111: Chapter 111 A Happy and Joyful Ending

The afterglow of the setting sun fell upon the open grassland of Moon Bay Ranch. A bonfire had long been lit, its dancing flames casting flickering shadows of the people around it, while the crackling of burning wood intertwined with the distant chirping of insects.

Kim Ji-yeon had been busy all afternoon supervising the ranch staff and a specially invited chef; now, she was directing everyone to bring the final delicacy to the table.

A checkered tablecloth covered the long wooden table, which was laden with a dazzling array of food. The aroma drifted with the evening breeze, causing the girls to glance over frequently.

At the very center were two massive charcoal-grilled cheese lobsters, precisely what Liu Zijun had caught from the sea that afternoon.

The lobster shells were grilled to a bright, oily red, with delicious juices seeping from the cracks. The cheese on top was golden brown, drawing a small gasp of surprise from Choi Sulli the moment it was placed on the table.

Beside them were rows of sizzling grilled steaks. The marbled meat locked in its juices under the heat of the flames, the surface bursting with a charred aroma. When cut, the inside revealed an inviting pink hue. Paired with a special black pepper sauce and rosemary, the scent was intoxicating.

In addition to these, there were New Zealand specialty grilled lamb chops on the table.

Seafood such as shrimp, crab, squid, and shellfish were layered one on top of the other.

Golden roasted potatoes were sliced in half, stuffed with cheese, bacon, and corn kernels; one bite revealed a soft, chewy, and stringy texture.

Of course, there was also a refreshing vegetable salad to cut through the richness. Fresh lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers were tossed in an olive oil and vinegar dressing, perfectly complementing the grilled meats.

The dessert area was even more exquisite. The honey-roasted apple pie had a crispy crust, while the inside was soft and sweet, drizzled with warm honey sauce.

In the fresh fruit platter, the kiwis, strawberries, and blueberries were vibrantly colored.

Next to it sat delicate vanilla ice cream, just taken out of the cooler and still emitting wisps of cold vapor.

Drinks included chilled fruit juices, sparkling water, as well as the ranch's own home-brewed fruit wine and grape wine.

Choi Sulli and Im Yoona had long been unable to restrain themselves. They stood by the dining table rubbing their hands, their eyes fixed intently on the grilled lobster.

After all, this was caught personally by their man.

“Wow! This is way too lavish!”

“Oppa, this lobster looks incredibly delicious!”

Liu Zijun smiled as he picked up a knife and fork, helped her cut a piece of lobster meat, and held it to her lips.

“Try it. It’s freshly caught, so it’s bound to taste good.”

Choi Sulli took a bite and then narrowed her eyes in satisfaction.

“So delicious! It’s even fresher than in a restaurant!”

Of course, Im Yoona and the others were not left out.

Victoria Song also picked up a fork and cut a small piece of steak. It was charred on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with juices. She couldn't help but nod and say, “This steak is grilled just right. The texture is amazing!”

Although Krystal Jung didn't say much, her fork never stopped. She would occasionally take a piece of steak or a bite of lobster, and a look of satisfaction appeared on her cool face.

Victoria Song suddenly said, “Even though I curse the life of the wealthy every day, this is truly such an enjoyment.”

This drew a burst of laughter from everyone.

Everyone sat around the bonfire, enjoying the delicious food while chatting, with laughter and joy ringing out continuously.

Halfway through dinner, as the bonfire burned brighter, the ranch cowboys suddenly joined hands and began a lively dance around the fire, humming maori chants.

Alice walked up to the girls and invited them with a smile: “Beautiful ladies, would you like to dance together? A bonfire party can't be without dancing!”

Amber Liu was the first to stand up, grabbing Luna's hand and rushing into the bonfire circle.

Under Kim Ji-yeon's operation, familiar music began to play, and the melody of f(x)'s 'Electric Shock' echoed through the night sky.

Choi Sulli and Krystal Jung rushed out instantly, while Victoria Song, Amber Liu, and Luna quickly coordinated. Their synchronized dance moves drew cheers from the ranch staff.

Im Yoona also joined in, dancing to Girls Generation's 'Gee' and Super Junior's 'Sorry Sorry' with Choi Sulli and the others.

Although Son Ye-jin didn't come from an idol background, she also swayed gently to the rhythm, her dance having its own unique charm.

One moment they were doing high-energy dances, and the next they switched to gentle lyrical ones. The light and shadow of the bonfire reflected on their faces; sweat dampened their hair, yet they still smiled brightly.

Luna, the main vocal of this 'little broken group,' even brought out her bucket list and sang two hit English songs, drawing applause from everyone.

The ranch staff enjoyed the performances immensely, clapping and cheering, with some even tapping along to the beat of the music.

Of course, no one was happier than Eve and the children.

After the dancing ended, the ranch cowboys and many of the burly workers suddenly surrounded them, making an inviting gesture toward Liu Zijun.

Alice explained with a smile, “Boss, they want to invite you to perform the maori Haka with them. This is our ranch's most solemn welcoming ceremony!”

