208: Good heavens! Apple products now have fast charging!

In the evening, Lu Weiqi was picked up to have dinner with the Little Prince, while Fang Haoge, Liu Qi, and the others ate at the hotel. During the meal, Fang Haoge stayed by Liu Qi's side, pressing him for details about the situation in Africa.

PS: Originally, I wanted to write fifty or sixty thousand words detailing the development in Africa, but I was afraid you'd say I was padding the story, so I'll just introduce it this way.

"Brother Da Liu, do you only have one model right now?"

Liu Qi's mouth was stuffed with local specialty yogurt as he said indistinctly, "Just the one Q1."

After swallowing his food and rinsing his mouth, Liu Qi continued, "In the second half of the year, I plan to have the headquarters develop another model."

"The main features will be large speakers, long battery life, and solar charging!"

"Of course, multi-SIM standby and marquee lights are a must."

"The local brothers love marquee lights. You have no idea—once it gets dark there, the streets light up with black guys holding our Transmission Star Q1 phones with their marquee lights on, having dance battles. It's a spectacular sight."

"For the solar-charging Q2 we're developing this time, I discussed it with Uncle Xu and decided to launch two different versions."

"One is the Q2, with the battery capacity increased to 6000mAh, and large speakers installed at both the top and bottom. Sound quality doesn't matter as long as it's loud."

"The second is the Q2 Pro, equipped with a MediaTek quad-core processor. The battery capacity remains the same, but the speaker sound quality will be slightly better."

"It will come with a bundled solar charging panel of about 5W."

"I plan to price the Pro version at 18,000 Naira. The basic plan is already written. Once this press conference is over, I'll send it back to the country for the headquarters to start development."

"Impressive!"

Liu Qi felt a bit embarrassed. "I didn't come up with all of this myself. It's mainly because the situation over there is like that; there's no other way."

"We can't break into the high-end market for now, so we have to start with low-end phones."

"That's still amazing. Look at the domestic market; it's incredibly competitive right now." Fang Haoge thought of the domestic market, which was truly cutthroat.

Video site creators, antivirus software developers, e-commerce players, air conditioner manufacturers, and even an English teacher have all rushed headlong into making mobile phones.

One after another, they follow in each other's footsteps.

"In the low-end market over there, you only have Nokia and Samsung, and there's no local mobile phone industry. Now that Nokia's feature phones are gradually being replaced by smartphones, as long as you take down Nokia, Transmission Star will be the god of Africa."

"Look at the domestic market. Huawei is determined to move into the high-end market and even established a new Brand, Brand. Meizu has the Meilan series, and Xiaomi has the Hongmi series."

"Oh, and there's OnePlus."

"The mid-to-low-end market has become especially competitive starting this year. After the conference, I'll go apply with CEO Lu. Things seem pretty good here in the Middle East too."

The group finished eating at the hotel restaurant and chatted in their room for a while before Lu Weiqi was sent back by Abdullah's butler.

In the blink of an eye, it was September 21st. The rest of the Red Star Engineer team, led by Shen Yiren, arrived in Riyadh to perform on-site equipment debugging and other work.

The press conference was held in the grand hall of the King's Palace in Riyadh. The 1,500-square-meter area wasn't huge, but it wasn't small either; it was enough to accommodate the dog tycoon elites and the media.

With the unique gold decorations in the palace paired with modern electronic products, it didn't seem that out of place.

On the 21st, the Fruit 6th generation was also officially released in the USA. Not only was Red Star Company paying attention, but countless digital enthusiasts around the world were also focused on this new Fruit product launch.

Competition in the smartphone era is currently very fierce. Red Star is using the Red Star X to launch an assault on the true high-end market, but there is no doubt that the Apple phone still stands firmly at the very top of the mobile industry.

And it takes away the vast majority of the profits.

It seems that every new Fruit product launch is a carnival for the tech world.

Why not call it the Spring Festival Gala of the tech world?

Because the Spring Festival Gala of the tech world belongs to a Chinese company's press conference.

Is the Spring Festival Gala still the Gala without a cross-talk performance?

At this launch event, Cook brought a total of three products: the iPhone 6, the iPhone 6 Plus, and the Fruit Smart Speaker.

At the same time, both phone models had long-battery-life versions available for purchase.

If this were the original timeline, Cook could have boldly claimed that the Fruit A8 processor in the iPhone 6 was the strongest on earth.

But now, with Red Star's Lingxiao Jueying leading the way, Cook didn't even mention being the strongest.

The last one to claim they had the strongest processor on earth, Qualcomm, is currently having a headache over that processor's power consumption.

As Cook's introduction proceeded, the specifications of the iPhone 6 generation were gradually revealed. The biggest change was first in the camera department.

The camera module sensor of the iPhone 6 generation utilized a large 1/2.95-inch sensor.

This was the third phone released globally to enter the 1/3-inch sensor range.

The second was the Red Star X, which featured a 1/2-inch sensor.

As for the first...

It was naturally the former imaging king, Nokia.

Ultra-large CMOS, Zeiss optics, and ultra-high pixel count.

Unfortunately, it was born in the wrong era.

The sensor on the iPhone 6 generation also came from Sony in Japan, and Fruit had specifically polished it, making the iPhone 6's color reproduction no worse than the Red Star X, except for portraits.

As for portraits, Red Star's primary lens plus depth-of-field lens solution was temporarily unrivaled.

Unlike the squared-off right-angled edges of the iPhone 5s, the integrated aluminum alloy shell of the iPhone 6 used a rounded design, providing a nice, smooth feel in the hand.

For the screen, the iPhone 6 still used an LCD screen, and it was a "mixed use" of suppliers.

Unlike the mixed use by later domestic manufacturers, Fruit's screens from different manufacturers like Sharp, Toshiba, and Samsung could achieve almost the same visual experience.

Of course, this was also because LCD screens are easier to calibrate.

After switching to OLED screens, Fruit's screens from different suppliers still showed differences.

The biggest difference for the iPhone 6 Plus lay in the body screen size and battery capacity.

The standard iPhone 6 battery capacity was only 1800mAh, with the long-battery-life version at 2700mAh, while the Plus version was upgraded to 2900mAh and 4500mAh.

In Cook's words, the long-battery-life version of the iPhone 6 Plus could achieve 140 hours of continuous talk time and over 25 hours of continuous daily use.

A true king of battery life.

If you want to talk about the biggest change, it was that Fruit actually had fast charging!

With Red Star pushing fast charging to 90 watts, Fruit Company finally realized the importance of fast charging and featured Fruit Fast Charge for the first time on the iPhone 6 Plus.
