15: Chapter 15 A Business Card
He was about to leave after speaking, but Son Ye-jin suddenly called out to him: "Liu Zijun! Wait a moment!"
Liu Zijun turned back to look at her, raising an eyebrow to signal her to continue.
Son Ye-jin bit her lip, hesitating for a few seconds before finally speaking: "Last time in Busan, you didn't leave your contact information..."
"Could you leave one this time? Even if it's just to thank you for saving me that day."
Gong Hyo-jin's eyes widened from the side. She hadn't expected Son Ye-jin to proactively ask for contact information, and she hurriedly stepped forward to join in the excitement.
Liu Zijun looked at Son Ye-jin's expectant gaze and remained silent for a few seconds.
He still shook his head: "There's no need. What happened in Busan was just an accident; you don't need to take it to heart."
His tone was very flat, but it caused Son Ye-jin's heart to instantly turn half-cold.
Gong Hyo-jin couldn't help but feel indignant on Son Ye-jin's behalf.
Stepping forward, she said, "Hey! Mr. Liu Zijun, Yejin rarely takes the initiative to ask for someone's contact information. Aren't you being a bit too dismissive?"
Liu Zijun looked at Son Ye-jin, his tone becoming a bit more sincere.
"It's not about being dismissive; I just feel it's unnecessary."
"I came to Seoul for work, and besides, we belong to two different worlds. It's best if we have no connection."
These words were almost identical to what he had said in Busan, but they made Son Ye-jin feel even worse.
She looked at Liu Zijun, a trace of grievance flashing in her eyes.
Alright, she looked very much the 'big sister' type, but also very pitiable!
"Even if we're from two different worlds, what's wrong with leaving contact info? Do you really dislike me that much?"
Liu Zijun looked at her, his eyes showing a bit more helplessness: "No! My life isn't suitable for getting involved with celebrities like you. It wouldn't be good for either of us."
He knew his identity was special, and his experiences in his past life were full of danger. Getting too close to people in the entertainment industry would only bring them trouble.
He didn't want her to fall into unnecessary trouble because of him.
Moreover, Son Ye-jin was a public figure with a bright future ahead of her.
Son Ye-jin looked at him and said with a hint of disappointment in her voice: "Is it because of Choi Sulli?"
Liu Zijun nodded.
Looking at Son Ye-jin's somewhat unyielding and aggrieved appearance...
Fine! Choi Sulli was already by his side; could it get any more dangerous than that?
Liu Zijun fished a business card out of his wallet, identical to the one he had given Choi Soo-myung's parents, containing only his name and his phone number in The Peninsula.
"Son Ye-jin-xi, think it over for yourself!"
Gong Hyo-jin was a bit confused. It was just adding contact info; what was there to 'think over'?
Son Ye-jin, however, realized what he meant, and her face behind the mask turned even redder!
Yet she tightly gripped the business card in her hand.
After speaking, Liu Zijun turned and walked out of the store.
As he reached the door, he glanced back. Son Ye-jin was standing by the shelf with her head down, lost in thought, while Gong Hyo-jin was patting her back, trying to see the business card.
He sighed slightly in his heart; this kind of situation was exactly what he feared most.
Nevertheless, he turned and left.
Just as he reached the second floor, his phone rang. It was a text from Emily, which turned out to be a tease: "Jayden, the way you just rejected that beauty was really heartless."
Liu Zijun replied with a text: "Aren't you busy? Don't you find it boring to monitor me all the time?"
Seeing that it was sent successfully, he deleted the message, tucked his phone back into his pocket, and walked toward the stage.
Son Ye-jin watched Liu Zijun's departing back and took off her mask, revealing a face full of complex emotions.
The two sat back down in the lounge area, looking at the f(x) members packing up by the stage downstairs, each with their own thoughts.
When Liu Zijun returned to the side of the stage, Choi Sulli saw him wearing his new dark grey coat and immediately ran over.
"Joon oppa, you bought your clothes? This coat looks really good! You have great taste."
"I'll accompany you to buy a few more tonight, don't you dare refuse!"
Liu Zijun ruffled her short hair and said with a smile, "It's alright, I picked something suitable. How are your preparations? It's time for the next schedule."
Choi Sulli glanced back at Victoria Song and the others, saying, "Everything's ready! The unnies are packing up, we can leave immediately."
Liu Zijun nodded, his gaze sweeping over the fans below the stage, a trace of vigilance flashing in his eyes.
He knew the road to protecting Choi Sulli was still long, and the malice hidden in the shadows could emerge at any time.
The Seoul sunlight poured through the mall's glass dome, falling warmly on Liu Zijun and Choi Sulli.
Not far away on the upper floor, Son Ye-jin watched this scene. The coffee in her hand was gradually turning cold, while an inexplicable emotion welled up in her heart.
His attitude toward her and Choi Sulli was completely different.
"Yejin! This Liu Zijun is really doting on that Choi Sulli!"
Son Ye-jin nodded, her eyes still somewhat dazed.
"Yejin! You couldn't possibly like that bodyguard, could you? Do you actually like younger guys?"
Son Ye-jin was instantly jolted awake and retorted, "Unnie Hyo-jin, what are you talking about? How could that be!"
But her heart was beginning to waver.
The afternoon itinerary went smoothly without any incidents, but watching the girls dancing in the cold wind wearing light outfits, he started complaining again.
In this Peninsula, these idols are really hardworking!
At that moment, he didn't know that the fan attack at the Myeongdong Mall that morning had already caused a small stir on the internet.
And he, this quick-acting bodyguard, had caught many people's attention.
First, he was too handsome; second, he was too professional!
The comments under the news were almost all positive.
After all, nothing had happened to f(x) yet, and the reasons given by those two anti-fans were baseless, causing their fans to condemn the anti-fans one after another.
Many comments said that the way Liu Zijun protected Choi Sulli looked like a scene from a TV drama—so handsome!
"Wow! Son Ye-jin unnie and Gong Unnie Hyo-jin actually both posted on Twitter."
"They were actually shopping at the scene and saw the whole thing, expressing their strong condemnation of those anti-fans!"
In a black van, the nine members of Girls Generation were discussing the morning's incident where f(x) was attacked by anti-fans.
Choi Sooyoung suddenly cried out!
They were all very puzzled, unable to figure out why these two seniors would do that.
Choi Sooyoung even picked up her phone to send a message to Son Ye-jin.
It was quite miraculous; unless they were very close, these celebrities generally wouldn't express their views so recklessly.
After the incident, Han Jaeran had already reported to the company, and SM Entertainment Company had issued a notice stating they would pursue the matter to the end. In reality, the final outcome remained unknown.
The Girls Generation members were scrolling through their phones after finishing their morning activities.
They saw the videos uploaded by fans. Although the phone pixels in 2012 weren't great, they could still see a tall, handsome figure suddenly shielding Choi Sulli.
Seeing that Krystal Jung was fine, Jessica Jung breathed a sigh of relief while also expressing strong condemnation for the anti-fans.
She said she also wanted to post a message condemning the anti-fans, but she was stopped by Kim Taeyeon and the Manager.
Im Yoona looked at the video on her phone and suddenly said, "This Mr. Liu Zijun really cares about Seol-ri!"
Lee Soonkyu (Sunny) followed up, "Yoona! Is this bodyguard the mysterious Liu Zijun you guys mentioned? He's really handsome!"
Im Yoona and Kim Taeyeon glanced at each other and nodded!
Tiffany Young even vividly recounted the things Choi Sulli had told them.
"Daebak! He's a knight in shining armor!"
Jessica Jung exclaimed after hearing that!
