515: Infiltrating the Netherworld Demon Sect

It wasn't just I Want to Pilot a Gundam who was deep in thought; many Fifth-Rank Players were also pondering due to the appearance of new Fourth-Rank Cultivation Techniques.

The two Fourth-Rank Methods from the Shanlan Dao Lineage allowed many to find the path to Nascent Soul, and they immediately entered secluded Cultivation.

However, many others were still unable to find their own Dao Path and could only continue traveling and exploring.

The appearance of the Youming Soul-Seizing Art immediately exposed these players to a brand new Domain.

Questions they previously couldn't answer were suddenly resolved, and the Bottlenecks that had plagued them for days burst open. As if receiving a divine epiphany, many players became excited and couldn't wait to immediately enter secluded Cultivation.

However, they encountered the same problem as I Want to Pilot a Gundam:

The Cultivation Technique was too profound, and time was too short; they were far from having studied it thoroughly.

If they started their secluded Cultivation and Breakthrough now, it would definitely be imperfect. The strength they achieved after forming their Nascent Soul would be much weaker than the theoretical limit, and they might later be surpassed by Juniors.

But if they didn't Breakthrough now, wasting time and letting others advance first—even if only by a few years—the loss would be immense.

The Fifth-Rank Players hesitated, unable to make a choice.

But the advantage of players is that even if the Dao Lineage they cultivate offers no future path, or if they reach a certain Realm and can't advance further, they can completely restart.

Therefore, the players naturally made their decision: they chose not to pursue perfect limits, but to Breakthrough whenever possible, first raising their Realm, then gathering resources, and pursuing perfection later through a restart.

This advantage held by players is something the Natives cannot learn, and it is the confidence that allows many players to use any Cultivation Technique for Breakthroughs.

At the same time, this confidence makes the players highly self-assured, allowing them to easily pass the Infinite Illusions during Breakthroughs, resulting in a very high success rate.

This confidence is also extremely helpful for Fourth-Rank Breakthroughs.

As many players entered secluded Cultivation, one after another cultivated Five Divine Abilities and then began attempting the Nascent Soul Breakthrough.

Native forces like the Nine Swords Dao also became aware of the situation, and the Sects preparing to Charge the lower tier gathered to discuss.

"With so many players attempting a Breakthrough, I wonder how many will succeed?"

"If even one succeeds, they can join our operation."

"We just hope for more, as we are still severely short-handed."

"Elder Qin, you were responsible for sending people to contact the various Sects. What is the situation now?"

"Alas, responders are few..."

"This newly appeared Youming Demon Sect also has decent strength. Its Sect foundation is comparable to a Fourth-Rank Peak. If they join us, they should be a great help."

"Elder Qin, have you sent someone to contact them?"

"The Nine Swords Dao did send an Envoy, but their attitude was ambiguous, and they seemed unwilling to get heavily involved... However, we also found a way: we sent an Undercover Agent to figure out exactly what they intend to do."

"Oh? An Undercover Agent?"

...Hei Da Luan, a Disciple of the Nine Swords Dao, recently accepted a mission.

The mission was to go to the Youming Demon Sect as an Undercover Agent, try to figure out the Demon Sect's attitude towards Charging the lower tier, and ideally persuade the Sect Master of the Demon Sect to join the Alliance.

There were two main reasons why he was chosen as the Undercover Agent.

The first reason was his excellent strength. He won first place in the Nine Swords Dao's recent Prodigy Competition, and later completed the Sect's Trial Platform challenge, becoming an Honored Disciple and the Sect Head's Junior Brother.

With his strength, even if he encountered difficulties in the Youming Demon Sect, he could handle them freely and wouldn't be left helpless.

The second reason was that Hei Da Luan was too troublesome.

He once used an Aphrodisiac Powder to complete a Beast Hunting Mission, causing all the Vicious Beasts within the Nine Swords Dao Sect to go into heat, creating chaos for quite some time.

While undertaking trials, he consecutively severely injured many people and even killed some Prodigies who opposed him, angering several Elders.

Thus, he was chosen as the Undercover Agent and sent to the Youming Demon Sect.

To conceal his identity, Hei Da Luan adopted the alias "Bai Huo" and successfully joined as an Outer Sect Disciple while the Youming Demon Sect was Establishing the Sect and recruiting Disciples.

At the same time, other Sects also had Undercover Agents infiltrating the Youming Demon Sect.

Either to probe the Demon Sect's attitude or simply to understand the Demon Sect's situation.

Among them, the Undercover Agent sent by the Green Feather Sect was a diligent, loyal Disciple who performed outstandingly in the Outer Sect, named Luo Daonan.

Luo Daonan was not famous, and few people knew him. Therefore, he didn't need to disguise himself or even change his name, joining the Youming Demon Sect directly under his "real name."

There are also many factions within the Youming Demon Sect, one of which is called the 'Nurturing Corpse Peak'.

The name Nurturing Corpse Peak sounds sinister, but it doesn't actually nurture corpses; rather, it nurtures Blood Fiend Physical Bodies.

These Physical Bodies are refined using Heaven And Earth Treasure supplemented with Blood Fiend Qi, and do not use the corpses of Mortals or Cultivators.

According to the Youming Demon Sect, the mission of the Nurturing Corpse Peak is to prepare Fourth-Rank Physical Bodies for Cultivators ready to Breakthrough. Therefore, even using Fifth-Rank corpses for nurturing would be far from enough.

Hence, they do not use corpses, only Heaven And Earth Treasure and Blood Fiend Qi.

It often takes thousands of years of nurturing to cultivate a usable Blood Giant.

The most recent one has already been used, and they are now starting from scratch, so they require assistance from many Utility Disciples, which is why they needed to recruit people.

This allowed Undercover Agents like Luo Daonan and Bai Huo to enter smoothly and work as Servants at the Nurturing Corpse Peak.

Bai Huo was disguised, but Luo Daonan recognized him instantly.

'It's Hei Da Luan! He actually came here!'

Too much time had passed, and Luo Daonan had almost forgotten his original plan.

But the moment he saw Hei Da Luan, everything came back to him.

He had infiltrated as a Native in order to get close to Hei Da Luan, then team up with the Looking Up at the Stars Faction to kill him and take his place.

And now was the best opportunity!

Luo Daonan couldn't help but feel eager to act.

He quickly contacted the Looking Up at the Stars Faction.

"Boss, I found Hei Da Luan! He's right here in the Youming Demon Sect, without the protection of the Nine Swords Dao!

"He's alone. He must be here as an Undercover Agent, and likely has no one else following him.

"This is the best chance to strike at him!

"Boss? Are you there?"

After waiting for a long time, the Looking Up at the Stars Faction still did not reply.

Ever since that bizarre Dragon Roar, this Fifth-Rank Player had vanished, seemingly entering a state of silence.

"I am here.

"Hei Da Luan... Forget it, abandon all plans... Do not provoke him, absolutely do not... You cannot imagine how terrifying a child of destiny is... This thing... defies logic..."

Luo Daonan was stunned. He truly hadn't expected the Looking Up at the Stars Faction to have such an attitude.

Wait, didn't you tell me to infiltrate back then?

Now that the opportunity is here, you're scared and won't make a move?

He pressed further:

"Seriously, Buddy, what did that Luo Zheng do to scare you this badly?"

"..."

A long silence ensued.

"I've been Silenced... I dare not speak carelessly... I can only tell you that the children of destiny are far, far more terrifying than we imagined.

"Their apparent Cultivation Realms, their apparent Dao Protectors, they are all damn fake."
