118: The Great Love Alliance decided to kill Yan Xiao and seize the treasure

"Phew."

Wang Huohuo looked at the comments, letting out a relaxed sigh: "So he's just a good-for-nothing who relies on his Family. I actually thought a Genius was about to rise. Heh, I scared myself for nothing."

Although the strongest member of the Yan Family was only at the Qi Refining Ninth Level, they were, after all, a long-standing local power in Wu Ta City. It wasn't impossible for them to have some trump cards against Foundation Establishment cultivators; in fact, it was probably a certainty.

The only thing that surprised Wang Huohuo was that this good-for-nothing's Clan Chief father was truly willing to part with such a trump card, allowing it to leave the Family.

"But this is good too. Since this good-for-nothing has treasures on him and a Foundation Establishment-level Demonic Beast mount, other players will definitely make a move on him. I don't need to do much."

"I just need to cultivate leisurely in the Lan Yun Guard. Maybe by the time I reach Foundation Establishment, I'll hear the news of Yan Xiao's death."

Wang Huohuo chuckled, completely disregarding Yan Xiao. After casually browsing a few related videos, she returned to the game.

At the same time.

The higher-ups of the Great Love Alliance also saw Yan Xiao's video.

Old Potato immediately realized the immense profit in this matter and quickly called Midnight Gao Sou and others for an online meeting.

Once everyone was present, he was the first to speak:

"You all know about Yan Xiao, right? He's currently in the Green Emerald Mountains. He has some good treasures on him, and also a Foundation Establishment-level Demonic Beast mount. Killing him will drop a lot of good stuff, Brothers, should we do it?"

This statement caused a stir of surprise.

Someone asked: "Wait, Old Potato, isn't our Great Love Alliance supposed to spread love and peace? What does killing Yan Xiao mean?"

Midnight Gao Sou also nodded seriously: "Exactly. Our goal in forming the Alliance is to unite players, eliminate disputes, and spread great love in the Xuanhuan World. How can we engage in murder and treasure grabbing?"

Old Potato had flexible moral principles: "Yes, our Alliance spreads great love, but this great love is only for players to enjoy. What does it have to do with native characters? We certainly won't kill players for their treasures, but what's wrong with killing a native NPC? Isn't that just part of the game? Isn't that just killing monsters for drops?"

At this, everyone began to feel tempted.

Indeed, although this Yan Xiao had extremely advanced AI control, appearing just like a living Immortal Master, and even having his own social relationships, his own story, his own goals, and even parents and Brothers who cared deeply for him.

However, he was merely a small native NPC. How could he be compared to noble players?

Killing him was no different from killing monsters for equipment in other games.

"But..."

Midnight Gao Sou was still somewhat hesitant. After so many days of playing, he increasingly felt that the AI in the Xuanhuan World was much more powerful than in other games; these NPCs were truly like Immortal Masters.

Not to mention, he also felt some sympathy for Yan Xiao, this good-for-nothing who had his engagement broken off. Killing him truly went against his conscience.

However, Old Potato began to sweeten the deal:

"First, listen to me. I'll explain why we must kill this Yan Xiao."

"First, we previously acquired quite a few Cultivation Technique Secret Manuals through the Golden Core Tomb event. Although they were all copied versions, they still enriched the Alliance's Scripture Pavilion. Our Alliance's appeal to new players has significantly increased, and the combat power of our members has undergone a qualitative change."

"But the problem is, just having these Secret Manuals isn't enough. We lack resources!"

"During the Golden Core Tomb event, because we didn't join the Three Great Sects, nor did we side with that monk, all the players who came out were killed. We didn't bring back a single hair!"

At this point, everyone felt some anger. It was anger towards Duan Kong Cave, Heshui Prefecture, and Qingling Sect. Their Great Love Alliance players had worked so hard, only for all the treasures they brought out to be snatched by others. It was truly hateful.

"Now that Green Emerald Heaven has completely fallen, those Three Great Sects, for some unknown reason, allowed us to enter the mountains to search for treasures and didn't try to snatch them again, allowing us to accumulate some resources. The quantity is decent, but the problem is... quality!"

Old Potato tapped the virtual whiteboard: "Most of what we got were Ninth-grade and Eighth-grade Spiritual Artifacts. They're decent for Qi Refining cultivators, but once it comes to the Foundation Establishment level, they're too weak."

"And this Yan Xiao very likely possesses a Magical Artifact. Even if it's not a Magical Artifact, it must be a Seventh-grade or even higher-grade treasure."

"Even if he doesn't have any of those, he still has a tamed Foundation Establishment-level Demonic Beast. If we can get our hands on it, our Alliance's combat power will greatly increase!"

Everyone looked at each other, nodding in affirmation.

Indeed, Yan Xiao was like a walking treasure trove. He had precious treasures on him, and a powerful Demonic Beast beside him. Most importantly, there was no need to spend extra intelligence resources to locate him; there were already Alliance players curiously tracking him.

As long as they gathered some Foundation Establishment cultivators and used multiple waves to deplete his trump cards, killing him would be as easy as flipping a hand. It was simply a big gift package delivered to their doorstep.

"Even more crucially, Yan Xiao has a grudge with Murong Shusu. Murong Shusu is backed by the Lan Yun Guard, and from what I know, the current master of the Lan Yun Guard, the Twelfth Princess, is extremely protective of her own. If we kill Yan Xiao, we might even be able to improve our relationship with her."

Old Potato had once been a male consort to an empress and had spent a night with the Twelfth Princess. Once he spoke these words, no one could refute him.

Thus, killing Yan Xiao would not only guarantee a mount but also potentially drop Foundation Establishment-level treasures. Most importantly, it could also trigger a questline with the Twelfth Princess.

If they didn't kill him, they wouldn't deserve to be called gamers.

"But..."

Midnight Gao Sou was still hesitant: "He was, after all, scorned and humiliated. He's already tragic enough..."

Old Potato waved his hand: "It's precisely because he's so tragic that we can kill him. That way, we won't be retaliated against by the forces behind him, understand?"

Everyone nodded. In the Xuanhuan World, dangers lurked at every step. Before killing someone for their treasures, it was best to first ascertain whether the other party had any backing. Someone like Yan Xiao, who was despised by his Family and had offended major powers, was the perfect target for murder and treasure grabbing.

Midnight Gao Sou remained hesitant, but the others no longer had time to listen to his opinion.

Old Potato and the others arranged manpower, gathered Foundation Establishment cultivators, and prepared for an encirclement battle in the Green Emerald Mountains.

At this time, many players in the mountains reported back, saying:

"We were ambushed and killed by players! It seems like Seiya's people killed us. What terrible luck."

"They seem to be collecting some Immortal Qi. I don't know what collecting Immortal Qi has to do with killing people. It's inexplicable."

"Sigh, aren't professional clubs all like this? There must be Immortal Qi they need in that place, so they cleared the area."

Old Potato saw the message and quickly reminded: "Where were you killed? Don't go to that place for now. The club is probably clearing the area. We shouldn't provoke them for now."

Old Potato didn't want any complications now. He just wanted to unite their strength and quickly kill Yan Xiao to seize the Foundation Establishment-level treasures and Demonic Beast mount.
