213: Chapter 213 Long-Range Raid on the Garth Region

Since he had already been sanctioned by the USA, it seemed he needed to make the USA even more frustrated. Li Yi felt he hadn't done enough, which was why the USA thought utilizing sanctions was such a convenient tool.

After some thought, Li Yi realized that his arms sales were currently concentrated only on countries in the Persian Gulf, and at most, Russia, Serbia, Pakistan, and Libya. He had barely set foot in Europe, Africa, or Latin America, and in particular, he had made zero sales on the continent where the USA was located.

It seemed he needed to sell weapons and equipment in the USA's backyardβ€”Latin Americaβ€”to let the USA know that its reckless use of sanctions had very dangerous consequences. Only then could he force the USA to realize that not everything could be solved through sanctions.

However, there was still one problem: Li Yi had not yet established connections with the military of any Latin American countries, and whether he could find big buyers was a question. He still needed to expand his influence in Latin America and strive to increase his arms sales there as soon as possible.

Appearing publicly at various arms fairs was impossible; after all, the source of the weapons he sold was hard to explain, and he was unwilling to expose himself to the world. Li Yi felt it would be best to find arms brokers to establish connections with Latin American countries first.

Although hiring arms brokers as intermediaries would cost a large amount in fees, it could save him a lot of trouble, allowing him to continue operating beneath the surface and preventing the US Intelligence and Investigation Bureau from finding his tracks.

Li Yi decided that after the flames of war between the Persian Gulf countries and Israel were ignited, he would start looking for new arms brokers to quickly launch arms sales to countries in Latin America and Europe, expanding the supply of weapons and equipment in these regions.

After Israel suffered certain blows along the borders of the Golan Heights, Lebanon, and elsewhere, the Israeli military, in order to retaliate, deployed troops directly into Palestine to search for and arrest Palestinian resistance members in various refugee camps.

For entertainment, some Israeli soldiers would occasionally bomb Palestinian residential areas, hospitals, and schools, not even sparing religious sites, which immediately caused Palestinian resistance activities to intensify even further.

After all, Palestine suffered civilian and child casualties every day from Israeli airstrikes, and with hospitals being bombed, they couldn't receive treatment. As this situation persisted, the number of Palestinian resistance members increased sharply, naturally leading them to take various acts of resistance.

Especially in the Gaza Region, due to Israel's blockade, the external aid they could receive was already limited. Coupled with the fact that Israel had now started cutting off water and electricity, the anger toward Israel grew day by day.

Just as the Anti-Israel Coalition was still in the midst of intensive reorganization and had not yet completed its final deployment, the Palestinian resistance members in the Gaza Region launched a comprehensive attack on Israel first, using long-accumulated makeshift rockets to carry out long-range strikes against various Israeli military strongholds and illegal settlements.

Because the power of the makeshift rockets was insufficient, they could only destroy Israeli military strongholds by launching more of them. Therefore, the number of rockets launched at the Israeli military this time exceeded 5,000, and simultaneously, the resistance members coordinated a ground assault.

Although Israel had built an isolation wall nearly ten meters high in the Gaza Region, turning the Gaza Region into the world's largest concentration camp, or rather, an open-air prison, Palestinian resistance members still managed to blow up sections of the wall at specific points or bypass it using paragliders to participate in the ground assault against Israel.

The surprise attack in the Gaza Region caught Israel off guard. Previously, after Israel bombed the Gaza Region, the resistance members had launched rockets in retaliation, but the numbers were always very small. However, this time, with 5,000 rockets descending all at once, Israel's anti-rocket defense system was rendered completely ineffective.

While the rocket attack left the Israeli military in disarray, the Palestinian resistance members immediately launched a ground offensive. After a battle, they successfully destroyed over a dozen small-scale military strongholds established by Israel and razed two newly built Israeli settlements.

Although the Israeli soldiers at these military strongholds put up resistance, they were ill-prepared. In the past, these soldiers had mostly only carried out security tasks that involved slaughtering civilians, so now, facing an offensive from the resistance members, they were in a panic.

Some wanted to run, some wanted to grab their weapons to fight back, and some were so terrified they even forgot where they had put their weapons. All sorts of situations emerged at these military strongholds, and they were unable to organize any effective resistance at all.

After a bout of offensives by the Palestinian resistance members, although they suffered relatively heavy casualties, they had completely occupied over a dozen Israeli military strongholds and captured quite a lot of weapons and ammunition.

However, these were basically all light weapons; after all, these Israeli soldiers were only executing security operations, and they only needed to face civilians attacking with stones, so light weapons were sufficient to deal with that.

The Palestinian resistance members had originally intended to expand their gains, but as the Israeli military gradually reacted, they immediately dispatched troops with stronger combat capabilities to the border of the Gaza Region, and soon, a stalemate formed between the two sides.

Leveraging their superior weapons and equipment, Israel quickly suppressed the offensive of the Palestinian resistance members, then launched a counterattack, directly crushing the resistance's offensive and wounding or killing a large number of Palestinian resistance members during the pursuit.

After a day and a night of fighting, the losses of the Palestinian resistance members grew increasingly heavy. Only a small portion managed to escape back to the Gaza Region; all the previously occupied Israeli military strongholds were lost, and their weapons and ammunition were basically depleted.

Israel regained control of the situation and, after deploying more troops, re-stabilized the isolation blockade line of the Gaza Region. They immediately used reinforced concrete to repair the sections of the wall that had been breached, increasing the thickness of the isolation wall to prevent these places from being breached again.

The Israeli military was furious that the Palestinian resistance members had actually dared to attack their military strongholds. After re-establishing the blockade line, they immediately launched retaliation and dispatched fighter jets to bomb the Gaza Region.

The bombing targets included not only military-natured buildings but also government-natured buildings, and they even bombed civilian buildings. The goal was to utilize their military superiority in the Gaza Region to destroy the resistance will of the Palestinian resistance members.

The Palestinian resistance members had almost no anti-aircraft weapons and were helpless against Israel's airstrikes. They could only watch helplessly as Israel's bombing destroyed one building after another, causing more and more civilian casualties.

As for launching rockets to retaliate, the resistance members no longer had any thoughts of doing so. After all, they had already exhausted their stock of makeshift rockets.
