18: Chapter 18 He and She in the Dark
Deep in the alley next to FF Club, this was a surveillance blind spot.
A few discarded cardboard boxes were piled on both sides of the alley, and the damp, cold air carried a bit of a stench.
Liu Zijun leaned against the cold wall, clutching the stack of 5 million korean won in cash, looking at the several people surrounding him.
The two anti-fan girls stood before him with greedy eyes and arrogant expressions.
Behind them, three hoodlums with multi-colored hair stood idly with their hands in their pockets, their eyes full of provocation.
They thought Liu Zijun was just some greenhorn trying to hit on the two girls and didn't take him seriously at all.
The leading hoodlum spat on the ground.
"Kid, give us the money and get lost. These two girls are under the protection of our Wild Wolf Gang. If you want to sleep with them, you'll have to wait until we're finished."
After saying that, he burst out laughing and reached out to snatch the cash from Liu Zijun's hand.
Liu Zijun didn't even blink. With a slight flick of his wrist, he dodged the hoodlum's hand while simultaneously raising his foot to kick the man's knee.
With a crisp "crack," the hoodlum let out a pig-slaughtering scream, collapsing to his knees while clutching his leg, his whole body twitching in pain.
Seeing this, the other two hoodlums rushed forward cursing, clutching folding knives they had pulled from their pockets.
Liu Zijun looked at the two of them with disdain.
In less than ten seconds, all three hoodlums were lying on the ground, wailing for their parents.
There was no longer any greed in the two girls' eyes; they were pale with fright, trembling and hugging each other tightly, lacking even the courage to run away.
They never expected that this man, who looked so wealthy, would be so ruthless and skilled.
They had thought they could make a fortune tonight, and at worst, just spend a night with the man.
Besides, judging by his build, the man was very handsome—they wouldn't be losing out!
"Now, can we have a proper talk?"
Liu Zijun put away the cash, his gaze falling on the two girls. His tone was flat, yet it carried an intense sense of pressure.
"This morning in Myeongdong, who told you to cause trouble?"
The shorter girl's teeth were chattering as she stammered, "It... it was someone who gave us money to go there. We didn't know we would offend you..."
Liu Zijun took a step forward, and the girl shrank back in fear, nearly falling over.
"Who gave you the money?"
The three hoodlums were still shouting, "You're dead! You're dead for messing with the Wild Wolf Gang!"
"Stupid bitches! If you dare betray our big brother, none of you will have a good end!"
Liu Zijun narrowed his eyes slightly. "Oh? Is that so?"
His gloved hand picked up the folding knife from the ground and plunged it into the hoodlum's thigh, blood instantly gushing out.
A cold voice rang out: "Will you talk?"
The other taller girl closed her eyes and screamed, "It's... it's Kim Dong-wook from the Seoul Wild Wolf Gang!"
"He gave us 200,000 korean won each to shout those things at the scene and told us to throw coffee cups at Choi Sulli...
We really just wanted to earn some pocket money; we didn't know we'd offend you."
Liu Zijun repeated the name, his fingertips lightly stroking his chin. "Kim Dong-wook? Why did he tell you to do that?"
The shorter girl shook her head, tears falling and smudging her heavy eyeshadow.
"We really don't know. He only told us to cause a scene, the messier the better, and said he'd cover for us if anything happened. We were just confused and agreed..."
Looking at their terrified expressions, Liu Zijun knew these two girls were just pawns being used, with no real value.
He pulled a phone out of the girl's pocket and handed it to the taller one.
"Call Kim Dong-wook and ask him where he is now."
Trembling, the girl took the phone, dialed Kim Dong-wook's number, and turned on the speakerphone.
The phone rang a few times before being picked up, and an arrogant voice came through: "Huh? You brat, what are you calling me for this late? Believe it or not, I'll come over and take care of you myself."
The girl's voice was tearful: "Dong-wook oppa! We, we've run into some trouble and need your help... Where are you right now?"
Kim Dong-wook sneered, "What? Got beaten up by fans? Serves you right. You can't even handle a small task, and you still want money?"
The girl wanted to say more, but Liu Zijun reached out and took the phone.
"Kim Dong-wook? Where are you? I have some matters to discuss with you."
Kim Dong-wook shoved the woman beneath him aside and asked in a low voice, "aishiba! Who the hell are you?"
Liu Zijun chuckled. "It doesn't matter who I am. You're at M2 Bar, right? Wait there, I'm coming over now. Don't even think about running!"
He hung up, glanced at the three hoodlums on the ground, then looked at the two girls: "You can go. Remember, don't do such stupid things again, or next time, it won't be this simple."
The two girls felt as if they had been granted a massive amnesty and scrambled out of the alley, not even caring about the hoodlums on the ground.
