225: Chapter 225 There is no other way but bankruptcy

The number of USA satellites was still too high. Li Yi once again utilized the "Tianqiong" Anti-Satellite System to analyze the USA satellites deployed over Israel, locking onto all those that were not purely civilian in nature, and quickly generated a new list of targets for destruction.

Li Yi directly commanded various interceptor missiles to lock onto their respective targets. This time, 12 long-range, 104 medium-range, and 32 short-range interceptor missiles would be deployed to destroy all the remaining USA satellites capable of emitting interference signals.

After another rapid round of anti-satellite missile launches, Li Yi did not remain in the Tih Desert. He directly retracted the "Tianqiong" Anti-Missile System and teleported back to Pengcheng via the Multiverse Arms Trading System.

A total of 1,276 interceptor missiles of various ranges were launched this time, with only a small number failing to directly hit their targets. At least 1,250 satellites belonging to the USA and Israel were destroyed. Of course, the vast majority of these belonged to the USA, as Israel had a relatively smaller number of satellites.

The USA satellites destroyed this time included not only various military reconnaissance satellites and ocean surveillance satellites but also various communication satellites, navigation satellites, and even anti-satellite satellites, missile satellites, and interceptor satellites.

Among them, various USA military and government satellites flying over Israel were basically paralyzed, and a large number of commercial satellites were also shot downβ€”although these commercial satellites were small, only those that were purely civilian in nature escaped unscathed.

This instantly caused the various USA surveillance, navigation, communication, and early warning satellites used for intelligence, ground information gathering, and reconnaissance to completely lose their functionality. Many military facilities and civilian devices that relied on these satellite services suddenly lost their signals, causing an uproar among the numerous users.

The United States Department of Defense received the news the moment the satellites came under attack, but before they could react, they discovered that numerous satellites were losing contact one by one. They were unable to find the reason or locate where the attacks were being launched from.

Only after trying every possible method to mobilize various commercial satellites, and even calling upon the satellites of various European nations, were they able to analyze the source of the attack, which turned out to be a desert in the Sinai Peninsula.

Upon learning this news, the United States Department of Defense was somewhat bewildered. After all, Egypt did not have any anti-satellite weapons, and launching so many anti-satellite missiles at once was truly unimaginable.

However, the United States Department of Defense did not consider much further and directly ordered the USS Gerald R. Ford and the USS David aircraft carriers stationed in the Mediterranean to immediately launch missiles and conduct a saturation attack on that desert in the Sinai Peninsula.

After some communication and preparations for the launch, more than an hour had already passed. As dozens of missiles left their launchers and headed straight toward Egypt, the US Intelligence and Investigation Bureau also dispatched agents stationed in Egypt to go to that desert to investigate the situation.

Egypt was the most bewildered. At first, they monitored a large number of missiles flying out of Egyptian territory, and then many missiles attacked Egypt.

This left Major General Al-Sisi and other generals in the Sinai Peninsula wondering which sun god they had provoked to have Egypt become the site of a large-scale missile exchange.

Although Egypt was equipped with quite a few anti-aircraft missiles, and the newly purchased Tianlei Series Anti-Aircraft Missile had begun to be deployed to the military, they had no intention of intercepting these incoming missiles.

After all, these missiles were coming from the USA aircraft carriers, and the target of the attack was not an Egyptian city or military base, but a desolate, uninhabited desert.

This made Egypt feel that the USA was truly wealthy to be able to launch so many missiles just to set off fireworks.

As for how so many missiles could have been launched from that desert, Egypt was even more confused. There had been no large-scale convoys heading to that desert during this period, so how could there be missile launch vehicles?

The missiles launched by the USA quickly exploded in the Tih Desert, kicking up waves of sand and leaving the entire area in a mess.

By the time the USA agents arrived, only crater after crater remained. However, what surprised these agents was that apart from the wreckage of the USA missiles, there was nothing else.

The Intelligence Investigation Bureau quickly passed the intelligence to the United States Department of Defense, and the Department of Defense confirmed repeatedly that there was absolutely no trace of the enemy. This made the United States Department of Defense feel distressed; they had lost so many satellites, which had seriously affected the operation of the USA military, yet they still did not know who the attacking enemy was.

The United States Department of Defense could only order the Central Theater Command to dispatch troops to investigate the cause and personally find out which country had launched the attack. At the same time, they pressured Egypt to hand over information about the enemy hiding in the Tih Desert, otherwise they would launch retaliatory actions against Egypt.

Egypt did not even know that anyone was hiding in the Tih Desert, so naturally, they could not provide any information and could only state that it had nothing to do with them. Neither side believed what the other was saying, and they immediately fell into a dispute.

With a large number of USA satellites destroyed, it was not only the USA military that was affected, but also the people who used these satellites. The GPS navigation signals that had previously been usable suddenly disappeared, and satellite phones that had been working could no longer connect. Various abnormal situations forced a large group of people to switch to other similar products.

At the same time, those USA companies that provided various satellite services went bankrupt one after another. After all, their product foundation was gone; there was no other way but bankruptcy. Unless they could immediately launch a large number of satellites to continue servicesβ€”but how could that be possible?

The most urgent priority for the United States Department of Defense now was to utilize existing satellites to re-establish a network to meet military needs. As for civilian satellites, they could only be put aside; they could only consider civilian matters when the military's problems were solved.

While the USA was in a panic, European nations were also gripped by alarm. If so many USA satellites had been attacked, would their own satellites be attacked too?

No one could determine this, so they could only strengthen the monitoring of satellites, promptly detect the launch of anti-satellite missiles, and try to take evasive actions in advance.

Of course, it was also necessary to be well-prepared for satellite launches; even if they were destroyed, new satellites had to be launched immediately to avoid affecting the use of satellite services by European nations.

The Anti-Judea Coalition Joint Command was also completely bewildered by this. They had not even detected such a massive anomaly occurring at such close range, where thousands of missiles were launched at once.

If thousands of missiles were to attack the Anti-Judea Coalition, they did not know how many they would be able to intercept. Wouldn't the losses be immense?
