190: No place left after falling

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

The wind howled incessantly, and the air around the Cultivator was torn apart by his high speed, even creating sonic booms.

Foundation Establishment Cultivators possess extreme mobility. If placed in the real world, each of them would be equivalent to a top-tier fighter jet.

Superb maneuverability, formidable physique, incredibly vast spiritual sense, coupled with the layered and beautiful scenery of the Xuanhuan World—everything made the experience of a Foundation Establishment Cultivator uniquely special.

Even Midnight Gao Sou, the leader of the evil Cultivators, would set aside some time each day, regardless of other matters, just to fly through the air and experience the ultimate sensation of flight.

Once this feeling was experienced, it was difficult to give it up.

Therefore, Cultivators like Old Potato, who had fallen from the Foundation Establishment Realm and had to start over, were extremely unhappy and wished to return to the Foundation Establishment Realm as quickly as possible.

Even though they knew that evil Cultivators had low combat power and might be killed again if they encountered a strong enemy, they still couldn't resist the temptation of rapid advancement and once again chose the evil cultivation method.

However, when Old Potato and others wanted to obtain resources from the Great Love Sect to quickly return to Foundation Establishment, they were met with opposition from a group of Foundation Establishment Cultivators.

"Are you kidding? We have so many Qi Refining Peak Cultivators in our Great Love Sect waiting to Breakthrough; how can we give resources to you Mortals?"

Old Potato was completely stunned, then enraged:

"Get this straight, we fell for the sake of the Great Love Sect! And we're not asking for much; we just hope you can help us return to Foundation Establishment.

"We don't even ask for an Immortal Foundation; a Mortal Foundation will do."

The posture adopted by Old Potato and the others was already quite humble, yet they were still opposed by a group of Foundation Establishment players, who absolutely refused to return the resources to them.

It was then that Old Potato and the others realized the problem.

In the Xuanhuan World, cultivation level is everything; everything is for cultivation level.

Li Changfeng once said that once he achieved Golden Core, he would not allow a second person to achieve Golden Core.

And in the Great Love Sect, after Old Potato and these old Foundation Establishment Cultivators fell, the newly ascended Foundation Establishment Cultivators were unwilling to let them climb back up.

Even when Old Potato sought out Midnight Gao Sou, he only saw Midnight Gao Sou looking troubled:

"Brother, it's not that I don't want to help you, but the Great Love Sect isn't just up to me anymore... We've taken on so many sponsorships, and others have brought in quite a few people. Our Great Love Sect's resources now need to be accounted for.

"Every share of resources for a Foundation Establishment Breakthrough is limited, and everyone is queuing. Even if we wanted to give them to you, you'd have to wait in line."

Old Potato frowned: "Queue? How long will we have to queue?"

Midnight Gao Sou also looked helpless: "We have too many people. Even if the evil cultivation method consumes fewer resources, Breaking through to Foundation Establishment is not that simple. Whether it's the amount of blood food or auxiliary treasures, they are all in short supply. The number of people currently in the queue... is over a thousand."

Old Potato understood. If they truly waited for the Great Love Sect to distribute resources, those who had fallen and restarted would probably have to wait several months to re-establish their Foundation.

After a moment of contemplation, he said, "Gao Sou, have you forgotten that although we fell and restarted, we did so with a Mortal Foundation or even an Immortal Foundation? We obtained more reincarnation points, so our new characters have an advantage over others. Shouldn't this be considered?"

Midnight Gao Sou also sighed: "That's the problem. It's already been researched. reincarnation points are indeed useful, and the various Golden Fingers that can be exchanged are very powerful. However, the Golden Fingers that can truly bring about a qualitative change require a lot of reincarnation points, at least enough for someone who fell from Golden Core and restarted to obtain them.

"In other words, the difference between a Foundation Establishment fall and a Qi Refining fall isn't that great, not enough to break the original distribution rules."

Old Potato's expression grew even uglier. He said:

"Then are emotions not to be considered? We, who sacrificed our lives for the Sect, after dying and restarting, are not getting resource support. We have to start from being a Mortal and slowly climb back up step by step, even having to find resources ourselves. Is this reasonable?

"If this continues, who would dare to risk their lives for our Great Love Sect?"

Midnight Gao Sou was silent for a long time before sighing:

"Old Potato, you're my good brother of many years, so I'll speak plainly.

"What you said is indeed true; disheartening people will make many unwilling to risk their lives.

"However, how this will ultimately turn out is uncertain, and whether there are other ways to salvage the situation is another matter.

"But if we give the resources to you, then the current Mortal Foundations and Immortal Foundations will be dissatisfied. It's a certainty that they will cause trouble, and we can't afford to offend them."

Old Potato pointed a finger at Midnight Gao Sou, staring fiercely at him, but in the end, he couldn't bring himself to utter harsh words.

He simply remained silent, turning directly to leave.

Midnight Gao Sou watched Old Potato's retreating figure and let out a long sigh.

The Great Love Sect, having grown to its current scale, had increasingly deviated from its original intention. Many matters were no longer something that a few of their founders could decide... After bidding farewell to Midnight Gao Sou, Old Potato found the other players who had fallen with him earlier.

He glanced around and asked with a frown, "Why isn't Watermelon Prince here?"

Someone replied:

"Prince said he wanted to secretly Breakthrough to Foundation Establishment and only show up after he succeeded. I heard he even re-sculpted his face."

Old Potato was silent for a moment: "He's right."

He already regretted exposing his identity. Now, not only was the Great Love Sect not providing resources, but if they, these people, wanted to seek blood food in the various cities of Great Jiang, they would be watched, and even openly attacked and competed with, precisely to prevent them from Breaking through again.

After all, Foundation Establishment Cultivators of the Great Love Sect not only enjoyed various resources within the game but also received sponsored funds outside the game. No one wanted those who had previously Breakthrough to make a comeback.

"Old Potato, what do we do now?"

"Yeah, I've heard that it's easier for us who have Breakthrough before to Breakthrough again, which is why they're not giving us resources."

"Hmph, they specifically give resources to newcomers because they're confident the Breakthrough rate isn't high, and no one will compete with them for positions."

"We risked our lives for the Great Love Sect, and this is the outcome?"

"How about we leave? Stop mixing with the Great Love Sect?"

"If not the Great Love Sect, where can we go? We evil Cultivators are only strong when we stick together; separated, we're all just little bugs."

Everyone spoke one after another.

The former Foundation Establishment high-level Cultivators were now so humble after restarting.

Old Potato felt very bitter inside. He clenched his fists and murmured, "Golden Core, I must Breakthrough to Golden Core. Just Foundation Establishment cultivation is not enough."

After saying that, he thought for a moment and continued, "The path of evil cultivation will probably be very difficult to reach Golden Core. I suggest we switch cultivation methods; don't hang ourselves on this evil cultivation path. After switching cultivation methods..."

Old Potato paused again, going over the map in his mind:

"We'll go to the Western Great Desert. That's where Yan Xiao went. I bet there are good things there; maybe it can help us make a comeback."