The three hoodlums also scrambled away, not daring to utter a single harsh word at this moment.
Someone who dared to go head-to-head with Kim Dong-wook of the Wild Wolf Gang and confidently let him know in advance was definitely not someone to be trifled with.
Liu Zijun walked out of the alley, hailed a taxi, and gave the address for M2 Bar.
A text message arrived: "Are you going there all by yourself? Do you have to handle even these small matters personally now? Should I report your location to Mei?"
Liu Zijun quickly replied: "NO!"
M2 Bar was completely different from FF Club; located in the wealthy area of Gangnam District, it was luxuriously decorated, with various luxury cars parked at the entrance and well-dressed men and women coming and going.
As Liu Zijun entered the bar, melodious jazz music replaced the deafening electronic music. Crystal chandeliers cast a soft light, and the air was thick with the scent of alcohol and hormones.
He glanced at a photo on his phone, his gaze falling on various relatively secluded private booths.
He had already attracted some dissatisfaction from others!
Suddenly, he stopped in front of a booth.
Several men in black suits were sitting there. Their leader was a middle-aged man with a buzz cut, wearing a thick gold chain around his neck and playing with his phone. It was Kim Dong-wook.
He clearly looked like a mobster.
Liu Zijun walked straight over and sat down across from Kim Dong-wook.
Kim Dong-wook looked up at him and frowned. "Who are you? You want something from me?"
His subordinates also looked at Liu Zijun with wary eyes.
Liu Zijun took off his mask, his tone indifferent.
"I just hung up the phone; who do you think I am? You've got guts, not running away. I'll ask, you'll answer. Were you the one who ordered the incident with f(x) in Myeongdong this morning?"
Kim Dong-wook was stunned for a moment, then reacted, his expression darkening. "Who the hell are you?!"
As he spoke, Liu Zijun reached out, picked up a glass from the table, and swirled it gently.
"If you confess honestly, you'll suffer less!"
Kim Dong-wook sneered and slapped the table. His subordinates immediately surrounded Liu Zijun, each with a fierce look on their face.
"Kid, are you tired of living? You dare come here and act wild? Do you know who I am?"
Liu Zijun put down the glass, stood up, and said, "Kim Dong-wook of the Wild Wolf Gang? Are you famous? I'm not interested in who you are; I only want answers."
"Answers?"
One subordinate spoke as he threw a punch toward Liu Zijun's face.
Liu Zijun delivered a side kick, sending the man flying quite a distance.
Seeing this, the other subordinates rushed forward, but were knocked down by Liu Zijun in a few quick moves. All of them were in too much pain to get up, lying on the ground wailing.
Kim Dong-wook turned pale as he watched the scene. He hadn't expected this man to be so skilled.
He tried to run, but Liu Zijun grabbed him by the back of his collar, hauled him back like a chick, and threw him onto the sofa.
"Speak. Who told you to order those two girls to cause trouble?" Liu Zijun looked down at him, the coldness in his eyes making Kim Dong-wook tremble.
Kim Dong-wook gritted his teeth. "I can't say. If I do, I'll be retaliated against..."
Liu Zijun stepped on the back of his hand and used the hoodlum's folding knife to stab through his palm, piercing it completely.
Kim Dong-wook let out a heart-wrenching scream.
"Ah—! I'll talk! I'll talk!"
Liu Zijun released his foot and said coldly, "Speak."
"It's Choi Jae-ho!"
Profusely sweating from the pain, Kim Dong-wook hurriedly said, "He met Choi Sulli at a party and wanted to ruin her reputation, then appear by her side to win her favor."
"Don't do anything reckless. Choi Jae-ho's family is wealthy and powerful. His grandfather is a member of the National Assembly, and his father is the CEO of a shipping company."
Hearing the name and Kim Dong-wook's warning, Liu Zijun was completely indifferent. "Anything else?"
Kim Dong-wook remained silent.
Liu Zijun stabbed the knife into his other hand.
"Also... also, I heard Choi Jae-ho say last time that someone has had their eye on Choi Sulli for a long time, someone with a very powerful background."
Liu Zijun slowly stood up. No wonder in his previous life, Choi Soo-myung was directly dispatched to the African peacekeeping forces and eventually left the military, joining his organization by chance.
It seemed the waters behind this were quite deep!
Having obtained what he wanted, Liu Zijun flicked the folding knife, and it embedded itself between the man's legs.
An earth-shattering scream rang out.
This finally caught the attention of the M2 Bar security, who began to surround him.
But these people were no match for Liu Zijun, and he fought his way all the way to the bar's entrance.
He didn't know, however, that as he fought his way out of the bar, a pair of beautiful eyes was fixed intently on him.
Clearly, someone had recognized who he was!
