127: Chapter 127 Annihilation of Ding Yuan

"Fine, fine!!!"

"Let's go!"

Inner Sect Elder Han Song gritted his teeth, turned, and left.

The Xuanyi Sect Disciples, as if granted amnesty, scrambled and crawled after Inner Sect Elder Han Song, retreating out of the hall.

Ding Yuan did not pursue. Leaning on his sword, he stood before the bronze vat, watching Inner Sect Elder Han Song's back disappear into the mist outside the hall, the corners of his mouth curling slightly into a cold sneer.

"Heh!"

After Inner Sect Elder Han Song left, a young Disciple approached, a look of worry on his face, and lowered his voice to say, "Elder, by doing this, we have thoroughly offended the Xuanyi Sect. Once we get out, I fear they will not let this matter rest..."

Ding Yuan sheathed his spirit sword and turned around.

"Rest assured. When the Yao Race attacked, I already used a secret technique to notify the Sect. If all goes as expected, when we exit, a Golden Core Elder from the Sect will be there to receive us."

As soon as these words were spoken, the Heavenly Sword Sect Disciples' eyes lit up, and the worry on their faces was instantly replaced by excitement.

With a Golden Core Elder to receive them, even if the Xuanyi Sect wanted to retaliate, they would have to weigh the consequences.

In this struggle for the Secret Realm, the Heavenly Sword Sect was certain to win.

Ding Yuan withdrew his gaze and looked back at the massive bronze vat, a flicker of greed flashing in his eyes.

He stepped forward, raised his hand to press against the rim of the bronze vat, and Spiritual Qi surged from his palm, probing into the vat.

A moment later, he frowned, the greed on his face turning into gravity.

The bronze vat was covered in dense, intricate runes, each one like a lock, sealing the contents of the vat tightly.

His spiritual power probed into the vat, but it was like a clay ox entering the sea, failing to elicit any reaction at all.

"What on earth is inside this thing?"

Just as Ding Yuan was muttering while staring at the runes on the bronze vat, a hoarse voice drifted down from the flying eaves behind him, unhurried and carrying a hint of chill.

"Whatever it is, stop looking. You won't be able to obtain it anyway."

Ding Yuan's pupils shrank violently, and he turned around abruptly.

From the shadows of the flying eaves, a figure slowly stepped out.

Half-human, half-Yao, with wings slightly spread behind him, his skin was as pale as a corpse, and his body was covered in irregular black tattoos. His blood-red pupils glowed with a faint, cold light in the darkness. It was none other than Wu Li.

"Yao Race!"

Ding Yuan's voice was as cold as shards of ice, his hand already pressed against the hilt of his sword.

Behind him, the Heavenly Sword Sect Disciples drew their swords one after another, the sword light flickering as they all aimed at Wu Li.

Several spiritual senses locked onto Wu Li simultaneously; if he dared to move, the overwhelming Sword Qi would drown him.

Wu Li stood where he was, motionless. His blood-red pupils swept across the Disciples, the corners of his mouth curling slightly into a cold sneer.

Ding Yuan stared at Wu Li, his eyes filled with wariness.

This crow had single-handedly severely injured three Peak Foundation Establishment Elders of the Xuanyi Sect outside; he had seen the strength of his combat power with his own eyes.

Although there were not many of them at the moment, if they truly fought, the outcome would be unpredictable.

"What do you want?"

Ding Yuan's voice was low and hurried, his right hand gripping the sword hilt tightly, his knuckles turning white.

"What do I want? I have the same idea as you."

"I want this thing. Get lost."

As the words fell, Ding Yuan felt a surge of annoyance, because he had just said these words to Inner Sect Elder Han Song not long ago.

"Yao Race, how dare you!"

Ding Yuan shouted sternly, waved his right hand, and his spirit sword unsheathed.

The sword light was like a streak of silk, carving a sharp arc in the air. He did not underestimate his opponent and used the Heavenly Sword Sect's ultimate technique right from the start.

"Nine Swords of Heavenly Travel!"

"Cloud Breaker!"

