59: Chapter 59 Icy Killing Intent

Liu Zijun pulled out his phone!

He found that it was a call from Im Yoona.

A call at this hour caused his brow to furrow imperceptibly.

Im Yoona was a girl who knew her boundaries extremely well; she should have known what he was doing right now, so why would she call him?

He pressed the answer button, his fingertip lightly covering the earpiece so the sound wouldn't reach Jeong Hyun-bin's ears.

His voice remained as calm as when he was talking to Jeong Hyun-bin.

"What happened?"

There was no immediate response from the other end, only the sound of rapid breathing, clearly very nervous, mixed with faint ambient noise, as if she were lowering her voice in a small space.

This made Liu Zijun's heart tighten.

Im Yoona's voice carried obvious panic and an ill-concealed sense of guilt.

"Joon oppa... I, I made a mistake."

Liu Zijun's eyes darkened instantly as he said, "Speak slowly. What's wrong?"

Im Yoona lowered her voice even more; the faint sound of a toilet flushing could be heard, indicating she was calling from the bathroom.

"Sulli... Sulli also came to your apartment."

"I was originally waiting for you to return, wearing... wearing your clothes, and she ran into me.

She thought we... thought we were together, and she completely broke down at that moment."

Im Yoona's rapid breathing and sobbing followed over the phone, heavy with self-reproach.

"I explained things to her for a long time before she calmed down a bit.

I kept asking her why she came over in the middle of the night, and after a long time, she finally cried and said that Lee Ryuk-hee from the TJK Group had called her, threatening her to go to the TK Club to find him tomorrow night, or else he would strike at you, Oppa, just like the SD Group.

She also said she already promised Lee Ryuk-hee that she would give herself to him..."

"You don't know, she's completely broken down, saying she has no choice and that she won't be able to stay by your side anymore, asking me to take good care of you...

Oppa, she's too desperate. I couldn't stop her, and I'm afraid she'll do something foolish, so I could only call you secretly."

Im Yoona's voice was thick with tears, every word a struggle to speak.

Indeed, after experiencing such major events and then facing Im Yoona's betrayal, Choi Sulli could no longer bear it.

The air in the enclosed office froze instantly.

The calmness on Liu Zijun's face vanished completely, replaced by a near-absolute coldness.

He didn't speak, but his grip on the phone tightened until the casing let out a faint creak.

The killing intent emanating from his very bones was like a Siberian cold front, instantly sweeping through the entire office.

Jeong Hyun-bin's face, which had still held a trace of a smile, froze instantly.

He could clearly feel the change in Liu Zijun's aura.

Liu Zijun's previous composure was merely a facade; the cold and ruthless aura erupting now was the kind of killing intent that truly settled after emerging from a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood. It made even this chaebol heir, accustomed to storms, subconsciously hold his breath as cold sweat broke out on his back.

Thank goodness! Thank goodness!

I wasn't tempted by that idiot Choi Jae-ho, or I'd be dead by now.

He couldn't see Liu Zijun's face, but the man's gaze was cold as ice, and his entire aura had transformed into that of a machine that only knew how to kill.

Liu Zijun's voice was terrifyingly low, devoid of any warmth or even emotional fluctuation, containing only pure coldness.

"That silly girl... she agreed?"

Im Yoona's voice was choked with sobs.

"Yes... she said Lee Ryuk-hee could stop the SD Group from retaliating against you, Oppa.

She had no choice...

Oppa, are you finished with things over there?

Please come back quickly. Sulli is in the living room right now, just staring blankly. I'm really afraid she'll do something foolish."

"I understand. You must keep an eye on her. Tell her not to worry; the matter with the SD Group has already been handled!"

Liu Zijun's tone had no fluctuation at all. After saying this, he hung up the phone.

He slowly put down the phone; the office was so quiet his breathing could be heard.

And the killing intent radiating from Liu Zijun made it hard for Jeong Hyun-bin to breathe.

Liu Zijun looked up, his gaze landing on Jeong Hyun-bin's face.

There was no extra emotion in those eyes, only a cold decisiveness, as if he were looking at an insignificant object.

"Where is Lee Ryuk-hee?"

Those four short words made Jeong Hyun-bin subconsciously straighten his back.

He finally understood that this man's bottom line had always been Choi Sulli.

Anyone who touched this bottom line would face his most frenzied retaliation.

Jeong Hyun-bin composed himself, suppressed the shock in his heart, and quickly organized the information in his mind.

Since the SD Group controlled communications on The Peninsula, he naturally knew Lee Ryuk-hee's whereabouts.

Furthermore, the TJK Group and SD Group were competitors, and their movements were within each other's surveillance range.

Jeong Hyun-bin didn't dare hide anything and spoke rapidly, "Lee Ryuk-hee should be at the Cloud Top (YD) Bar in the Gangnam District right now. It's one of his frequently visited hideouts, and the security there is terrifying."

After speaking, he pulled a photo out of a drawer; it was indeed Lee Ryuk-hee.

He paused and added, "Lee Ryuk-hee has been acting quite arrogant lately because of the fall of the Cui Family on our side. He thinks no one can touch him.

He is always followed by four personal bodyguards, all of whom are retired special forces elites, and they are fully armed."

Liu Zijun listened quietly without speaking, but the chill in his eyes deepened.

TJK Group, Lee Ryuk-hee, Choi Soo-myung's death, and now threatening Choi Sulli—it was time to settle all these scores together.

He slowly stood up, his black suit outlining a tall but cold, hard silhouette under the lights.

The cooperation he had just discussed with Jeong Hyun-bin had now become a secondary matter in his mind.

Liu Zijun's voice remained cold and decisive.

"Regarding the cooperation, I will give you an answer in three days."

"How much of the TJK Group you can devour depends on your own ability."

Jeong Hyun-bin was instantly overjoyed and nodded repeatedly, even changing how he addressed him.

"BOSS! Need me to send men to assist you? The security at the Cloud Top Bar is indeed difficult to deal with."

Liu Zijun refused directly, his tone carrying absolute confidence.

"No need."

"I'll handle my own business."

After speaking, he didn't give Jeong Hyun-bin another look and turned to walk toward the office door.

Jeong Hyun-bin watched his retreating back and let out a long sigh of relief, his back already soaked with cold sweat.

He picked up the wine glass on the table and drained it in one gulp, barely managing to suppress the tremor in his heart.

He knew that this time, Lee Ryuk-hee had truly provoked someone he shouldn't have.

His fury was enough to incinerate the entire TJK Group.

The night in Seoul grew darker, and a light snow began to fall.

Liu Zijun walked quickly to his car, pulled open the door, and sat inside. Without a moment's hesitation, he floored the accelerator, and the car shot forward like an arrow from a bow, heading toward the Cloud Top Bar in the Gangnam District.

His eyes were fixed on the road ahead, his mind filled with Im Yoona's words over the phone.

He remembered Choi Sulli's frail back in the funeral hall, her hardworking figure in the practice room, and the way she had thrown herself into his arms, crying and calling him "Oppa."

Choi Sulli's despair, Lee Ryuk-hee's threat, the appointment at the TK Club.

Liu Zijun pressed the accelerator even harder. The car moved so fast it almost seemed to fly, the neon lights of Seoul rushing past the windows like blurred streaks of light.
