34: Chapter 34 Unexpected Client

Palmachim Airbase.

Colonel Benny was struck again. Upon waking up, he received a report that a drone had gone missing in southern Syria.

Strict countermeasures had originally been formulated to specifically avoid potential dangers and prevent any further crashes.

Yet, unexpectedly, despite carrying out the reconnaissance mission cautiously, it still went missing in the end.

Going missing in Syria basically meant it had crashed.

Although this drone was not as advanced as the Global Hawk, its cost was still very high.

Colonel Benny suddenly felt a bit unconfident about commanding warplanes on missions.

"Could it really be that Syria has acquired advanced anti-aircraft missiles?"

He secretly speculated, even believing this was truly the case, which would explain how two drones had crashed in succession.

Lieutenant General Ham had to order his assistant, Major General Dula, to quickly contact arms dealers to see if they could procure a batch of anti-aircraft missiles to strengthen Jordan's air defense capabilities.

After receiving the order, Major General Dula immediately contacted arms dealers who had previously cooperated with Jordan, but after some communication, basically none were willing to sell anti-aircraft missiles to Jordan.

"Among the arms dealers you have access to, are there any who can immediately provide anti-aircraft missiles for sale?" Major General Dula said, getting straight to the point.

"Anti-aircraft missiles? Does Jordan want to buy anti-aircraft missiles?"

"Yes, is there any arms dealer who can sell anti-aircraft missiles?" Major General Dula was somewhat desperate.

Mannila did not expect such an unexpected windfall. The client he was pursuing himself had not yet decided to purchase the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile, yet here was a client coming directly to his door wanting to purchase anti-aircraft missiles.

"Yes, there are. Shall I rush to Amman now to discuss it with you?"

"Good. I have time all day today. Contact me directly once you arrive in Amman, and I will send someone to pick you up."

Major General Dula also did not expect that Mannila, as an arms broker, would actually have anti-aircraft missiles available for sale.

Mannila happened to be leaving anyway; his original goal was to find the high-ranking military officials of Syria, but now he turned directly towards Amman.

Soon, Mannila and Major General Dula met.

After some pleasantries, Major General Dula asked directly, "I wonder, which country are the anti-aircraft missiles you can provide from?"

Mannila did not answer directly; he handed the information on the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile to Major General Dula and said, "Take a look at the combat performance of the anti-aircraft missiles first, and we can talk more later."

Major General Dula took the documents with a puzzled expression, flipping through the introduction for each model of the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile. Looking at the combat performance of the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile, he nodded while pondering whether it could effectively defend Jordan against Israel's missile attacks.

Mannila understood Major General Dula's expression, knowing he was somewhat interested, and quickly said, "You know that a Global Hawk from the USA was shot down a while ago, right? Jordan's foreign exchange reserves were not very large; it was not like other surrounding countries that had abundant oil and natural gas resources underground. They could only rely on labor exports and tourism to make money; there were no other industries that could earn foreign exchange.

"Are there no discounts offered for the Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile?"

"The more you purchase, the greater the discount."

Major General Dula was speechless; it was precisely because they had no money that they were asking for discounts, but to purchase more anti-aircraft missiles required a large amount of funds, and Jordan simply could not pay that much.

Mannila understood Jordan's national situation, but he was just an arms broker and could not lower the price on his own for Li Yi.