The sword light exploded, transforming into a massive Sword Qi, carrying the spiritual power of the Peak Foundation Establishment. It emitted a sharp whistling sound as it cut through the air, and the wind pressure from the Sword Qi plowed a deep groove into the bluestone floor as it slashed straight at Wu Li.

"Hmm?"

Wu Li's pupils shrank slightly. He flapped his wings violently, his figure retreating like an arrow, and he waved his claws, two streams of Demon Power transforming into demonic light to strike back.

"Boom!"

Upon the collision of the moves, Wu Li actually suffered a small loss; his Demon Power was shattered, and the Sword Qi grazed his chest, striking the hall pillar behind him.

The pillar shattered upon impact, rubble flew, and dust filled the air.

"Interesting."

Ding Yuan did not give him a chance to catch his breath.

"Space Splitter!"

Another streak of Sword Qi slashed out, transforming into countless tiny sword shadows in the air, shooting towards Wu Li in an overwhelming barrage, sealing off all his paths of retreat.

Wu Li flapped his wings continuously, his figure dodging left and right in the air.

"Colorless Profound Light!"

"Hum~"

The pitch-black Profound Light expanded, rapidly enveloping Ding Yuan's attack. In a breath's time, the Profound Light vibrated, then silently neutralized all of Ding Yuan's attacks.

Seeing this, Ding Yuan's face turned as pale as paper, and sweat beads streamed down his cheeks.

He gritted his teeth and raised his spirit sword again.

"Third Sword, Life Ender!"

All the runes on the spirit sword lit up, emitting a blinding golden light.

A streak of Sword Qi, even more violent than the previous two, shot out from the tip of the sword like an angry dragon, heading straight for Wu Li's chest. The speed of the Sword Qi was astonishing, reaching him in the blink of an eye.

"Boom~"

With a wave of his hand, Wu Li condensed the Colorless Profound Light at will, turning it into a ball of black light that rotated in his palm. As it expanded, it blocked Ding Yuan's third sword, and finally, the Colorless Profound Light enveloped the Sword Qi, neutralizing it all the same.

"I did underestimate you a bit."

"But this is where it ends!"

Ding Yuan leaned on his sword, panting heavily.

Three swords—the first three of the Nine Swords of Heavenly Travel—were already his limit.

Once these three swords were unleashed, if Inner Sect Elder Han Song were still here, it would have been enough to kill him three times over.

Yet this crow before him had taken the three swords head-on and only suffered some superficial injuries; his breath hadn't even been disrupted.

His face was as pale as paper, his legs were trembling, and the hand gripping the sword hilt was also shaking. His spiritual power was almost exhausted, his body feeling empty, as if he had been drained dry.

Wu Li did not give him a chance to catch his breath.

He flapped his wings violently, his figure shooting out like an arrow, with astonishing speed, reaching Ding Yuan in the blink of an eye.

The Heavenly Sword Sect Disciples' expressions changed drastically; they drew their swords one after another and rushed forward, wanting to stop Wu Li.

But Wu Li didn't even glance at them. He flapped his wings violently, and his Demon Power transformed into countless pitch-black flying blades, pouring down like a rainstorm. Wherever the flying blades passed, the air was torn apart, emitting sharp whistling sounds.

"Puchi! Puchi! Puchi!"

Screams rose and fell one after another.

One by one, the Heavenly Sword Sect Disciples had their chests pierced by the flying blades, blood gushing forth as they collapsed to the ground, unable to rise.

In the blink of an eye, all the Heavenly Sword Sect Disciples had fallen into pools of blood; not one of them could stand up.

Ding Yuan's pupils shrank violently; he wanted to raise his sword to block, but his hands were no longer listening to him.

His spiritual power was exhausted, his body heavy as if filled with lead; he didn't even have the strength to lift his hand.

A low roar rumbled in his throat, his eyes filled with despair and unwillingness. Wu Li rushed in front of Ding Yuan, thrusting out his right claw, his five sharp talons like hooks, piercing straight through Ding Yuan's chest.

"Puchi!"

Blood gushed out.

Ding Yuan's body stiffened violently. He looked down at the blood-stained claw in his chest, his mouth agape, but he could no longer make a sound.
