46: Chapter 46 Additional Purchase Orders

After securing the procurement funds for 50 million barrels of oil, Major General Rahim immediately called Lieutenant Colonel Haidari over.

Lieutenant Colonel Haidari was busy dealing with the aftermath of downing the F-16 Fighter Jet and drones, and while he was scrambling to handle everything, he received a call from Major General Rahim and hurried back to the Major General's office.

"I just spoke with the Commander-in-Chief of the Iran National Guard, and he agreed to provide us with up to 50 million barrels of oil to serve as procurement funds for the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile," Major General Rahim said, directly informing Lieutenant Colonel Haidari of the outcome of his discussion.

"50 million barrels of oil?" Lieutenant Colonel Haidari had not expected such a large amount of oil to be available as procurement funds.

"Yes, 50 million barrels. After deducting the over 4.4 million barrels of oil we still owe the Chaos Company, there will be nearly 45 million barrels left. I've estimated that this amounts to roughly 2 billion USD in funds."

"Are we using all 2 billion USD to purchase the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile?" Lieutenant Colonel Haidari was a bit excited; this was five times the amount of the first procurement.

"Yes, all of it will be used to purchase the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile," Major General Rahim said affirmatively. "You will negotiate with the arms dealer to place an additional order, selecting a mix of long-range, medium-range, and short-range Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile systems. We must also purchase some of the newly released Tianlei Type V Anti-Aircraft Missile."

"Will all the newly purchased Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile systems be equipped to the various units under the Glass House?"

"A portion will be delivered to the Iran National Guard for operational performance testing, and the rest will be equipped to all the units under our command."

"How many need to be provided to the Iran National Guard? Do they have any requirements regarding the quantity?" Lieutenant Colonel Haidari asked.

"The Commander-in-Chief wanted 10 sets of every model, but I found an excuse to refuse. Let's arrange it so we provide 10 sets each of the Tianlei Type I to Type III Anti-Aircraft Missile, and one set each of the Tianlei Type IV to Type V Anti-Aircraft Missile. If the Commander-in-Chief is not satisfied, we will see how things go then."

Major General Rahim considered that the Tianlei Type IV to Type V Anti-Aircraft Missile were quite expensive, so it was better to simply provide one set purely for testing purposes. If they provided any more, the Glass House wouldn't have many left for themselves.

"Understood. I will contact the arms dealer as soon as possible to arrange the next round of procurement negotiations," Lieutenant Colonel Haidari quickly stated his plan.

"It must be fast. Israel has lost three fighter jets, so retaliation is certain. We just don't know when it will happen, so we need to be prepared as soon as possible," Major General Rahim emphasized the urgency of the matter.

"Yes. I will contact the arms dealer immediately."

After Lieutenant Colonel Haidari left, he quickly delegated his current tasks and offloaded the aftermath matters. Once everything was arranged, Lieutenant Colonel Haidari contacted Li Yi.

Li Yi was resting on a large bed in a five-star hotel. Upon seeing the call from Lieutenant Colonel Haidari, he asked immediately, "Lieutenant Colonel Haidari, are you planning to pay the final installment for the third batch of the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile?"

"We do intend to pay the final installment. Also, we are planning to purchase a new batch of the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile. I wonder when you might be available so we can discuss the details?" Lieutenant Colonel Haidari stated his purpose directly.

"Purchasing a new batch of the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile?" Li Yi confirmed.

"Yes. We want to purchase a new batch of anti-aircraft missiles immediately, and the procurement amount will be quite large."

"Roughly how much is the procurement amount?" Li Yi wanted to find out the exact procurement amount.

"It is much larger than the previous procurement amount," Lieutenant Colonel Haidari did not disclose the specific amount.

An amount even larger than the previous 452.5 million USD; it seems it will be at least 1 billion USD, Li Yi secretly guessed.

"That works. Shall we negotiate in Beirut again?"

"Let's negotiate at the same old place. About when will you arrive?" Lieutenant Colonel Haidari confirmed the negotiation time.

"How about 10:00 AM tomorrow morning?" Li Yi checked the time; it was already evening, and it was just afternoon in Damascus. Lieutenant Colonel Haidari could not make it to Beirut now, so it had to be postponed until tomorrow morning.

"No problem. I will head to Beirut now." It would take Lieutenant Colonel Haidari some time to get from Damascus to Beirut; if he set off now, he could rest for a night in Beirut.

After hanging up the phone, Li Yi considered whether he should pitch the newly unlocked Eagle series fighter jets, War Tiger series bombers, and several types of destroyers, frigates, and submarines from the Multiverse Arms Trading System to Lieutenant Colonel Haidari.

But after thinking about it, he felt the Glass House did not need naval vessels, and he wouldn't push fighter jets for the time being. It would be better to first fleece the Glass House with the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile before pushing other arms products.

Li Yi rested peacefully in the five-star hotel, while Lieutenant Colonel Haidari took his assistant, Captain Jalal, and drove to Beirut.

For this negotiation, neither Li Yi nor Lieutenant Colonel Haidari invited Mannila.

Li Yi did not want to pay the intermediary fee to Mannila. Lieutenant Colonel Haidari felt it was unnecessary. They had already connected with the arms dealer; having an arms broker involved only made things more complicated. At worst, he could just pay Mannila a little money afterwards to shut him up.

Because Colonel Benny had caused Israel to lose an F-16 Fighter Jet and two drones on three separate occasions, he was quickly taken away by military police sent by the high-ranking Israeli military officials. They would conduct a comprehensive investigation into him to see if he had been negligent in his duties or had committed any malfeasance during the entire fighter jet command process.

Major Nokin was affected, but he was not taken away for the time being. He temporarily took over Colonel Benny's position, serving as the person in charge of commanding the Palmachim Airbase.

This was an opportunity to redeem himself through meritorious service; if subsequent investigations found that Major Nokin had any issues, his temporary position would be immediately revoked, and Major Nokin would be held accountable.

At the same time, the high-ranking Israeli military officials conducted a comprehensive investigation into the Palmachim Airbase.
