280: Flirt with him?

"I am Old Master Chang, greetings, Fellow Daoist. May I ask your name?" The old man stopped not far in front of Xu Sanyan and bowed with his hands cupped.

Having lived to this age, he was long accustomed to the peculiar quirks of certain Cultivators; this young man merely liked to run around naked, which was nothing of note.

The woman of the Chang family swallowed, and finding it improper to keep staring at that place, she looked away as if nothing had happened.

Xu Sanyan smiled. "I am Lin Fan, greetings, Old Master Chang."

He was temporarily borrowing Lin Fan's name, thinking that he surely wouldn't mind.

It was mainly because the name Xu Sanyan had already gained some fame; after the experience in the Hundred Saints Secret Realm, many people knew he held a secret realm fruit, so it was better to be cautious.

"So it is Young Master Lin. May I ask what brings you here, Young Master?"

Old Master Chang glanced at the sphere wrapped in a large banner in Xu Sanyan's hand, his eyes showing a hint of curiosity.

He could sense that this youth's cultivation was not below his own, so he was very polite in his speech.

Although there was no law to speak of in Luan Yun Mountain, there were still some conventional rules that needed to be followed. For instance, Xu Sanyan had broken the rules by rashly entering the Chang family's territory without prior notification.

Fortunately, Old Master Chang did not hold it against him, or at least he appeared amicable on the surface.

After a moment of contemplation, Xu Sanyan spoke, "I am originally a Disciple of the Guangyuan Sect. Due to being framed by a villain, I had no choice but to flee into your esteemed village's precious land. Please forgive my intrusion."

Old Master Chang stroked his beard with one hand and slowly nodded. He only believed three parts of what Xu Sanyan said, mainly because he had never seen any young hero of the Righteous Path running around naked.

But even that was believing too much; there wasn't a single word of truth in Xu Sanyan's mouth.

A woman in white behind him shifted her gaze, staring at Xu Sanyan, the corners of her mouth slowly curling into a smile. What a handsome youth; she liked him very much!

Xu Sanyan bowed and said, "I have nowhere else to go. I ask that you, Senior, allow me to enter your village to rest for a while. Once I have recovered from my injuries, I will naturally depart."

He then took out a handful of Spirit Stones from his Storage Pouch. "I am by no means a person who seeks petty gains. Please, Senior, do not decline this small token of gratitude."

Xu Sanyan was trying his best to craft a persona for himself: a 'young hero of the Righteous Path, persecuted by a villain, and forced to end up here.'

Of course, there was no need to deliberately craft it, because in his heart, he truly was a hero filled with love and justice.

Old Master Chang hesitated for a moment, then waved his hand. "Eh, Young Master, you are mistaken. We who seek the Dao are all the same; we should help each other. Do not mention any tokens of gratitude; please, come in quickly."

Old Master Chang was confident that on his own turf, this kid couldn't pull any tricks. Moreover, this youth's cultivation was not low and his aptitude was exceptional; if he could be brought into the village and become one of them, it would be for the best...

His youngest daughter had just lost her husband, after all...

After thinking it over, Old Master Chang decided to find out more first.

"Please." Old Master Chang stepped aside and gestured.

Xu Sanyan looked grateful. "Thank you, Senior."

The group behind him cleared a path for him. Xu Sanyan feigned embarrassment and held the secret realm fruit in front of his crotch, covering his critical parts.

Old Master Chang walked side by side with Xu Sanyan, chatting as they went. "May I ask Young Master Lin's age?"

"Forty-seven." Xu Sanyan added a bit more.

"Oh?" Old Master Chang looked shocked. A Soul Refinement Realm Cultivator in his forties?

Such aptitude was rare in the world!

Consequently, his expression became even more serious. "Young Master Lin is truly gifted. Such talent truly makes this old man ashamed."

The woman behind him cast her gaze upon Xu Sanyan's buttocks; as he walked, certain parts were faintly visible, which made her even more excited.

Xu Sanyan smiled. "Senior is too polite; you may just call me by my name."

"Good, then I shall shamelessly call you Nephew."

"Then I shall boldly address you as Uncle." Xu Sanyan said, proving himself to be very savvy.

"Hahaha, good."

The two chatted happily all the way into the village.

Xu Sanyan scanned his surroundings. This Chang Family Village was located in a depression between two mountains. The village was built with mountain stones around the perimeter, and the interior was extremely spacious.

Upon entering the village gate, what came into view was a plaza. On both sides of the plaza, large rows of houses were neatly arranged, with many Mortals walking among them.

While they were called Mortals, they actually possessed cultivation, but since they had not yet reached Foundation Establishment, they were collectively referred to as Mortals.

Continuing further in, there was an imposing great hall. On the eaves, a plaque was inscribed with four large characters in a vigorous and cursive style: "Eternal for Ten Thousand Generations."

"What fine calligraphy!" Xu Sanyan exclaimed.

In truth, he couldn't tell good from bad at all, but praising it was never wrong.

"Hahahaha, this was written by the Chang family ancestors, nearly a thousand years ago." Old Master Chang explained with a laugh, then turned his head. "Go find a suitable set of clothes for Nephew Lin."

"Yes." The woman behind him shifted her gaze, nodded, and left.

Xu Sanyan said somewhat embarrassedly, "Thank you, Uncle. I was so focused on fleeing for my life that I have truly made a fool of myself before you."

"Hehe, no matter. We who cultivate and seek the Dao need not be bound by minor details." Old Master Chang was completely unconcerned.

The group sat down. Old Master Chang sat at the head, and Xu Sanyan sat at the first seat on the left, showing his respect.

Old Master Chang pointed to the others and said, "Let me introduce them to you, Nephew. This is my eldest son, named Chang Linmu."

Xu Sanyan turned to look and saw a heroic-looking middle-aged man smiling at him; the two cupped their hands in greeting.

Then, Old Master Chang pointed to another man. "This is my second son, named Chang Fangmu."

"This is my eldest daughter, Chang Yulian, and the one getting clothes for the young hero is my second daughter, Chang Yin Nu."

Xu Sanyan greeted everyone one by one.

"There are a few Elders in the family who have gone out and have not returned; I will introduce them to you, Nephew, another day."

Xu Sanyan nodded.

At this moment, Chang Yin Nu returned, holding a black, form-fitting, luxurious robe in her hand. It looked extremely magnificent, embroidered with gold thread around the edges, and a cloud pattern was embroidered on the chest.

Chang Yin Nu looked at Xu Sanyan with bright eyes. "Young Master, wear this."

"Thank you."

The moment Xu Sanyan took the clothes, he felt his fingertip being lightly scratched. He looked up and found Chang Yin Nu winking at him gently.

The corners of Xu Sanyan's mouth twitched silently. What did this mean?

Flirting with him?

After changing into the clothes on the spot, Old Master Chang stroked his hand in praise. "What a handsome hero; truly an extraordinary appearance."

Chang Yin Nu's eyes grew even brighter, and she secretly praised her own discerning eye.

Xu Sanyan's features were already extraordinary, and after achieving success in his cultivation, he added an air of Aura. Coupled with his well-proportioned figure, this outfit made him look even more heroic.

"Thank you." Xu Sanyan cupped his hands in thanks.

Old Master Chang's gaze shifted to the sphere that never left Xu Sanyan's side, but he did not ask about it.

The sphere was wrapped in a large banner, making it impossible to see what was inside, but it was likely extremely valuable.
