69: Is that all for Chapter 69?

Two days later.

Deep within the Limestone Cave.

Wu Li squatted on a bluestone, eyes closed, his Demon Power circulating slowly within him.

The crumpled animal skin was spread out before him; he had already memorized the incantations and techniques on it by heart.

Stomach Storage sounds mysterious, but it is actually just using Demon Power to open up a storage space within the body. It is a bit like an invincible, miniaturized version of Qiankun in the Sleeve...

It is not a true spatial dimension, but rather expanding a part of the body and maintaining it with Demon Power. When putting items inside, they can be proportionally shrunk. Currently, only a Tier 2 Yao Beast can do this, because the Physical Body of a Tier 2 Yao Beast is strong enough to withstand such strain.

"Ga ga~"

Wu Li took a deep breath, his Demon Power surging within him, and according to the techniques on the animal skin, slowly gathered it toward his abdomen.

At first, he felt nothing; the Demon Power flowed there like water into a desert, disappearing without a trace.

Wu Li did not give up, trying over and over again, compressing, condensing, and re-compressing the Demon Power.

Finally, on the seventh attempt, a slight stinging sensation came from deep within his abdomen, as if something had been pushed open.

Wu Li opened his eyes and mouth, probing the opened gap with his Demon Power.

It was not large, about the size of a fist, but it was enough.

He stretched out his right claw, picked up a Spirit Stone from the bluestone, and stuffed it into his mouth.

As the Spirit Stone entered his mouth, it did not slide down his throat but was swallowed by that gap, disappearing without a trace.

With a thought from Wu Li, the Spirit Stone was spat back out of his mouth, completely undamaged.

"It worked."

The corners of Wu Li's mouth curled up slightly, and he stuffed the Spirit Stone back in.

Stomach Storage, though rudimentary, has the advantage of convenience. This thing can expand as his cultivation improves. Currently, the Stomach Storage within Wu Li's body can only hold a few small things.

"That's about enough."

Wu Li calculated the time. It had been several days since the night of the full moon, and Su Wanyue should be back from the Secret Realm.

"I'll go take a look."

Wu Li spread his wings and flew out of the Limestone Cave, passing through the gaps between the dense stone pillars, and swooped toward the Mass Grave.

The night breeze was cool, and the moonlight was like water.

The Mass Grave was shrouded in a gray-black Death Qi. Graves were scattered about, tombstones were crooked, and it was as quiet as a forgotten graveyard.

Wu Li landed on a stone pillar at the edge of the Mass Grave, his bean-sized black eyes scanning the surroundings.

He did not see Su Wanyue.

But just as he was about to fly in to take a look, a faint sound of robes rustling in the wind came from afar.

Wu Li suddenly retracted his wings, his body pressed tightly against the stone pillar. Colorless Profound Light silently enveloped his entire body, and his figure instantly vanished into the night.

Four figures emerged from the darkness.

They wore uniform gray-white dharma robes, with a small sword pattern embroidered on the hem, jade plaques hanging at their waists, their footsteps light, and their auras restrained.

The cultivation levels of the four were not high—two at the seventh layer of Qi Refining, two at the eighth layer—but their movements were surprisingly synchronized, as if they had undergone long-term training in coordination.

The four of them split into four directions, each holding a palm-sized compass in their hands. The edges of the compasses were carved with dense runes, and the needles trembled slightly as they walked.

They walked very slowly, each step seemingly measuring something, and the needles on the compasses turned as they moved, sometimes fast, sometimes slow.

The four of them converged from four directions toward the center of the Mass Grave, finally stopping in an area scattered with rubble.

That was exactly the location where the Bai family Elder had been killed.

Although the body had been disposed of by Wu Li, the bloodstains and traces of the battle were still faintly visible.

The needles of the four compasses stopped simultaneously, all pointing toward the ground.

"It is here."

One of the Cultivators said in a low voice, "Elder Bai's aura remains here."

"There are no abnormalities found in the surroundings; it must have been cleaned up by something."

Another Cultivator added, his gaze sweeping across the surroundings.

The four remained silent for a moment, then put away their compasses and checked the area again, but found no further clues.

The leader shook his head: "Let's go back and report first."

The four nodded in unison, turned around, and walked out of the Mass Grave, quickly disappearing into the darkness.

Wu Li waited for a while longer, and after confirming that the four had truly gone far away, he dispelled the Colorless Profound Light, and his figure reappeared.

He squatted on the stone pillar, his bean-sized black eyes staring in the direction where the four had disappeared, a trace of curiosity flashing in his eyes.

Wu Li squatted on the stone pillar, looking at the direction where the four had disappeared, his mind swirling with doubts.

The Bai family Elder came to capture Su Wanyue and died.

The Bai family sent people to investigate; this makes sense.

But he was curious about another matter.

Su Wanyue was already dead. To the Bai family, she was merely a Yin Spirit Realm ghost; even if there were some grudges while she was alive, it wouldn't be worth such great effort after her death.

Unless...

There was something on her that the Bai family had to obtain.

The Moon Yin Body could be directly ruled out; to a living person, a dead Moon Yin Body is useless.

"Interesting."

Wu Li murmured in a low voice, then revealed his aura.

As soon as Wu Li's aura was released, there was a response from deep within the Mass Grave.

A red figure floated out from a grave mound and slowly landed in front of him.

Su Wanyue's current appearance caused Wu Li's brows to furrow slightly. Even with the enhancement of the moonlight, her figure was extremely ethereal. The blood-red of her wedding dress had faded until it was almost invisible, and the golden Phoenix on the hem of her skirt was reduced to a faint shadow. She looked as if she could dissipate into the night breeze at any moment.

"You've come."

Su Wanyue's voice was so weak it was almost inaudible.

Wu Li did not pay attention to her injuries and asked directly: "Did you manage to get any good treasures?"

Su Wanyue nodded.

She raised her hand and waved it gently, and three items appeared out of thin air on the ground before them.

A set of dark cyan armor, its surface covered with fine cracks, its runes dim, yet it was still largely intact, exuding an ancient and heavy aura.

There was a deep crack in the chest of the armor, as if it had been pierced through by something. At the edge of the crack were dark red rust stains, though it was unclear whether it was blood or rust.

Besides this.

There were also two golden spirit fruits, the size of a fist. The skin was covered in fine patterns, like flowing golden liquid solidified on the surface, glowing with a faint fluorescence, their Spiritual Qi so rich it was refreshing.

Wu Li's bean-sized black eyes stared at those two items.

"Just this?"

Wu Li asked.

Su Wanyue looked at Wu Li, "How did you know there was more?"

Wu Li did not speak.

Su Wanyue did not make Wu Li wait long; she raised her hand and produced a pair of things that looked like earrings, which floated in mid-air.

Those things were only the size of a fingernail, entirely silver-white, with a surface as smooth as a mirror, showing nothing special.

But as Su Wanyue pointed a finger, the pair of earrings trembled violently and instantly enlarged, turning into two silver-white halos floating by her side.

The halos were sharpened on both the inside and outside, their edges as sharp as knives, gleaming with a cold, eerie light under the moonlight.

The inner circle was smooth as a mirror, while the outer circle was covered in fine, serrated blades. As they rotated, they emitted a low humming sound, like a swarm of bees flapping their wings.
