131: Chapter 131 You're so arrogant!

Zhang Huaiyuan turned and moved quickly, running to the corpses of those Heavenly Sword Sect Disciples, squatting down to search for Storage Rings.

One, two, three...

He found over a dozen Storage Rings and dug out a few Storage Pouches as well, dumping their contents onto the ground with a clatter. Spirit Medicine, Spirit Stones, Magical Artifacts, and Medicinal Pills piled up on the ground...

Wu Li stood up, spread his wings, and with a flash of his figure, flew in the direction Zhang Huaiyuan had indicated.

His half-human, half-demon body traced an arc through the air, and the wings behind him stirred up a gust of wind, sending dust within the hall swirling everywhere.

The Iron-Backed Bear King lay on the ground; he could no longer maintain his demon form. His figure slowly shrank amidst the Demon Power, transforming from a five-meter-tall humanoid bear body into his true bear demon form, three zhang tall.

He turned his head, his bronze bell-sized eyes looking at the Rift-Wind Wolf King beside him, who was likewise pinned down and unable to lift his head. He tugged at the corner of his mouth, squeezing out a smile that looked worse than crying, his voice so hoarse it was almost inaudible: "Old Wolf, we might not make it out this time..."

The Rift-Wind Wolf King lay on the ground, his dark green eyes fixed tightly on Granny Bixia. Gritting his teeth, his Demon Power surged wildly. He separated a wisp within his body, transforming it into a layer of pale black light shield that enveloped the Iron-Backed Bear King.

"Stop talking nonsense! Save your strength, we'll break out in a moment!"

The light shield had just formed when it was scorched by the golden flames of the Formation, sizzling and thinning by a third.

The Rift-Wind Wolf King's face turned even paler, the veins on his forehead bulging, but he did not withdraw his Demon Power.

Granny Bixia took a step forward, her cloudy old eyes full of smugness, a cold sneer hanging on the corner of her mouth. Her voice was hoarse and low, like a cat playing with a mouse.

"Beasts are just beasts, caring about others at a time like this. I have already made myself very clear: hand over the items, and I might consider giving you a quick death now."

As she spoke, she took two more steps forward. The Sword Qi of the silver-white small sword in her hand flickered, the golden light of the Formation grew increasingly intense, and the pressure mounted, causing the spines of the Iron-Backed Bear King and the Rift-Wind Wolf King to bend downward inch by inch.

Just then, a hoarse voice came from the distance.

"You are quite arrogant."

Before the words had even faded.

A terrifying beam of Demon Power shot out from the mist, its speed astonishing. Carrying the power of a half-step Third Rank demon, it headed straight for Granny Bixia's face.

Granny Bixia's pupils constricted sharply. She kicked off the ground and retreated violently. At the same time, she swung the silver-white small sword in her hand, and a sharp Sword Qi shot out from the tip, colliding with the beam of Demon Power.

"Boom!"

The Demon Power and Sword Qi collided, exploding into a wave of air.

Granny Bixia was shaken back several steps by the aftershock, her face turning slightly pale.

She looked up toward the direction from which the Demon Power had shot.

A figure slowly walked out of the mist.

Half-human and half-demon, with wings slightly spread behind him, it was none other than Wu Li.

"Boom!"

Wu Li's figure descended from mid-air, his feet landing on the rubble and smashing a shallow pit into the ground.

He stood in front of the Formation, his blood-red pupils fixed on Granny Bixia, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly in a cold sneer.

Upon seeing Wu Li, the Iron-Backed Bear King and the Rift-Wind Wolf King's eyes lit up simultaneously.

The Iron-Backed Bear King tugged at the corner of his mouth, revealing a smile that looked worse than crying, his voice hoarse: "Little brother, you've finally arrived..."

The Rift-Wind Wolf King did not speak, but a glimmer of light flashed in his dark green eyes, and the Demon Power on his body stabilized a bit.

Wu Li did not turn back, his blood-red pupils still fixed on Granny Bixia.

