152: Who is this...?

"Oh, what a coincidence."

Dream Butterfly's lips curved into a smile as her gaze swept over the group of battered survivors.

"Hmph."

Tu Wanshan snorted coldly, not bothering to hide his displeasure, and said with a sour face, "Why are you here?"

"Eh, that's strange. This isn't your home, so why can't I be here?" Dream Butterfly retorted.

Dream Butterfly mused, "Speaking of coincidences, I just met Ma Changjie not long ago, and now I've run into you. I wonder who has the saint child token now?"

From Dream Butterfly's perspective, Qi Liang, Jiang Qinqin, Ma Changjie, Fang Xiang, and Palace Madam could be ruled out. Now, Tu Wanshan was also out, leaving only Luo Yu, Zhou Longsheng, and You Jianfeng.

She didn't put any of these three in her eyes, so she was determined to get the saint child token.

She didn't know that Luo Yu and Zhou Longsheng had long since died.

Tu Wanshan's eyes were filled with hatred. "You saw Ma Changjie?"

"Yes." Dream Butterfly looked sideways, not understanding where his great resentment came from.

"Where is he?" Tu Wanshan stood up and asked.

Dream Butterfly's thoughts spun, and she pointed into the distance. "Over there."

Tu Wanshan waved his hand. "Let's go!"

The Bald Woman and her group followed Tu Wanshan away.

Dream Butterfly covered her mouth with a smile and continued to chase after the rainbow light.

The Bald Woman whispered, "Senior Brother, we should get the saint child token first. We can avenge Ma Changjie later."

Tu Wanshan sighed inwardly. How could he not know this truth?

But their strength was greatly diminished, and they were no longer strong enough to contend with Dream Butterfly's faction. They could only retreat first and make plans later.

Tu Wanshan looked at the two rainbow lights in the sky. One was moving slowly, gradually approaching them, while the other was moving quickly towards the mountain gate. If nothing unexpected happened, the first Saint was about to be born.

He guessed that the one moving towards the mountain gate should be Qi Liang's faction. They were the strongest, and it was expected that they would obtain the saint child token first.

One day later.

Xu Sanyan looked at the six people behind him. There were originally nine, but after the previous battle, one died and one was injured. The injured person was severely wounded and had been abandoned.

Days of continuous travel had exhausted everyone. Xiang Tan and Chu were panting, supporting each other as they moved their feet.

"Let's rest for a while," Xu Sanyan said softly.

Upon hearing this, everyone collapsed to the ground. Xiang Tan's face revealed a smile. Although her body was tired, it couldn't hide the excitement in her heart. The closer they got to the mountain gate, the more excited she became.

As long as Xu Sanyan ascended to the position of Saint, her status would rise, and even some Elders of the Mystic Path Realm would have to give her some face.

Chu held Xiang Tan's arm, leaned close to her ear, and whispered, "Senior Sister, when we get out, please help me say good words for me. I also want to serve Senior Brother Xu..."

Xiang Tan patted her hand and gently comforted her, "Don't worry, with our sisterly relationship, who else would I help if not you?"

"Mm, Senior Sister is the best," Chu said with a joyful smile.

Xu Sanyan took out the saint child token and played with it. He found that the closer they got to the mountain gate, the brighter the rainbow light on the saint child token became.

They were two days away from returning to the mountain gate. He hoped no problems would arise.

Although this Saint Child Competition was short, lasting less than a month, its intensity was no less. Originally, two hundred people participated in the competition, and by today, half had been lost.

Only Qi Liang and Dream Butterfly's factions had suffered no losses.

Behind Xu Sanyan, the atmosphere among the four men was somewhat subtle. There were only five spots for supporters. Xiang Tan and Chu, having made significant contributions, naturally occupied two, leaving only three spots, but there were four people present. One person was destined to be abandoned.

Suddenly, another rainbow light lit up in the sky, and the fourth saint child token appeared.

Xu Sanyan looked up, glanced at the map, and saw that the direction should be Hundred Beast Peak, but it no longer concerned him.

"Let's go," Xu Sanyan said, leading the way forward.

Everyone followed in turn.

...

Qi Liang looked at the rainbow light that lit up in the direction of Hundred Beast Peak, a hint of a smile in his eyes. "Let's go and welcome our hero."

Jiang Qinqin whispered, "Senior Brother Qi, what are you going to do with Sima Xin?"

"What do you think?" Qi Liang turned his head and retorted.

Jiang Qinqin pondered for a moment and tentatively said, "Perhaps... we can spare his life. If Sima Xin lives, Qi Yuanzhu will think everything is still under his control. Our strength is still weak, so it's best to endure for now."

Qi Yuanzhu was Qi Liang's Elder brother, and the only remaining Saint from the previous generation.

"Mm."

Qi Liang hummed, noncommittally, his gaze fixed on the rainbow light closest to the mountain gate, wondering who it was.

Just then, a sound came from his side. Qi Liang turned his head and saw a group of people emerge from the forest.

The person leading them was bald, with a bruised and swollen face. A patch of scalp on his head was oozing blood, as if his hair had been forcibly ripped out. He also had bandages wrapped around his body, with blood seeping through them, looking very miserable.

Qi Liang said in surprise, "This bald monk is...?"

"Giggle..." Jiang Qinqin couldn't help but laugh, covering her mouth to stifle it. She naturally recognized this person.

Fang Xiang was furious. "Bald your grandpa, I'm Fang Xiang!"

"Hahahaha..." Qi Liang immediately burst into laughter, pointing at him and roaring, "Two days without seeing you, how did you end up in such a state?"

They had just parted ways in Wutong Forest two days ago.

Fang Xiang looked depressed. "Damn it, don't even mention it."

Qi Liang raised an eyebrow, looking at the bleeding scalp on his head. This was where Fang Xiang's favorite tuft of hair used to be, but now it was gone, making him even more curious. "What exactly happened?"

Fang Xiang sighed, "I ran into a pervert. Couldn't beat him."

Thinking of Xu Sanyan, Fang Xiang felt incredibly depressed, and deep down, there was even a profound sense of awe, which he was unwilling to admit.

"Did you meet Tu Wanshan?" Qi Liang asked with a smile.

Fang Xiang shook his head. "No."

"Oh? Besides Tu Wanshan, is there anyone else who can beat you into this state?"

Qi Liang looked surprised. In his opinion, Fang Xiang's strength was not weak. Although he ranked fifth among the "Ten Heroes," in terms of individual strength, he should have a place among the top three.

Fang Xiang briefly explained the whole story. Qi Liang listened quietly, his eyes unconsciously narrowing. When did such a person appear in the Saint Sect?

Fang Xiang didn't want to get too entangled with him, so he waved his hand. "I'm leaving."

Qi Liang stopped him. "Where are you going?"

"Over there," Fang Xiang said matter-of-factly, pointing at Hundred Beast Peak, and then looked down at the rainbow light in Qi Liang's arms. "Otherwise, would I steal your saint child token?"

Fang Xiang had originally planned to try his luck at Hundred Beast Peak, but he didn't expect someone to beat him to it. He was just going to see which thoughtless person dared to steal his things.

That's right, Fang Xiang had already assumed that the saint child token on Hundred Beast Peak was his.

Qi Liang pursed his lips, then suddenly grinned, revealing his teeth. Fang Xiang was from Blood Refinement Mountain, so perhaps there was an opportunity to plant a spy in the Blood Refinement Lineage as well.
