247: Chapter 247 The Powerful Lin Fan

Together with Lin Fan.

As he moved, the three blood puppets moved simultaneously.

The Qiuya Blood Puppet crossed its arms, and two black bone claws slashed down in a cross.

Two blood-colored claw marks intersected into a cross, pressing toward Lin Fan with a piercing sound of breaking through the air.

The two great Yao Race puppets flanked him from the left and right sides simultaneously, their elongated bone claws tearing through the air and thrusting directly at Lin Fan's waist and ribs.

Lin Fan's pupils constricted slightly, but he did not retreat.

He flipped his wrist, and golden light surged from the sword blade, transforming into a thick screen of light to block in front of him.

"Clang!!"

The bone claws collided with the light screen, producing a dull sound of metal clashing.

The soil beneath Lin Fan's feet was shaken and sank three inches, but his figure remained motionless.

The sound of scripture chanting rose again. Taking advantage of that brief gap, he rotated his right hand, flipping the sword blade.

Golden light condensed into a sharp, thin line at the sword tip, sweeping horizontally toward the throat of the great Yao Race puppet on the right!

"Ssh!"

The golden light sliced across the great Yao Race puppet's neck, producing a faint sound that was almost inaudible.

The puppet's movements stiffened for a moment, and its head tilted slightly to one side, but it did not fall off!

Blood light seeped from the wound, and in the blink of an eye, it reconnected.

Lin Fan frowned, immediately retracted his sword, dodged another bone claw attacking from the left, tapped his toes on the ground, and slid back several feet.

After a brief pause, the three blood puppets locked their six Blood Pupils onto his position and pressed forward again.

"How have these Yao Race members become so strange?"

Lin Fan could not figure it out, nor did he have the time to ask.

The three blood puppets had regained their footing the moment his Buddha Power exploded.

As if provoked by that layer of golden light, their six Blood Pupils simultaneously lit up with dark red light, locking onto his position.

The Qiuya Blood Puppet moved first, crossing its claws.

Two black bone claws slashed down, and two blood-colored claw marks tore through the air in a cross shape, pressing toward Lin Fan's front.

The two great Yao Race puppets flanked him from both sides, their bone claws elongating, wrapped in dark Demon Power, and thrusting directly at Lin Fan's waist and ribs.

Lin Fan's pupils constricted slightly, but he did not retreat.

He flipped his wrist, and golden light surged from the bone sword, condensing into a thick golden screen of light in front of him, his lips moving slightly.

"Om, Vajra, Dhatu, Vam."

"Buddha Light Wall."

"Boom!"

The bone claws collided with the light screen, producing a dull impact sound.

A crack appeared on the surface of the golden light screen, but it was filled in by the subsequent surge of golden light before the blood light could seep in.

The soil beneath Lin Fan's feet was shaken and sank an inch, but his figure did not retreat.

In the distance, Zhao Qinghe stood up, supporting himself with his broken blade.

Watching the golden light screen that was constantly repairing itself, his voice carried an irrepressible shock: "He… he is holding off three blood puppets by himself?"

Teacher Zhou Yan did not answer, his gaze fixed on Lin Fan, confirming how much longer he could hold on.

Taking advantage of that brief gap, Lin Fan rotated his right hand, flipping the sword blade.

Golden light condensed into a sharp, thin line at the sword tip, sweeping horizontally toward the throat of the great Yao Race puppet on the right, while he chanted in a low voice.

"Om, A, Hum."

"Golden Light Slash."

The golden line cut into the great Yao Race puppet's neck with almost no resistance.

Blood light seeped from the wound, and the great Yao Race puppet's movements stiffened for a beat, but its head did not fall off.

Dark red blood light rapidly condensed from the wound, and in the blink of an eye, it reconnected.

Lin Fan frowned slightly, retracted his sword, and retreated, dodging another bone claw from the left.

He tapped his toes on the ground and slid back several feet.

Zhao Qinghe's voice rang out again, carrying an even more obvious astonishment: "It didn't even break?"

Teacher Zhou Yan's gaze remained on Lin Fan as he spoke: "The blood puppets' bodies have been reshaped by Demon Power, and ordinary slashes cannot break through the speed at which their blood threads repair."

He paused, "He has figured it out."

Lin Fan had indeed figured it out.

He did not attempt to slash again, but instead struck out with his left palm, chanting.

"Om, Maha, Vairochana."

A ball of golden flame exploded from his palm, wrapped in the sound of scriptures, and pressed toward the great Yao Race puppet that was still repairing itself.

The moment the flames touched the great Yao Race puppet, a sizzling burning sound erupted, like oil dripping into a hot pan.

Golden tongues of flame spread along the great Yao Race puppet's shoulders and neck, enveloping its entire upper body in golden light, while the dark red blood light churned and evaporated within the golden flames.

Cracks appeared on the great Yao Race puppet's body from its shoulders to its chest, splitting open like baked clay, and fragments fell to the ground.

It soon stopped struggling and knelt down.

Zhao Qinghe watched the disintegrating blood puppet, his lips moving, unsure how to describe what he had just seen.

A moment later, he managed to squeeze out: "That palm strike of his…"

Teacher Zhou Yan did not answer this time, only watching Lin Fan's back, as if confirming how much Buddha Power he still had left to use.

The other great Yao Race puppet took the opportunity to pounce from the side, its claws slashing down toward Lin Fan's back.

Lin Fan did not turn around; he flicked his sword backhanded, and a golden sword light flew from the tip, cutting upward against the trajectory of the bone claws, catching the timing difference.

The sword light and the bone claws collided in mid-air, producing a crisp sound, and the great Yao Race puppet's claw blades were sliced off by the golden light.

It paused for a moment, seemingly not expecting the opponent to be able to complete this counterattack before turning around.

In the gap created when the claw blades were sliced open, Lin Fan turned sideways, gripping the sword in his right hand.

He condensed a faint golden ball of light in his left palm and pushed it toward the great Yao Race puppet's chest, his voice low and clear.

"Om, Hum, Phat."

"Wisdom King Seal."

Lin Fan mobilized the powerful Buddha Power within his body and shouted sharply.

The golden ball of light struck the great Yao Race puppet's chest, producing a dull sound.

Golden light spread outward from within its body, and an expanding cocoon of light pried open its shell from the inside.

Cracks spread from the chest to the limbs, and fine golden debris burst from the openings.

The great Yao Race puppet's body rapidly shriveled, like an old skin bag emptied of its internal support, and within a few seconds, it could no longer maintain its original form and crumbled to the ground.

Zhao Qinghe looked at the two shattered blood puppets, then glanced at Lin Fan's back, not knowing what to say.

After a long time, he finally spat out: "He killed two of them by himself…"

Teacher Zhou Yan's gaze fell on the remaining Qiuya Blood Puppet, his voice low: "There is still one left."

Lin Fan withdrew his palm, his breathing heavier than before.

The golden halo in his palm was fading at an even faster rate; every strike was consuming the same limited source of water.

He could feel that the flow of Buddha Power within his body was much slower than before, and something in his Meridians was drying up.

The Qiuya Blood Puppet stood in place, not pursuing.

It was not in a hurry to advance, but simply adjusted its stance slightly so that its body faced Lin Fan, as if waiting for his next move.

Lin Fan did not keep it waiting for too long; after all, he knew his own situation.

He pressed his palms together, held the bone sword horizontally between them, and chanted in a low voice.

"Namo, Amitabha-bhavaya."

"Boom~"

The golden light lit up around him once again, but it was much dimmer than before, like an oil lamp burning down to the bottom.

The flame was still there, but there was no extra heat to radiate outward.
