, knife and fork in hand, while constantly praising the food, "The ranch chef's skills are really good. Ji-Jun, can I bring my family here to play in the future?"
Liu Zijun looked at the blunt Han Jaeran and nodded with a smile.
Lunch ended in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The girls patted their full bellies, their faces filled with satisfaction.
After a short rest, Liu Zijun suggested going for a stroll on Moon Bay Beach, which immediately received a response from everyone.
Han Jaeran was very discerning; he said he wouldn't go, but would instead go herding with Uncle August and the others.
They didn't ride horses again but instead took the ranch's sightseeing car along the small trails.
It took quite a while to reach Moon Bay Beach, which showed just how large the ranch was.
The fine silver sand was as soft as marshmallows; stepping on it felt warm and provided a delicate sensation underfoot.
The blue sea and sky merged into one, the sea surface shimmering with light. Occasionally, a few seabirds would glide low, leaving behind graceful arcs.
The sea breeze carried a faint salty scent, feeling fresh and pleasant against the face.
At the pier by the beach, two ships were moored, bobbing slightly with the waves.
One was a fishing boat, while the other was a luxury yacht.
"Wow! The beach here is just too beautiful!"
Choi Sulli was the first to take off her shoes. Walking barefoot on the sand and feeling its softness, she ran excitedly toward the sea, her skirt fluttering in the wind like a happy little elf.
Im Yoona and Son Ye-jin also took off their shoes and rolled up their pants to walk into the shallow water. The waves gently lapped at their ankles, the cool sensation making them let out sighs of comfort.
The members of f(x) also scattered. Victoria Song and Amber Liu walked along the beach, admiring the seaside scenery.
Luna squatted on the beach, focused on picking up colorful seashells.
Meanwhile, Krystal Jung stood where she was, gazing at the distant sea. The sea breeze ruffled her long hair, and her cold face gained a bit of softness.
Liu Zijun followed at the back, his eyes full of gentleness as he watched the girls playing to their heart's content.
After running for a while, Choi Sulli turned back and pulled Liu Zijun's hand, acting coquettishly, "Oppa, let's build a sandcastle!"
Liu Zijun nodded with a smile, letting her pull him down to squat on the beach and build a small sandcastle with her.
Seeing this, Im Yoona also joined in. The three of them worked together, and soon a sandpile with the prototype of a small castle took shape.
Son Ye-jin stood not far away, watching the warm interaction between the three. A gentle smile curled her lips as she took out her phone to capture this beautiful moment.
Victoria Song walked over, stood beside her, and said softly, "Yejin Unnie, you spoil Liu Zijun too much."
Son Ye-jin shook her head, her eyes full of smiles as she said, "We are all very lucky to have met him."
After playing on the beach for over an hour, the girls gradually grew tired.
Liu Zijun suggested going out to sea. Everyone followed him to the private pier by the beach and boarded the luxury yacht.
"Wow! Is this the yacht we're going to ride? It's way too cool!"
Choi Sulli's eyes widened, filled with wonder.
Im Yoona and Son Ye-jin were also somewhat surprised; this yacht didn't look cheap at all.
The staff on the yacht greeted them warmly and guided everyone on board.
The interior of the yacht was luxuriously decorated, with bedrooms, bathrooms, and a small bar—every facility was available.
"Everyone, please sit wherever you like. Have something to drink and rest for a bit."
Liu Zijun invited everyone to sit, and the staff soon brought out various drinks and fruits.
The yacht slowly sailed away from the pier toward the deep sea.
The sea breeze blew in through the portholes, bringing a fresh scent. The girls leaned back in their seats, admiring the sea view outside the window, their faces full of ease.
Choi Sulli leaned on Liu Zijun's shoulder, holding a piece of sliced mango and eating it in small bites.
"Oppa! Are we still going diving?"
Liu Zijun held her gently and said, "It's up to you. Let's just have fun this time."
This little girl is still afraid of diving.
Im Yoona and Son Ye-jin sat to the side, chatting softly.
The members of f(x) curiously looked around the interior of the yacht, letting out exclamations from time to time.
Once the yacht was sailing smoothly in the middle of the sea, several of the girls actually changed into swimsuits. Choi Sulli was even wearing a bikini.
Liu Zijun suppressed the heat in his heart and cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention.
"Everyone, quiet down for a moment. There's something I want to tell you."
His tone was calm but carried a hint of seriousness. The girls stopped what they were doing and looked at him.
"Haven't you all had many doubts? You can ask now."
Victoria Song quickly asked, "What exactly is your relationship with JS Investment Company?"
Liu Zijun smiled and spoke slowly, "Let me officially introduce myself to everyone. The actual controller of JS Investment Company is indeed me."
This sentence was like a thunderclap, leaving everyone stunned except for Choi Sulli.
Although Victoria Song had guessed it long ago, hearing it confirmed with her own ears was still somewhat surprising.
Im Yoona and Son Ye-jin also widened their eyes, not expecting Liu Zijun's identity to be so extraordinary.
The other members of f(x) were even more shocked, unable to speak for a long time.
Calculating it this way, Liu Zijun really was their boss.
Liu Zijun continued, "The previous acquisition of CCM Entertainment and the investment in SM Entertainment were both my arrangements."
Everyone slowly processed this news, and the shock on their faces gradually turned into realization.
Victoria Song nodded. She had long felt that Liu Zijun was not simple, and now she finally understood everything.
This woman suddenly realized after the fact—had she been too fierce to her boss?
Choi Sulli leaned in Liu Zijun's arms, her face full of pride. She knew her oppa was the most amazing.
"Today, I mainly want to talk to you about the future arrangements for f(x)."
Liu Zijun changed the subject, his gaze falling on the members of f(x). The girls instantly tensed up.
"After observing for some time, I've found that Jinri and Krystal's situations are quite special.
Jinri's personality is too dependent on others, and her self-care abilities still need improvement.
Krystal has a lot of potential, but her current schedule is too full, leaving her without enough time to settle and develop herself."
He paused and continued, "So, I plan to comprehensively reduce non-essential activities for Jinri and Krystal.
In the future, aside from necessary activities like album comeback practice and music show performances, other variety shows and especially commercial performances will be minimized."