He stood where he was without moving, but Colorless Profound Light surged out from his body, spreading in all directions like a tide.

Wherever the Profound Light reached, everything lost its color.

The golden Formation dimmed, the golden light of the prayer beads vanished, and even the Sword Qi of the silver-white small sword was suppressed.

"Retreat!"

Granny Bixia's expression changed drastically, and she shouted sternly.

She led the Luoxia Sect Disciples in a rapid retreat, pulling back dozens of zhang before escaping the range covered by the Colorless Profound Light.

A few Disciples with lower cultivation could not dodge in time and were affected by the Profound Light. They fell to the ground screaming; their skin cracked, and before blood could even flow out, it was evaporated, revealing blackened muscles.

Granny Bixia's face was livid. Only after shooting streams of spiritual light from her palms could she dispel the Profound Light from those Disciples.

A few breaths later, the Colorless Profound Light slowly dissipated.

Granny Bixia looked up toward the spot where Wu Li was, her cloudy old eyes constricting sharply.

Her prayer beads were now in Wu Li's hand.

The string of one hundred and eight prayer beads lay quietly in Wu Li's palm; the golden light on them had dimmed, like a lamp that had been blown out.

The Iron-Backed Bear King and the Rift-Wind Wolf King had already climbed up from the ground and stood shakily behind Wu Li. They were charred black all over, their fur burned beyond recognition, but their eyes were filled with ferocity as they glared viciously at Granny Bixia, as if they wanted to swallow her alive.

Wu Li did not turn back, his blood-red pupils fixed on Granny Bixia, his voice hoarse and flat.

"Can you still fight?"

The Iron-Backed Bear King shook his head and said in a muffled voice: "My Demon Power is exhausted; I can barely stand."

The Rift-Wind Wolf King also shook his head, his voice hoarse and weak: "Me too."

Wu Li nodded. There was no emotion in his blood-red pupils, and his voice remained flat: "Then leave the rest to me."

Wu Li's gaze moved away from the Iron-Backed Bear King and the Rift-Wind Wolf King, landing on Granny Bixia.

Granny Bixia instinctively felt a sense of crisis. Her cloudy old eyes constricted sharply, and she gripped the silver-white small sword in her hand even tighter, her voice hoarse and hurried: "You!"

Before she could finish speaking, Wu Li's Demon Power rippled, and the Colorless Profound Light surged out from his body again, spreading in all directions like a tide. It was astonishingly fast, reaching Granny Bixia in the blink of an eye.

"Not good!"

Granny Bixia's expression changed drastically. No longer caring about any decorum, she flung the silver-white small sword from her hand.

The moment the small sword left her hand, all the runes on the blade lit up, emitting a dazzling silver-white light and transforming into a silver-white goshawk in the air.

"Screech!!!"

The goshawk had a wingspan of two zhang, its silver-white feathers as sharp as knives, and its eyes flashing with a deep blue light. With a flap of its wings, it lunged straight at Wu Li.

Its speed was astonishing, carrying sharp Sword Qi, and wherever it passed, it emitted a shrill sound of tearing through the air.

Wu Li did not even blink. He raised his right hand, and Colorless Profound Light condensed in his palm, forming a huge black crow claw. With five fingers like hooks, he swiped at the silver-white goshawk.

The goshawk did not dodge or evade, its sharp claws swiping at the black crow claw. The silver-white Sword Qi and the black Demon Power collided, exploding into a wave of air.

The black crow claw clenched fiercely, grabbing the silver-white goshawk tightly. The five sharp talons embedded themselves into the goshawk's body, shattering the silver-white feathers and revealing the silver-white sword body beneath.

The goshawk let out a shrill screech, struggling desperately, but the black crow claw tightened its grip, not budging an inch.

The Colorless Profound Light spread from the black crow claw, slowly covering the entire body of the goshawk.

The silver-white sword body was corroded by the Colorless Profound Light, emitting a "sizzling" sound, like a red-hot iron plate being plunged into ice water.
