29: Blood-colored knife

The young man stared intently at Xu Sanyan, his face full of hatred, and gritted his teeth, "I can tell you, but you must let them go!"

Most of these villagers were his relatives and friends, and the young man couldn't bear to see them die because of him, so he finally gave in.

Xu Sanyan revealed a mouthful of white teeth and nodded in agreement, "Alright, I only want the item."

"It's buried under the tree in front of my house," the young man said.

"Take me there," Xu Sanyan said, sheathing his long saber.

The two came to the tree. Xu Sanyan dug out a wooden box with his long saber. Opening it, a Blood-colored Small Knife, glowing faintly red and an inch long, lay quietly inside.

"Hahahaha…"

With just one glance, Xu Sanyan knew that this was the heaven and earth treasures he sought!

"This item has been in your hands for so long, you should know how to use it, right?" Xu Sanyan turned his head and asked.

"Hmph!"

The young man turned his head away.

"Heh heh, if you don't want to say, then so be it. I'll kill two first, starting with that child."

Xu Sanyan seemed to think of something amusing and couldn't help but smile.

"You!"

The young man glared, although he knew Xu Sanyan might be bluffing him, he didn't dare to gamble and could only say,

"Every time this Blood-colored Small Knife slaughters a living creature, a few drops of blood will flow out. As long as you drink it, you can strengthen your physique."

Xu Sanyan was pleasantly surprised in his heart; it truly lived up to its name as a heaven and earth treasures!

The young man's extraordinary physique had come from this.

"Who did you kill?" Xu Sanyan asked curiously.

The young man said with disdain, "Do you take me for you? I only kill animals, never people."

Xu Sanyan nodded, this treasure falling into his hands was truly a waste of its potential.

Now that he had the item, the young man was no longer useful. Xu Sanyan gripped the Blood-colored Small Knife and instantly stabbed it into the young man's heart.

"Don't be a good person in your next life. Good people don't live long," Xu Sanyan said, looking into his eyes.

"Hoo… please… spare… the villagers…" The young man was still worried about him indiscriminately killing before he died.

Xu Sanyan watched his body gradually weaken, as if all his Qi and blood were absorbed by the Blood-colored Small Knife. While he was still alive, he comforted him, "Don't worry, you'll all be reunited soon."

The young man's pupils widened, and his mouth moved as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, he didn't speak.

Spare the villagers?

Heh…

Xu Sanyan sneered, this matter could only be known by him alone. Everyone who knew about it must die!

A moment later, the young man was nothing but skin and bones, all his Qi and blood completely absorbed.

At the hilt of the Blood-colored Small Knife, there was a groove where a few drops of blood had gathered, emitting a strong, bloody scent.

Although the smell was extremely pungent, an uncontrollable greed rose in Xu Sanyan's heart, and a voice in his mind seemed to be urging him frantically,

"Eat it! Eat it!"

Xu Sanyan tilted his head back and swallowed the few drops of blood.

Boom!

In an instant, it was as if a furnace ignited within his body. His body instantly became extremely hot, and his blood flowed like a surging river through his veins.

He could almost hear the sound of waves crashing in his ears.

It felt as if thousands of insects were crawling in his bone marrow; that deep-seated, Soul-stirring itch made him feel both ecstatic and tormented.

Xu Sanyan tightly closed his eyes, gritting his teeth, not allowing himself to cry out.

After an unknown period, his body temperature gradually returned to normal, and the pervasive heat receded. Only then did he slowly open his eyes.

"Hoo…"

Xu Sanyan let out a long breath. His body felt as if it had been completely renewed, all his chronic ailments gone. He had never felt so light and at ease.

He moved his left hand and couldn't help but let out a soft "Oh," seeing that his broken finger joint was perfectly restored. When he clenched his fist, it felt even stronger.

Looking at the large tree nearby, Xu Sanyan circulated his Qi and threw a punch with all his might.

Bang!

The thigh-thick tree snapped in response!

"Hahahahaha…"

Xu Sanyan could no longer suppress the excitement in his heart and burst into laughter.

With this item, I shall have a place among the world's heroes!

Xu Sanyan held the Blood-colored Small Knife, his heart filled with soaring ambition.

Ma Tianqing and this young man from the Fang Family were both top Genius, yet they still died by his blade. No matter how excellent one's talent, there was always the risk of a premature end to one's Dao.

If talent cannot be converted into strength, it is merely talent.

Xu Sanyan turned and walked towards the villagers.

In the silent night, over a hundred villagers gathered together, looking at the group of burly men with sabers and horses around them, a faint worry in their hearts.

"Mom, I want to go back to sleep," a child nestled in his mother's arms, whispering.

"Be good, just sleep here," the young mother hugged her child tightly, softly comforting him.

A villager beside them looked at the old village chief, "Uncle, when can we go back?"

The old village chief's eyes held a hidden worry as he gently shook his head.

A moment later, Xu Sanyan's figure emerged from the darkness. Looking at the huddled villagers, he smiled faintly, "Thank you all for your trouble. I feel truly sorry that you have to be out here with us so late."

The old village chief breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. This young leader seemed quite easy to talk to. He waved his hands repeatedly and said, "You are too kind, sir. It's good that you found what you were looking for. If there's nothing else, can we go home?"

Xu Sanyan grinned, "Of course you can."

"Thank you, sir."

The old village chief bowed repeatedly, then turned to the crowd and said, "Everyone go home. Remember to keep your mouths shut. No one is to mention tonight's events again."

The old village chief deliberately said this in front of Xu Sanyan to put him at ease. As for what happened to the young man from the Fang Family, they didn't dare to ask.

Xu Sanyan gently shook his head. In his heart, only dead people could keep secrets.

After the villagers had walked a little further, Xu Sanyan gestured to his subordinates behind him, nodding towards the villagers, "Go, leave no one alive."

"Gang Leader, this…"

The subordinates hesitated. In their daily skirmishes with other Gang, they were brave and ruthless, but now facing the old, young, women, and common people, it was difficult for them to kill.

Xu Sanyan looked at them coldly, his face showing a casual disregard for human life, "They die or you die, choose for yourselves."

Everyone exchanged glances, then lowered their heads. One of them spoke, "Gang Leader, perhaps you could reconsider…"

Before he finished speaking, Xu Sanyan's long saber flew out directly. The bloody head of the man on horseback soared into the air, and his headless body fell to the ground.

"Three breaths. I don't mind doing it myself."

Xu Sanyan's words were very clear. Once he acted personally, no one would live.

He had the ability to slaughter the village, and even more so, the ability to kill these twenty people.

Everyone gritted their teeth fiercely and charged forward on their horses, "Kill!"

No one wanted to die, and no one would sacrifice their lives for a group of unrelated people. Besides, they weren't good people to begin with; it was just that their moral bottom line wasn't that low. Today, Xu Sanyan would help them lower that bottom line again.

"Ah!"

"Sir, we won't say anything, please spare us."

"Mom, I'm scared…"

…

The scene was chaotic. Some resisted, some fled in panic. Screams and roars intertwined, composing a bloody, tragic symphony. Xu Sanyan turned away, unable to bear it.

Sigh, he couldn't help it. If you don't die, I can't sleep soundly…

Moreover, the Dao of the world is like this: the strong prey on the weak. Who told you to be weak?

If Xu Sanyan were to be killed by someone stronger than him one day, he wouldn't complain or blame others. He would only blame himself for being too weak.
