69: Players gathered at Brokenwood Cliff

The experience of Transmigration with a physical body is completely different from Transmigration with only a soul.

It was as if his body had truly been projected into a Xuanhuan World through a VR pod.

All around was a vast, murky void, with no light to be seen, nor any flow of Spiritual Qi.

The Mage knew this was called the 'Great Void.' Some Cultivators of profound Realms could travel through the Great Void, as if shrinking the ground to an inch.

In an instant, he fell from the Great Void, landing on a mountain path.

The chirping of insects around him paused, birds and beasts scattered, and the faint sound of a mountain stream could be heard.

There was no memory reception, just like a true Transmigration.

"Alright, so this is Transmigration with a physical body?"

The Mage blinked, stood up, and surveyed his attire.

Although it was Transmigration with a physical body, his clothes had been thoughtfully changed. He was now wearing a grey cloth outfit with coarse cloth shoes, not like someone from a wealthy family, but rather an ordinary commoner.

The Mage was very satisfied with this attire; it made it easy to conceal his identity and avoid being questioned or pursued.

He checked his status panel; the 'Spiritual Root' column still read 'Unknown.'

No big deal. He had three Jade Slips, each containing one of three Eighth-Grade Legacies. One of the Cultivation Techniques was called "Mountain Forest Breathing Method." From the name, it was clearly a lower-tier Cultivation Technique, but for a Mortal, it was considered an Immortal technique.

The Mage found a secluded mountain cave, sat cross-legged, and continuously breathed, circulating the preliminary section of the Mountain Forest Breathing Method, which specifically had methods for Mortals to Cultivate Qi.

Without a time acceleration function, it would take a considerable amount of time to reach Qi Refining First Level, but it wasn't difficult to Cultivate a wisp of faint Spiritual Qi to detect his own Spiritual Root.

After a few hours, the Mage detected his Spiritual Root:

[Spiritual Root: Fire Spiritual Root]

"I have a Fire Spiritual Root, but this Cultivation Technique is wood-attributed. According to forum intelligence, this configuration is somewhat beneficial for Alchemy. It's a pity the Golden Finger gave me an Eighth-Grade skill in silkworm rearing, which is useless."

The Mage sighed, thinking of the Alchemy Legacy under Broken Wood Cliff, and his brows furrowed tightly.

"The Golden Core Tomb is causing such a stir now; Broken Wood Cliff has probably already been updated with the version. How could there still be any Alchemy?"

Just as he thought of this, the Mage shook his head as if he had a split personality.

"No, now that it's become a Golden Core Tomb, there will only be more treasures inside. Perhaps there will be an even better Alchemy Legacy."

After agonizing in the cave for a long time, only one question remained in the Mage's mind: should he go?

"Go for what? I'm not even Qi Refining First Level right now. I should focus on Cultivating. I'll wait until the next update adds a time acceleration System, exchange Lifespan for cultivation, and at least go after Foundation Establishment."

The Mage shook his head, then looked out of the cave, pondering, "Surely there isn't really an idiot who would go to Broken Wood Cliff before even reaching Qi Refining?"

...Efeng Mountain Range, outside Broken Wood Cliff.

"Family, I, a Mortal, am at Broken Wood Cliff today!"

Xiao Daidai laughed into the camera.

As a Transmigrator with a physical body, Xiao Daidai had created a face that could topple nations, and she should have been extraordinarily ethereal. Yet, there were no less than a hundred people with similar faces around her.

Indeed, the mountain path next to Xiao Daidai was packed with people, just like the Great Wall during a holiday. It was impossible to see over anyone's shoulders or heads; one could only see the backs of other people's heads.

Xiao Daidai walked at the front, where the scenery was still somewhat open, allowing her to barely glimpse the clouds and mist by Broken Wood Cliff.

"Family, a group of us have been waiting here for a long time. Some people went down to investigate earlier, but they all returned empty-handed."

