148: Chapter 148 The Ox That Died from Exhaustion

Im Yoona pulled him into the living room, where Son Ye-jin was sitting on the sofa watching TV, tuned to the variety show "Amazing f(x)".

Seeing them return, she smiled gently and said, "You're back? You must be tired from the journey."

Choi Sulli ran to the sofa, sat down next to Son Ye-jin, and wrapped her arm around hers.

"Yejin Unnie! I'm sorry, unnie, for putting you through this."

Son Ye-jin ruffled her hair, her eyes full of affection. "Silly girl, what are you talking about? How could I blame you? I'm happy for you for bravely pursuing your own happiness."

She turned to look at Liu Zijun, her tone carrying a hint of teasing. "But you'd better make it up to Yoona and me properly, since Sulli got ahead of us."

Liu Zijun nodded with a smile. "Alright, whatever you say. Whatever you want to eat or do, it's all up to you."

Im Yoona immediately said, "I want to go to Jeju Island! Last time, the schedule was too busy, and I didn't get to enjoy it properly. This time, I want oppa to come with us and really relax."

Son Ye-jin chimed in, "I have no objections. I happen to have no schedule recently, so I can rest for a few days."

Choi Sulli also raised her hand. "I want to go too! I want to see the sunrise by the sea and eat Jeju Island's black pork."

The three of them chattered away, discussing their travel plans, filling the living room with laughter and cheerful voices.

As the night grew late, Choi Sulli obediently went to the guest room downstairs, while Im Yoona pulled Liu Zijun into the bedroom. The anger on her face had long since disappeared, replaced only by shyness and dependence.

Im Yoona leaned into his embrace, her voice soft and sweet. "Oppa, from now on, you can't just dote on Sulli; you have to treat Yejin Unnie and me well too."

Liu Zijun held her tightly and said gently, "I'll cherish all three of you."

The atmosphere in the bedroom gradually grew ambiguous, with Im Yoona's soft moans and Liu Zijun's low whispers intertwining.

Downstairs in the guest room, Choi Sulli, holding onto Son Ye-jin, tossed and turned, unable to sleep. She eventually got up quietly, which amused Son Ye-jin.

The little girl walked to the staircase and listened to the sounds from upstairs, unable to hold back a giggle.

When she heard Im Yoona's pleading voice tinged with tears, Choi Sulli covered her mouth, went to the door of the master bedroom on the second floor, and whispered, "Yoona Unnie! Do you need my help?"

The sounds from the master bedroom instantly stopped, followed by Im Yoona's embarrassed shout.

"Yah! Choi Sulli! You were eavesdropping! Aren't you ashamed? I don't need your help!"

She paused, then scolded Liu Zijun fiercely, "It's all your fault! You never know how to go easy on me!"

Liu Zijun's low chuckle came from the master bedroom. Choi Sulli laughed so hard she stomped her feet, then turned and ran back to the guest room, whispering to Son Ye-jin.

Son Ye-jin looked at her with amusement, feeling a sudden warmth both physically and emotionally.

Sure enough, in the middle of the night, Liu Zijun's figure quietly appeared.

Choi Sulli and Son Ye-jin were still sleeping soundly.

Liu Zijun gently picked up Son Ye-jin, startling her awake.

She was about to scream, but her mouth was covered by Liu Zijun.

When she realized it was Liu Zijun, her sleepiness gradually faded, replaced by a blush of embarrassment.

She glanced at Choi Sulli, struggled briefly, and when she couldn't break free, pointed outside.

Even though things had reached this point among them, the three women were still very shy about being together in such a scene.

Liu Zijun smiled, carried Son Ye-jin—who was wearing a thin nightgown—out of the guest room.

He went straight to the sofa outside.

Son Ye-jin found it strange when Liu Zijun suddenly stopped moving.

"Yejin! You! You always give in to those two. Doesn't it bother you?"

Son Ye-jin adjusted her nightgown and snorted. "Of course it bothers me. How could it not?"

"If I had known earlier, back in Busan or when we met again later, I would have openly admitted you were my little man."

"If that were the case, where would these two little girls come into the picture?!"

Liu Zijun smiled, held Son Ye-jin tightly, and let his hands wander.

"Although I didn't expect this little girl to be so bold, the truth is, things have really gotten better now."

Son Ye-jin let out a soft gasp but still said, "Yes! Actually, Yoona and I both know we can't compete with this little girl."

"But seeing her like this makes us happy too, because we're all family now!"

"Ah! Liu Zijun! Wait!"

"Because there really will be a day when we part. Yoona and I won't die, but Sulli will."

Liu Zijun paused, then picked up Son Ye-jin directly.

"Don't worry, that day will never come. Our family will stay together forever."

"Sulli even said she wants to have five children for me. You, as her older sister, can't fall behind!"

Son Ye-jin trembled all over and slapped Liu Zijun's body with her hands.

"Yah! Liu Zijun! Do you think I'm a pig?"

Liu Zijun chuckled.

"Ah! Liu Zijun! You really are an ox!"

As the night grew deeper, Liu Zijun gently carried Son Ye-jin back to the room, then returned to the living room, drew back the curtains, and stepped out onto the balcony.

Looking out at the still-glittering lights of Seoul, Liu Zijun realized his ties to this place were growing stronger.

Moonlight seeped through the gaps in the curtains, illuminating a corner of the room.

Choi Sulli lay in bed, thinking of the warm sun in the capital, the flower fields of Lugu Lake, and the tenderness of those around her. A smile unconsciously crept onto her lips.

Im Yoona was exhausted tonight, nearly surrendering and crying out the nickname Choi Sulli had teased her with. She slept like a little piglet, too tired to even dream.

Son Ye-jin changed her clothes and slept next to Choi Sulli.

After standing on the balcony for a while, Liu Zijun opened the door and went to the room opposite.

He knocked, and Jiang Hongshao, wearing a sheer nightgown, opened the door.

The little shadow immediately hugged Liu Zijun.

"Oh! BOSS! All drained and now you think of coming to me?"

Liu Zijun didn't break free from her embrace, just patted her bottom and said, "Is the press conference all prepared?"

Jiang Hongshao nodded. "Yes! It's all media collaborating with SM Entertainment, JS Entertainment, and SD Group. Nothing unexpected will happen."

Liu Zijun nodded and asked, "And what about the birthday gift I asked you to prepare for Yoona? How's that coming?"

Jiang Hongshao nodded again. "Screenwriter Park Ji-eun has been successfully contacted. She's already brainstorming the script for 'my love from the star,' and SBS Television Station and China's Mango TV, among others, have started discussions. It will air simultaneously on all these stations."

As she spoke, Jiang Hongshao's hands kept moving.

"I just didn't expect you to provide plot ideas and care about the script."

"Sigh! Looks like you're not up to it tonight. Indeed, only the ox dies from exhaustion; the field never gets worn out from plowing."

Liu Zijun also recalled a few things Choi Soo-myung had mentioned in his previous life. These past few days, while reading news from The Peninsula, he saw a male celebrity and remembered some details.

Im Yoona was one of the few celebrities from The Peninsula he knew in his previous life. Knowing her future achievements were mostly in movies and TV dramas, he wanted to give her a surprise.

That's how he came up with this idea—to let our Yoona shine a bit more this year too.
