"The arms dealers we've worked with before are all unwilling to sell us anti-aircraft missiles? They won't even sell us short-range anti-aircraft missiles?" Lieutenant General Ham pressed.

"Yes. I spoke with them, and they all found various excuses to avoid selling us anti-aircraft missiles."

"We cannot afford 100 sets of the Tianlei Type II Anti-Aircraft Missile; just buy 30 sets, and 60 accompanying missiles."

"We cannot afford 50 sets of the Tianlei Type III Anti-Aircraft Missile; just buy 20 sets, and 30 accompanying missiles."

"The Tianlei Type IV Anti-Aircraft Missile will be reserved for deterrence purposes; purchase 2 sets, and 2 accompanying missiles."

Since the quantities purchased did not meet the conditions for a discount, they ultimately had to be purchased at the original price.

Major General Dula calculated the total cost of the purchase on the side, which came to exactly 180 million USD.

180 million USD was barely acceptable for Jordan. Any more than that would deplete Jordan's foreign exchange reserves and impact the country's economic development.

Although the quantity of Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles purchased was not large, it could barely support Jordan in deploying a rudimentary air defense system along the border with Israel, preventing them from being completely helpless in the face of air raids from Israel.

After finalizing the quantity of Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles to be purchased, Lieutenant General Ham instructed Major General Dula to discuss the specific details of the arms trade contract, such as missile delivery and payment.

Mannila had to say, "There is no discount from me. If you discuss it in detail with the arms dealer, we'll see if the arms dealer is willing to provide any further discounts."

"We haven't discussed the specifics yet. They want you to come to Amman to discuss the details of the arms trade."

Jordan was not a war-torn region, so Li Yi had no objections to going to Amman.

"Fine. I'll head over immediately. You communicate with them; let's make it tomorrow morning."

"Then the mediation fee I get for the arms order remains unchanged, right?" Mannila asked.

"The mediation fees will be adjusted. If the order amount is less than 1 billion USD, the mediation fee will be 5%; if the order amount is higher than 1 billion USD but less than 10 billion USD, the mediation fee will be 8%; for orders over 10 billion USD, the mediation fee will be calculated at 10%."

In order to incentivize Mannila to strive for larger clients, Li Yi decided to adjust the mediation fees for arms orders paid to him. If it was a small order, the mediation fee would be lowered; if it was a super-large order, the mediation fee would remain the same.

Although Mannila could earn 1 billion USD if he landed an arms order exceeding 10 billion USD, the funds Li Yi could obtain would be even greater.

This was very favorable for him. Larger orders could yield greater profits.

After all, his costs were fixed and would not increase due to larger orders requiring more manpower or resources, thus avoiding an increase in arms costs.

On the streets of Amman, Li Yi even saw camels walking, a situation where camels and cars moved in parallel. Pedestrians on the street dressed quite conservatively, but their attire was not monotonous; rather, it displayed a kaleidoscope of colors.

Just when Li Yi was getting impatient from waiting, Mannila arrived to pick him up and take him to the General Headquarters of the Jordanian Armed Forces.

There were not many people participating in the negotiations. In addition to Major General Dula, there were two accompanying military personnel from Jordan. The others were Li Yi and Mannila.