Liu Zijun was stunned for a moment, then smiled and nodded.

This certainly raised the girls' expectations to the maximum.

The maori Haka has a strong rhythm and powerful movements, full of a sense of strength.

The cowboys patiently taught Liu Zijun how to swing his arms, stomp his feet, and shout.

Although it was Liu Zijun's first time dancing it, his learning ability was extremely strong, and he quickly caught on to the rhythm.

He followed the cowboys, performing powerful movements and letting out deep shouts. Although his movements weren't perfect, they carried a unique aura that drew cheers from the girls.

Choi Sulli stood to the side, clapping hard, her eyes full of admiration.

“Oppa is so amazing! He learned so fast!”

Im Yoona also said with a smile, “I didn't expect Oppa to have a talent for dancing. He’s actually doing a pretty good job!”

Seeing Liu Zijun's serious expression, Son Ye-jin's lips curled into a gentle smile as she took out her phone to capture this rare scene.

After the Haka ended, Liu Zijun returned to the girls' side, fine beads of sweat appearing on his forehead.

Choi Sulli quickly handed him a tissue and helped him wipe away the sweat.

“Oppa, you danced so well!”

Amber Liu suddenly said, “Yeah! Oppa, it's your turn to perform! We all danced, so Oppa has to give us a performance too!”

The other girls immediately chimed in: “Yes! Oppa!”

The other staff members also joined in the clamor, shouting 'Oppa, Oppa,' which drew a burst of laughter from the girls.

Liu Zijun smiled helplessly. Surrounded by them, he really couldn't refuse.

He first sang 'Demons,' and everyone felt that their Boss was a man with a story.

This directly stunned the girls.

Does this guy sing this well?

Liu Zijun, perhaps remembering something, took the guitar from August.

“I'll sing an old song from our China. It's been quite a few years; I don't know if you've heard it.”

The area around the bonfire gradually grew quiet. Seeing Liu Zijun so solemn, everyone's gaze focused on him.

Liu Zijun cleared his throat and slowly began to sing, a familiar melody flowing from his lips.

“I've forgotten how long it's been since I last heard you tell me your favorite story...”

His voice was deep and gentle, with a slight touch of world-weariness. Different from the clarity of the original singer, it had a different kind of infectious power.

For him, this song carried too many special memories. Back then, he also had a beautiful first love, but now it could only flow slowly with the song.

The girls listened quietly, the smiles on their faces gradually fading, their eyes full of emotion.

Choi Sulli leaned on Im Yoona's shoulder, listening silently, her eyes welling with tears.

One should know that our Sulli's Chinese is not bad now.

She had heard this song before.

Im Yoona held her hand tightly, her heart also rippling. The sense of story in Liu Zijun's singing made her unable to help but feel for him.

He was becoming more and more charming.

Son Ye-jin gazed at Liu Zijun's back, her eyes full of tenderness. She could feel the deep affection and regret in the singing, and she could understand the past hidden behind this man.

Krystal Jung was completely lost in the song. Although she didn't fully understand all the meanings of the lyrics, she could feel the nostalgia in Liu Zijun's voice.

This man was truly too mysterious and too attractive.

She discovered that her heart, which she had suppressed, seemed to be starting to stir again.

The ranch staff also stopped what they were doing, listening quietly to this unfamiliar Chinese song. Although they couldn't understand the lyrics, the emotion in the melody deeply moved them, and many faces showed expressions of being touched.

“You must believe, believe that we will be like in a fairy tale, where happiness and joy are the ending...”

The singing gradually faded, and the area around the bonfire remained silent. Only after a few seconds did a burst of warm applause and cheers erupt.

Choi Sulli was the first to shout: “It was so beautiful! Oppa, you sang so well!”

The little girl's eyes still held unshed tears.

Victoria Song also nodded and said, “This song is so good. Liu Zijun, you sang it with so much feeling!”

Son Ye-jin walked forward and handed Liu Zijun a glass of water, still so gentle.

“You sang wonderfully. This song must be very special to you, right?”

Liu Zijun took the glass, had a sip, and then grabbed the wine from the table and took a large gulp.

A flash of complex emotion crossed his eyes, followed by a smile.

“It is indeed a song with a story. I haven't sung it in a long time, so I sang it for you today.

I hope we can all be like what's sung in the song, having a happy and joyful ending.”

Choi Sulli and Im Yoona wanted to stop him from drinking; his injuries hadn't healed yet!

But Son Ye-jin held them back and shook her head gently.

Let him be.

The bonfire continued to jump, and everyone began singing and dancing around it again.

Alice watched this warm scene, holding a bottle of beer, and clinked it with Liu Zijun's.

She said to Niu Dehua beside her, “The Boss and these ladies are truly a group of lovely people.”

Niu Dehua smiled and nodded: “It's wonderful to see such a scene. This is probably the liveliest bonfire party Moon Bay Ranch has ever had.”

While they were reveling here, a group of people in Seoul on The Peninsula were filled with various emotions.
