Iraq currently had some oil in storage, but the amount was not particularly large. Providing 260 million barrels of oil would deplete their existing oil reserves. For the subsequent payments, they would have to rely on newly extracted and produced oil.

Iraq's current daily oil production was about 5 million barrels, which meant they could produce around 150 million barrels of oil a month. Using half of that oil to pay for the weapons and equipment was barely acceptable. If necessary, they could just increase daily oil production to meet the needs of oil exports.

Li Yi nodded and said, "We can accept this payment arrangement. Therefore, we will deliver the first batch of weapons and equipment within one month, and before your final payment of 80 million barrels of oil, we will deliver the second batch, which is the remaining weapons and equipment."

Major General Maliki thought for a moment and agreed, "No problem. You can deliver the weapons and equipment to us according to this timeline."

He did not demand that Li Yi deliver the weapons and equipment immediately. Currently, the possibility of a large-scale war in Iraq was very small; most of the time, they were dealing with domestic resistance forces, so a slight delay in the delivery of the second batch wouldn't have much of an impact.

"We will pay the oil in Basra; we have a lot of oil stored there," Major General Maliki said.

As Iraq's petrochemical center, Basra was close to Iraq's major oil-producing regions and was an important port for Iraq's oil exports, with many oil storage warehouses built there. Paying the oil through Basra could save a lot of time in mobilizing the oil.

Li Yi had no objection to receiving the oil in Basra. As long as Iraq didn't pull any tricks and could pay the oil on time, Li Yi would also deliver the weapons and equipment on time.
