33: 4G baseband
"Xiao Ai."

"I'm here."
"What rewards do I get for releasing products this time?"
"Given that the Host has already broken through fast charging technology on his own.
Reward 1: New Battery Improvement Plan."
"Reward 2: Brand New 4G Baseband chip Technology"
"Reward 3: Artificial Intelligence Data Model."
The battery technology improvement plan doesn't have a particularly large impact at the moment. It seems the system's original reward should have been the fast charging plan, but since the Red Star Laboratory is already able to independently advance charging technology, it was changed directly to battery technology.
The most useful one is probably the 4G baseband technology. You should know that the current 4G technology standards are still in the hands of several large foreign companies. To use 4G, you definitely have to pay them patent fees, and starting from the end of next year, 4G will already be preparing to enter the network.
As for the Artificial Intelligence Data Model, with this, Xiao Ai can be brought to the world even earlier.
After receiving the rewards, Chen Chen finally had time to look at the online discussions about these two mobile phones.
"A 3000mAh battery in the Kunpeng mobile phone? My Fruit is only a thousand or so; this battery life must be insane, truly terrifying!"
"Holy crap, is this new phone going to defy heaven? Why install such a large battery? The battery in the hongxing 2nd generation isn't small either. Does this Chen Chen have battery anxiety?"
"Who knows? This Red Star seems obsessed with charging. Last year it was 18 watts, this year 27 watts, and Kunpeng aggressively went with 40 watts. But this phone is indeed good. If I weren't short on cash, I'd definitely get one."
"The press conference talked a big game, but I don't know how it'll actually be in use. Is it worth this price of nearly 4000? @An Old Fish, Old Fish, come out and give us a review."
"@An Old Fish. Old Fish, come and do a review."
[An Old Fish]: "Thanks for the support, friends, and thanks to President Chen, Chen Chen for the invitation. I watched the entire press conference, and it boils down to two points: cost-performance and localization.
Cost-performance is easy to understand. The hongxing 2nd generation is just like the mi 2; one is 1999 and the other is 1998. You can basically buy them without thinking, depending on which system you find smoother. As for the differences between the two phones, it's nothing more than the difference between a China Star screen and a Sharp screen; the performance of the two phones is basically the same.
If you're a gamer, I suggest you get the mi 2 because the Qualcomm S4's graphics processing capability is higher than the hongxing 2nd generation's. You can see this from the AnTuTu scores of the two phones; the S4's GPU score is a full 25% higher than Lingxiao S2, but Lingxiao S2's clock speed is higher.
It's really hard to choose, and the hongxing 2nd generation's charging speed is even faster.
As for the Kunpeng mobile phone, I don't know what to say. Before the conference, I said domestic phones couldn't support a price over 3000, and domestic manufacturers didn't have any advanced technology to sell phones for over 3000. President Chen's Kunpeng mobile phone really slapped me in the face.
First, let's talk about charging; this is undoubtedly the fastest in the world. What does 40 watts of power mean? It's estimated that it would take other manufacturers two years to catch up to this speed. I remember last year someone said that a certain Fruit and a certain Samsung had faster charging technology lying in their labs @Old Zhang Talks Tech, so why haven't we seen them use it?
What surprised me was Xiaomi; they actually managed to get the power up to 18 watts in just one year. This is indeed worthy of praise, very impressive. It seems President Lei's claim that Xiaomi is a technology company wasn't a lie.
Let's talk about the screen. What I want to say is that this screen is a giant step for domestic manufacturers. You should know that panel technology has always been our shortcoming. When TCL was pushing the Huaxing Optoelectronics project, Samsung invested with technology and introduced Samsung's entire production line.
Now looking at Huaxing's share structure, Samsung's stake is less than 10%, while Red Star actually holds a 7% stake, becoming the fourth largest shareholder of Huaxing Optoelectronics.
This shows that this 1080p technology was indeed brought out by Red Star to develop and experiment with Huaxing Optoelectronics. It might even have been used as technology for equity, which shows that Red Star is pushing for the localization of parts.
Because I haven't received the actual device yet, I can't evaluate the quality of this screen, nor can I compare it with other phones, because there simply isn't another 1080p resolution phone on the market.
The large battery and fast charging you mentioned are very likely prepared for Lingxiao S2 and this screen. Otherwise, with the power consumption of a 1080p resolution, 5.5-inch large screen, a normal battery of around 2000mAh wouldn't even last a day.
Given the configuration and some technologies of the Kunpeng mobile phone, the starting price of 3499 is indeed worth it, but how many people will ultimately pay for it remains an unknown. I'll take a wild guess and say it could sell 500,000 units in 2012."
Many netizens read [An Old Fish]'s comments and then @[Old Zhang Talks Tech] to come out and say a few words.
Who says the internet has no memory? Everyone clearly remembers him saying last year that Fruit and Samsung had more powerful charging technology, and yet a year has passed. These manufacturers are still at 5V1A power.
Zhang Fugui looked at the netizens' mentions and felt very annoyed. Didn't I just say a few things about your Red Star last year? Is it really necessary to keep hounding me this year?
However, Zhang Fugui had seen plenty of this level of online bickering. This intensity was weak compared to board raiding!
He then stretched his wrists and directly launched a counterattack.
[Old Zhang Talks Tech]: "Although I didn't go to the press conference site, combined with the online news and the live text and image broadcasts, I have a clear understanding of these two phones. In my opinion, these two phones are..."
"Trash!"
"A domestic screen was praised to the skies at the press conference; people who didn't know better would have thought it was alien technology. In the end, after all that fuss, it's just a 1080p resolution. I really don't know what there is to brag about. Screens with this resolution were already rolled off the production line by Samsung last year; it's just that the price was high when mass production started and no phones had used them yet, so Red Star snatched the debut."
"As for bragging about brightness or resolution, it's useless. 1080p resolution does nothing but increase power consumption; it won't make the image display any clearer. Besides, the human eye can't tell the difference with a screen over 720p resolution, so what's the use of having it so high?
Setting aside the resolution, let's talk about domestic screens. It's not that I look down on Huaxing Optoelectronics, but their production lines were all set up by Samsung. So what, they can surpass Samsung?
Not to mention charging; I still stand by what I said: fast charging is useless.
Never mind charging in 30 minutes; even if you could charge in three minutes, it's not as fast as me just swapping a battery. I only need 20 seconds to finish the replacement. And what's this about specially developing a type-c interface for charging? Can a domestic manufacturer figure out an interface that even Fruit hasn't researched?"
"Now that the Micro interface has just been unified, you come out with a type-c. If I'm out using your Red Star phone and it runs out of power, I won't even have a usable charging cable. This isn't called convenience; this is called turning back the clock of history. Everyone is happily using Micro, but Red Star has to be special."
"It's nothing more than playing to the gallery."
"As for the starting price of 3499, that's even more unrealistic. I dare to bet with @An Old Fish that if the Kunpeng mobile phone sells 200,000 units by the end of the year, counting from New Year's Day, you win."
