81: Chapter 81 is a truly enormous order.

The Glass House.

Major General Rahim was in his office, handling various military affairs for the Glass House.

Due to the use of the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile, the number of air raids on the Glass House by the USA and Israel had significantly decreased; Israel no longer dared to easily set foot in the Glass House's military base areas within Syria.

Furthermore, the shoot-down of several USA warplanes at the Raqqa Military Base had made Israel even more hesitant, causing them to keep their distance from the Glass House's various outposts and saving Major General Rahim a great deal of trouble.

Just then, a phone call came into Major General Rahim's office. Seeing it was from Commander-in-Chief Qasim, he quickly picked it up.

"Commander-in-Chief Qasim, do you have orders for the Glass House?" Major General Rahim asked, assuming the Commander-in-Chief had new instructions for them.

"Not this time. I wanted to ask, are the anti-aircraft missiles that shot down the USA warplanes at the Raqqa Military Base the same Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles you recently requested oil funds to purchase?"

Commander-in-Chief Qasim had read the report submitted by the Glass House, but he still found it hard to believe that the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile possessed such superior combat performance.

Since the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles that the Glass House was supposed to supply to the Persian Lion State National Guard hadn't been delivered yet, Commander-in-Chief Qasim had no way of seeing a test report for them.

"Yes. It was the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile that shot down the USA's helicopters and F-16 Fighter Jets," Major General Rahim confirmed.

"Then when can the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles the Glass House is providing us be delivered?" Commander-in-Chief Qasim still wanted to see the test results.

"It should be next month," Major General Rahim could only say. Although the Glass House had received the first batch of Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles, those destined for the Persian Lion State National Guard were part of the second batch.

"Next month? That's too late. Never mind, the Persian Lion State National Guard intends to purchase a batch of Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles directly."

Commander-in-Chief Qasim thought for a moment and decided to proceed with a direct purchase. After all, given the combat performance at the Raqqa Military Base, he didn't believe Major General Rahim would dare to deceive him.

"Really? Could the Glass House add on some more Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles as well?" Major General Rahim hoped to hitch a ride on this deal to acquire more missiles and further perfect the Glass House's overall air defense capabilities.

"Certainly. I can grant the Glass House another 50 million barrels of oil funding to purchase the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile. This is provided you introduce the arms dealer to the Persian Lion State National Guard and the arms dealer agrees to sell them to us."

Commander-in-Chief Qasim decided to give Major General Rahim a little incentive in exchange for persuading the arms dealer to sell the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile.

In any case, Iran was not short on oil; 50 million barrels was merely a dozen or so days' worth of production.

"No problem. I will personally persuade the arms dealer to sell the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile to Iran."

Hearing that there were 50 million more barrels of oil to use, Major General Rahim was so happy he wanted to jump. With this much oil funding, he could truly ensure that Israeli warplanes wouldn't dare set foot near any Glass House outpost by even a single step.

As for introducing the arms dealer to the Persian Lion State National Guard, that was no trouble at all.

Arms dealers made their living by selling weapons; would they really turn down an order from the Persian Lion State National Guard? It was impossible. At most, the delivery time might be extended.

"The arms dealer should allow the Persian Lion State National Guard to pay for the purchase with oil, right?" Commander-in-Chief Qasim verified.

"Yes. We've traded with the arms dealer twice, and both times we paid with oil."

"That's good. Contact the arms dealer as soon as possible and let me know when you have news." Having conveyed his message, Commander-in-Chief Qasim hung up.

Major General Rahim was still buzzing with excitement and naturally took the Commander-in-Chief's request extremely seriously.

After all, that was 50 million barrels of oil for the Glass House. The previous 50 million barrels had bought a significant number of Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles, and this time he intended to increase the purchase to everything he hadn't been able to get last time.

Major General Rahim wanted to call Lieutenant Colonel Haidari to his office, but he quickly remembered that the Lieutenant Colonel wasn't at the Glass House headquarters but had gone to Beirut.

After getting in touch with Lieutenant Colonel Haidari, he asked, "Colonel, are you still in Beirut?"

"Yes, I haven't left yet. I'm just getting ready to return."

Lieutenant Colonel Haidari hadn't left since introducing Major General Zaha to purchase the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missiles. He had remotely directed the troops in Haibai and Shahba to receive the first batch of missiles and was just about to head back to the Glass House headquarters.

"Is the arms dealer also in Beirut?" Major General Rahim asked.

"Yes. He should still be here." Lieutenant Colonel Haidari wasn't certain, but since not much time had passed, he didn't think the dealer would have left yet.

"Excellent. Contact the arms dealer immediately; there's a massive order for him."

"A massive order? From the Glass House?" Lieutenant Colonel Haidari was a bit surprised.

"Yes and no. The Glass House will add 50 million barrels of oil to our procurement funds, but the bulk of it will be from the Persian Lion State National Guard. The exact amount is uncertain, but I suspect it will be at least 100 million barrels worth of oil funding."

Major General Rahim didn't yet know how much oil Commander-in-Chief Qasim planned to use for the purchase, but it surely wouldn't be less than what the Glass House was spending.

"150 million barrels of oil? That truly is a massive order," Lieutenant Colonel Haidari exclaimed. Even with the arms dealer's requirement of a 35% discount off international oil prices, that was nearly 7 billion US dollars.

"Yes. Contact the arms dealer right away and see when he's available. Actually, just give him a heads-up; I'll contact him personally in a bit. I need to report the time and location of the negotiations to Commander-in-Chief Qasim promptly; we can't afford to waste time."

Major General Rahim thought about it and decided it was better to confirm the situation with the arms dealer himself. Talking directly without having Lieutenant Colonel Haidari relay messages would allow for faster decision-making.

"No problem. I'll contact the arms dealer right away and let him know."

Lieutenant Colonel Haidari naturally wanted to handle the negotiations himself; if the deal went through, wouldn't that count as introducing a client to the arms dealer?

However, considering the Persian Lion State National Guard was involved, he didn't dare interfere, lest he suffer the consequences later.

"Make it quick. I'll be contacting the arms dealer in about ten minutes." Major General Rahim gave Lieutenant Colonel Haidari only ten minutes to deliver the message.

"Yes, General," Lieutenant Colonel Haidari replied quickly.