Xiao Daidai sighed at the camera: "Everyone suspects there's a maze (maze formation) under Broken Wood Cliff. Not to mention us Mortals, even Qi Refining Cultivators can't break through it. There's no other way; we can only wait for someone and see if we can snatch some Opportunity."

Although she said that, Xiao Daidai was actually unsure about this Opportunity in her heart.

There were too many people around. Not only players from Efeng Mountain Range came, but also from Qinghe Town, and even further out, players from several small towns and Sects all came.

However, their cultivation was insufficient, so they couldn't explore independently. They could only guard the area with the hope of picking up scraps.

Xiao Daidai didn't have much hope for Opportunity; she just wanted to live stream the big commotion here to gain some popularity.

"Run!!!"

Suddenly, someone in front screamed, and then the crowd surged backward, pressing in a dense mass. Someone accidentally fell and was immediately trampled, tripping a bunch of people behind them. For a moment, the entire area outside Broken Wood Cliff was filled with wailing and shouting.

Xiao Daidai stared blankly in the direction of Broken Wood Cliff, only to see the toad leap up. Its huge red tongue swept across the ground, and instantly, hundreds of people vanished.

"How is it bigger than in single-player mode?"

Xiao Daidai's head buzzed, and a terrifying thought suddenly emerged.

If the ordinary Alchemy Legacy had turned into a Golden Core Tomb, would the Demonic Beast below also have its Realm raised?

"Run!"

Everyone was in chaos. Mortal bodies were no match for Demonic Beasts, not to mention the possibility of powerful Yao Beasts below.

At this moment, someone shouted, "Don't panic! Midnight Gao Sou is here with the Cultivators from Duan Kong Cave! We're saved—damn, that idiot is about to be killed!"

...About ten li away.

On the mountain path.

Leaves flew and dust swirled all around.

The Cultivators from Duan Kong Cave lay on the ground one after another.

Midnight Gao Sou trembled all over, staring blankly at the person in front of him.

That person wore a green Daoist robe with flying bird patterns, held a green Jade Slip in his hand, a smile played on his lips, and a gentle breeze swirled around him.

"Fellow Daoist Lu, this tomb is a must-have for my Qingling Sect. Pardon my offense."

Midnight Gao Sou swallowed, looking at the fallen people from Duan Kong Cave beside him.

Most of them were Qi Refining Disciples, lying unconscious on the ground, their fate unknown.

However, there were also two Foundation Establishment Elders, who had fallen to the ground with faces full of pain, blood flowing from their abdomens, their expressions filled with fear and resentment, for their Dantian and Qi Sea had been destroyed.

All of this happened in a flash of lightning; Midnight Gao Sou didn't even have time to react.

He immediately wanted to retreat, not daring to stay there any longer.

However, just as he started to circulate his Cultivation Technique, the person from Qingling Sect chuckled softly, and a clear breeze stirred around his body, as if he had the blessing of a wind god.

"My Immortal Foundation is called [Clear Mountain Spiritual Wind], originating from the Qi of Clear Mountain Spiritual Wind. Although it's not a top-tier offensive Immortal Foundation, its speed is first-rate. Fellow Daoist Lu, you might as well give up on escaping."

Midnight Gao Sou only felt a large hand suddenly shove his shoulder, instantly sending him tumbling forward to the ground. Only after turning his head in a disheveled state did he realize there was no large hand, only a clear breeze.

The difference between an Immortal Foundation and a Mortal Foundation was so vast that it almost made one feel they were two different Great Realms.

"Damn it, I thought this Lu Dingpeng was a top-tier character. Turns out he's just for show."

Midnight Gao Sou was on the verge of tears, but the person from Qingling Sect did not kill him, only annihilated all the other Duan Kong Cave people around him.

Finally, that person sent a gust of clear wind to Midnight Gao Sou's ear and whispered:

"They are all evil Cultivators. Today, I'll let you off."
