82: Chapter 82 Funds for oil purchases not exceeding 200 million barrels

Lieutenant Colonel Haidari wasted no time and immediately contacted Li Yi.

"No problem." Li Yi had no objection to this.

"Once I've coordinated everything on my end, Lieutenant Colonel Haidari will contact you to give you the specific details."

"Good." Li Yi didn't say much more.

After ending the call with Li Yi, Major General Rahim quickly reported the results back to Commander-in-Chief Qasim.

"Commander-in-Chief Qasim, the arms dealer has agreed to sell the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles. I have settled the location and time for negotiations with him."

"Good news. Where and when will the negotiations take place?" Commander-in-Chief Qasim was very satisfied that there was good news so quickly.

"The negotiations will be in Beirut, set for tomorrow afternoon. Is this arrangement acceptable?"

"No problem. I will arrange for Colonel Suman to head to Beirut to participate in the negotiations."

"There is an order. I want to send you to Beirut to participate in negotiations regarding the procurement of Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles," Commander-in-Chief Qasim said directly.

"Participate in negotiations? Procuring anti-aircraft missiles?" Colonel Suman was a bit confused.

"Major General Rahim will accompany you in the negotiations. You can communicate the specific details with him. I only care about the final result—how many Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles we can procure."

Commander-in-Chief Qasim wouldn't bother with the trivial details of the negotiation process; he only needed to know if the final outcome met expectations.

"Yes, Commander-in-Chief." Colonel Suman felt relieved upon learning that Major General Rahim would also be participating.

"The arms dealer has agreed to use oil for payment. I am giving you a budget of no more than 200 million barrels of oil for the procurement of the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles. If there are any changes, you can contact me directly."
