183: What's the real meaning? It's a scam, right?

That colossal figure seemed to come from a distant past, a projection of an ancient Cultivator.

But when it appeared, it was truly as if a powerful being had arrived in person; that terrifying pressure silenced everyone.

Even a powerhouse like Star Fiend did not dare to make any move at this moment, only watching quietly, filled with awe.

For these powerhouses of the Kongming Lineage, this figure was already so terrifying; for the numerous players who were at Foundation Establishment, Qi Refining, or even just Spirit Nurturing, or even Mortals, the shock was even greater.

Countless players who had surged into Mingshui Heaven only felt a terrifying aura engulfing the entire grotto-heaven, and sharp spear light seemed to be everywhere, locking onto everyone, as if they would be instantly slain in the next moment.

Just as their hair stood on end and their bodies stiffened in place...

The spear light finally burst forth with its most dazzling brilliance, roaring out and instantly piercing through the entire Mingshui Heaven.

Some players finally couldn't bear it and screamed out.

But then they realized that although this spear light was indeed formidable, its pressure suppressed heaven and earth, yet it caused no harm; not a single person died under the spear light.

It was brilliant, yet illusory; it turned out to be merely an ancient projection, a manifestation of True Intent.

The players who had screamed in fright awkwardly wiped the sweat from their foreheads and laughed sheepishly, only to find that none of the surrounding players paid him any attention.

Everyone was captivated by the spear light.

This spear light formed a winding path in the air, identical to that great river.

Everyone understood now: the great river in Mingshui Heaven was carved out by an ancient Spear Cultivator, and carving such a massive, spirit-rich river took only one move.

"Awesome!"

"Is this Nascent Soul-level Spear Intent? It's really f***ing awesome!"

"Don't you have any culture? Can you only say 'awesome'?"

"What else can I say?"

"Look at this Spear Intent, vast as rivers and seas, sharp as a golden blade, spanning eons, still awe-inspiring! How magnificent!"

"I have to say, even though it's an illusion manifested by True Intent and not actual spear light, just that might made me feel like I almost died."

The players discussed animatedly, all feeling lingering fear, as if they had truly faced a terrifying Nascent Soul-level Spear Cultivator just now.

Midnight Gao Sou was also repeatedly shocked; at this moment, he finally understood why some powerful beings could still protect their Sects and Families for thousands or even tens of thousands of years after their deaths.

Because even though the powerful beings died, the methods they left behind were endless; even just a wisp of True Intent could at any time enlighten a successor, or transform into a means of combat, shaking heaven and earth.

Therefore, Heshui Prefecture, Duan Kong Cave, Qingling Sect, and others always sent their subordinates in first to test when exploring grotto-heavens, or even let Loose Cultivators go in to die, just to confirm whether the blessings of their predecessors had been exhausted.

"This is the Xuanhuan World, where power belongs to oneself, but after death, this power can continue to bless future generations... Wait, why do I not comprehend anything?"

After a moment of emotion, Midnight Gao Sou suddenly felt something was off.

That scene just now was definitely Ye Chun releasing True Intent, which stirred Cangjing Peak and caused the entire Mingshui Heaven to resonate, ultimately recreating a scene from who knows how long ago.

Logically, when the scene of that Spear Cultivator wielding his spear was replayed, it should also be a time for comprehending True Intent, and one should feel something, or even have divine martial arts manuals appear in their mind.

However... Midnight Gao Sou felt nothing.

Besides uttering, "Awesome, powerful, worthy of being Nascent Soul Spear Intent," he felt nothing else.

"What's going on?"

Midnight Gao Sou stood there, trying to comprehend for a long time, then chose to ask Star Fiend.

Star Fiend spoke leisurely: "Didn't I say before? Comprehension is something others can't help with; it's entirely up to an individual's Comprehension Ability."

"If your Comprehension Ability is sufficient, then you can comprehend; if your Comprehension Ability is not enough, then you will get nothing."

"Let alone this last wisp of True Intent; even if a Nascent Soul-level powerhouse released True Intent right before your eyes, taught you hand-in-hand, and directly performed an empowerment on you, if you can't comprehend it, you just can't."

Midnight Gao Sou pondered for a long time, finally managing to say, "Is there no progress bar? I mean, if I can't comprehend the whole thing, can't I at least comprehend some superficial aspects?"

Star Fiend laughed: "What do you think are the superficial aspects of True Intent left by a Nascent Soul? Can any Tom, Dick, or Harry comprehend them? Even if someone can comprehend just a tiny bit of the superficial aspects, that person has Comprehension Ability, and can be hailed as a Prodigy, do you understand?"

Midnight Gao Sou pondered for a long time again, but this time he couldn't come up with anything to say.

He looked around.

He and many players from the Great Love Sect were gathered on a mountain peak; the scenery was nice, but everyone's expressions were grim.

Because not a single person in the entire Great Love Sect had comprehended anything... "Did any of you comprehend anything?"

"What the heck? I didn't feel anything at all."

"What exactly is this comprehension thing? I can't feel it at all?"

"It feels like a lottery; we didn't win, so let's just disperse."

It wasn't just the Great Love Sect.

Other surging players also noticed the anomaly.

Players who felt nothing quickly realized that they had missed the comprehension opportunity and wasted this chance.

Some players even suspected that this 'True Intent comprehension' was a false rumor released?

"With just that one spear light flashing by, how could anything appear?"

"Exactly, when a grotto-heaven falls, treasures drop, but this thing is just a projection, there's nothing at all."

"Let's disperse, let's disperse. I think the Xuanhuan World doesn't even have a True Intent comprehension mechanism; it's purely those people tricking us newbies."

The players discussed animatedly, and many began to doubt the authenticity of True Intent comprehension.

This was also normal.

In the Xuanhuan World, in a remote mountain, Mortals there might never have encountered Cultivators in their lives, and when faced with tales of gods and ghosts, they would only consider them fictional.

And even if one became a Cultivator, many things, unless experienced personally, are absolutely incomprehensible, or even considered false.

It's like the saying:

If you do not cultivate, you see me as a frog in a well observing the moon in the sky; if you cultivate, you see me as a mayfly observing the blue sky.

The less one understands, the less awe one has for the strong.

If native Mortals and low-level Cultivators were like this, then players, who knew even less about Xuanhuan, were even more so.

Therefore, after not comprehending anything, everyone felt that True Intent, Dao Heart, and comprehension were all...

Pure nonsense; these things simply didn't exist.

But just as they were thinking this...

There were also players who stayed rooted to the spot, staring intently at the flickering spear light, watching it slowly fade away.

The spear light had already vanished.

Yet, in their eyes, there was still the spear light, and that Spear Cultivator.

The most miraculous thing was that the Spear Cultivator had clearly only performed one move.

But what they saw was an entire set of spear techniques.

No, some people saw spear techniques.

And what some people saw was a Spear Cultivator meditating and cultivating.
