94: Chapter 94 Heading to New Zealand
In Liu Zijun's duplex apartment, the sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, bright and clear.
Liu Zijun leaned over to place the last neatly folded white sun-protective jacket into the suitcase; Jiang Hongshao had specially prepared this for him, as it was perfect for the current weather in New Zealand.
"BOSS, you're not going there to be a bodyguard; you're clearly going on a honeymoon."
"Sunscreen, a custom portable pillbox, and even Choi Sulli's favorite peach gummy candies are packed in separate sealed bags. Tell me, am I doing a good job as your little secretary?"
Jiang Hongshao leaned against the doorframe, playing with the car keys in her hand. Her burgundy curls fell loosely over her shoulders, and her eyes held a hint of envy mixed with a trace of loss.
Liu Zijun glanced up at her and continued packing things into the suitcase.
"Her skin is delicate, and the UV rays in New Zealand aren't low either. These are all necessary."
Jiang Hongshao let out a scoff and stepped forward to help him zip up the suitcase.
"You're only this attentive when it comes to Choi Sulli. I'll keep an eye on things with T-ara, so you can go without worrying."
"Oh, and as for Son Ye-jin and Im Yoona's side, I'll watch over them for you as well."
Liu Zijun picked up the suitcase, his tone flat but filled with absolute trust.
"With you there, I'm at ease. Thanks for the hard work!"
Jiang Hongshao raised an eyebrow and said no more, heading toward the door first. "Let's go. If we don't leave now, your Little Peach will get impatient."
As the car drove away from the apartment building in Gangnam District, Liu Zijun checked his phone. The message Little Peach had sent half an hour ago was still on the screen.
[Joon oppa, I'm all packed! Older Sister Victoria Song is checking the luggage and says I can't bring too many snacks, boohoo], followed by a pouting peach emoji.
He tapped the screen with his fingertips and replied: [Don't worry, I brought some. I'll give them to you secretly then.]
Just after it was successfully sent, the car entered the underground garage of the residential complex where the f(x) dormitory was located.
Once the car stopped, Liu Zijun took the initiative to give Jiang Hongshao a kiss on the lips, which instantly made her feel satisfied.
Not far away, a van was already parked. Han Jaeran was standing by the vehicle, and seeing Liu Zijun approaching with a small suitcase, he immediately came over to greet him.
"You're finally here. These kids are still busy packing their luggage; I've rushed them eight times already."
This time, only the two of them would be accompanying the five girls. The assistant arranged by Jiang Hongshao had already gone ahead.
Just as he finished speaking, a commotion came from the dormitory's elevator hall.
Choi Sulli was the first to rush out, wearing a plaid shirt and a long black skirt, looking quite simple.
Her short hair was tied in a low ponytail, making her look exactly like the girl-next-door!
She ran up to Liu Zijun and looked up at him, her eyes shining like stars.
"Joon oppa! You're here too! I thought you were going to be late."
"I originally thought about not letting you go, after all, your injury..."
The last part was whispered, her face filled with concern.
Liu Zijun put down his suitcase and ruffled her short hair. "It's fine. This time we're just going out to play. The trip I promised you will definitely happen."
Victoria Song, Krystal Jung, Amber Liu, and Luna also came out one after another, each dragging suitcases of various sizes, their faces full of anticipation.
Victoria Song walked over to Liu Zijun and handed him a folder. "This is our itinerary and things to note. The contact person in New Zealand has already been reached; there will be a car picking us up when we land."
Liu Zijun took it and handed it directly to Han Jaeran, but said, "Don't worry, Sister Qian."
Krystal Jung followed at the very back, wearing a blue-black denim jacket, still maintaining her cool and aloof demeanor.
Her gaze swept over Liu Zijun before quickly shifting away as she muttered, "You brought too much stuff."
Amber Liu patted Krystal Jung's shoulder and smiled at Liu Zijun, "Joon oppa, there's bungee jumping and skydiving in New Zealand. Do you want to take on the challenge with Krystal then?"
Liu Zijun laughed and said, "I'm just afraid you'll all end up crying from fear!"
This provoked a round of protests from the girls.
Liu Zijun watched them fooling around, a slight smile playing on his lips.
Han Jaeran urged, "Hurry up and get in the car. If we don't leave now, we'll miss the flight."
Everyone boarded the vehicle one by one. Choi Sulli insisted on dragging Liu Zijun into the same van, and Victoria Song shook her head helplessly, having no choice but to allow it.
On the way to Incheon Airport, Choi Sulli sat next to Liu Zijun and opened her wish list.
She pointed them out to him one by one: "Joon oppa, I want to go bungee jumping in Queenstown, I want to take photos at Hobbiton, and I want to go to the beach to see the sunrise, but it seems the itinerary doesn't allow it!"
Liu Zijun replied, "If time permits, I'll take you."
Choi Sulli's eyes instantly lit up, and she grabbed his arm tightly. "Really? That's great! I thought we could only follow the production crew."
Liu Zijun lowered his voice and said, "The production crew has a filming schedule, but we'll find a gap to sneak out."
Han Jaeran, sitting in the front row, turned back to tease them, "What are you two whispering about? Don't even think about causing trouble; I still want to finish this trip peacefully."
Choi Sulli stuck out her tongue and buried her head against Liu Zijun's arm, whispering, "I'm not telling you."
The atmosphere in the car was relaxed and lively, with Amber Liu and Luna discussing New Zealand's cuisine.
Meanwhile, Victoria Song was double-checking the itinerary details, acting completely like a caring mother.
Krystal Jung leaned against the window, watching the street scenery fly by. Occasionally, she would glance at the two huddled together in the back seat, a flash of complex emotion in her eyes.
The international departures hall at Incheon Airport was already bustling with people. f(x) fans held up support signs and f(x)'s exclusive lightsticks, which Jiang Hongshao had specially arranged for someone to release on the company's official website recently.
This poor little group was truly pitiful; they had been debuted for so many years and didn't even have an exclusive lightstick.
They waited in an orderly fashion in the designated area. Upon seeing the girls appear, they immediately erupted into loud screams.
Liu Zijun and Han Jaeran instantly stepped into character, getting out of the car first and shielding the members. They alertly scanned the surrounding crowd, protecting them as they walked toward the check-in counter.
Staff from MBC Television Station immediately came forward to coordinate and began filming.
The fans' shouts rose and fell. As Choi Sulli walked forward, she waved to the fans, her face beaming with a brilliant smile.
"Joon oppa, look, the fans are so passionate."
Entering the check-in hall, Choi Sulli turned back to Liu Zijun, her eyes full of joy.
"Yeah, they've always been very supportive of you."
Liu Zijun nodded, his gaze always locked on the surroundings to ensure there were no anomalies.
Checking in, checking luggage, and going through security—the series of processes proceeded in an orderly manner.
With the cameras present, Liu Zijun and Han Jaeran both stepped out of the shot, watching the five girls look so happy.
However, Choi Sulli frequently looked over at Liu Zijun, prompting the accompanying director to remind her twice before she finally restrained herself.
Seeing the five girls even manage to find the wrong check-in gate, Liu Zijun was somewhat speechless.
But looking at the smiles on their faces, a smile unconsciously appeared on his own face as well.
If these girls weren't idols, who knows what they would be doing?
