212: No one understands women better than him!

Lin Fan finally realized he was a person and let out a long sigh of relief, his tone inevitably carrying a hint of complaint, "Your Breath Concealment Technique is too good; you scared me to death."

He hadn't sensed anyone in the corner at all; he had just gone to look after hearing a sound and was almost scared to death.

Hearing someone praise him, Huan Xier was overjoyed, "Hehe, it's not that great, hehe..."

Then he added, "It's just generally good, hehe."

Lin Fan frowned, feeling that this person was a bit strange, seemingly not very intelligent.

"I am Lin Fan; may I ask Your Excellency's name?"

"My name is Huan Xier. I like my godmother and hate Mo Qianqian." When Mo Qianqian was mentioned, Huan Xier wrinkled his nose, his expression showing extreme displeasure.

Lin Fan twitched his lips. Who asked you that?

Through these two sentences, he once again confirmed that this person wasn't very bright.

"Brother Huan, do you know where this is?"

"I don't know."

Lin Fan thought for a moment and changed his question, "How did you get in?"

"The door wasn't closed," Huan Xier said righteously.

"Never mind. Go play."

Lin Fan gave up on finding clues from him and turned to leave.

Huan Xier felt bewildered. Could it be... this person has a mental illness?

...

The sky gradually brightened. Xu Sanyan raised his eyes and scanned the panel. The Qi accumulated overnight was only over two hundred, not enough to upgrade the "Subduing the Mind Monkey Art".

With a wave of his large sleeve, the tall wooden door slowly opened. After scanning around, he spoke softly, "Let's go to the city."

"Yes."

Stepping out of the pavilion, Xu Sanyan looked up at the sun in the sky. The sunlight was unchanging, rising at the same time every day and setting at the same time. The weather never changed. He was very curious if the sun hanging high in the sky was real.

The wide street was in ruins, with traces of devastation by corpse demons everywhere. Xu Sanyan narrowed his eyes, looking towards the end of the long street, where three figures slowly appeared.

"People from the Zuoqiu Family?"

Xu Sanyan muttered to himself. The woman leading them looked very familiar. Her round face and rosy, small mouth resembled Zuoqiu Hui.

The three people opposite stopped, having also noticed Xu Sanyan and his group. From a distance, Zuoqiu Yu called out loudly, "Little girl Huai Lake Zuoqiu Yu greets all Fellow Daoists."

Seeing the fierce appearance of Xu Sanyan's group, they already had a guess about their identity, so they did not approach, preparing to flee at any time.

"Fifth Sister, the group opposite seems to be from the Demonic Sect. If the situation is not right, you run first, and our brothers will stop them," the young man beside Zuoqiu Yu said with a solemn expression.

Zuoqiu Yu slowly shook her head, "Do not act rashly."

Xiang Tan whispered in his ear, "Senior Brother, it's the fifth of the Huai Lake Seven Heroes."

Xu Sanyan nodded, a smile on his lips. Speaking of which, he really had a connection with the Zuoqiu Family; he ran into them everywhere. So he spoke to reassure them, "Little sister, there's no need to panic. I have a close relationship with your eldest sister. We are all family."

He had taken a fancy to Zuoqiu Shu, and since Zuoqiu Shu hadn't explicitly refused, it was considered tacit consent. Girls are thin-skinned, he understood all of that.

No one understood women better than him!

None of the women he had taken a fancy to had ever escaped his demonic... palm. Zuoqiu Shu was no exception!

Zuoqiu Yu was stunned upon hearing this. When did Big Sister get involved with the Demonic Sect?

"Fifth Sister, don't listen to his nonsense. He must be trying to deceive us and make us lower our guard. We must not be careless," the young man behind her said cautiously.

Xu Sanyan was too lazy to entangle with them and waved his hand casually, "If you meet your eldest sister, please tell her for me to protect herself well and wait for me after cleaning up."

Qin Manyang pouted, silently mourning for Zuoqiu Shu in her heart.

Zuoqiu Yu and the other two were indignant in their hearts, but due to the large number of opponents, they dared not act out, only saying in a deep voice, "Does Your Excellency dare to leave your name?"

"My surname is Xu."

After Xu Sanyan finished speaking, he stepped away. Xiang Tan smiled faintly at Zuoqiu Yu, "To be favored by the Saint is a blessing for your Zuoqiu Family."

After they had gone far, Zuoqiu Yu snorted softly and took out her communication stone to send a message to her eldest sister.

...

Outside, it was bright, but inside the haunted house, it was still night. Lin Fan sighed softly as he looked at the headless female ghost. What a pity for such a beauty...

After the woman died, she turned into a wisp of green smoke and dissipated, leaving only a crystal on the ground.

He stepped forward to pick it up, examined it carefully, but did not recognize what it was, so he could only put it into his Storage Pouch for now.

Huan Xier, who had been hiding in the shadows, ran out, exclaiming, "Wow, wow, you... you're amazing!"

As he spoke, his gaze remained fixed on the dark longsword, his eyes showing only curiosity, not greed.

Lin Fan turned his head, "Why are you here?"

"I don't know," Huan Xier was also a bit confused. "I just kept walking around and ended up here."

Lin Fan shook his head, not thinking much of it, and walked towards the door with the longsword. "Let's go. We should be able to get out now."

The two walked straight towards the door.

When he stood at the main door and looked out, his mind went blank.

Looking at the countless lingering spirits on the long street, his raised foot silently lowered again, and he murmured softly, "Where in the world did this thing bring me..."

The dark, dilapidated street in front of him returned to its normal size. Street vendors carried their shoulder poles and hawked their wares, with drops of blood seeping from beneath the poles, occasionally brushing against their clothes as they swayed with each step.

Roadside vendors displayed unknown objects, their hands stained with dark brown grime.

The street was bustling with people, a lively scene. If one ignored their eerie appearances, this place was no different from a regular market.

Huan Xier also stopped joking, standing solemnly to the side, and spoke softly, "This place... doesn't seem to be the Secret Realm from before."

Lin Fan took out his communication stone and sent a message to Xu Sanyan, but received no reply for a long time. He nodded silently, "Yes, we seem to have come to an extraordinary place..."

"What should we do?" Lin Fan was a bit at a loss.

Huan Xier looked at him in surprise, "You're asking me?"

"It's well-known that I'm not very smart..."

At this moment, a vendor carrying a basket stood in front of the door, his bloodshot eyes staring directly at them. A sense of crisis suddenly rose in their hearts.

The vendor slowly pulled back the corners of his mouth, revealing an eerie smile, "Two guests, freshly made hot tofu, would you like some?"

"How much?" Huan Xier blurted out.

The vendor lifted a white cloth, revealing two square blocks of tofu underneath. One was white, no different from ordinary tofu, and the other was blood-red, like congealed pig's blood.

Lin Fan's eyes flickered slightly, and a very low voice came from his ear, "That white tofu is beneficial to me. Find a way to get it."

The vendor's eyes showed a greedy expression, and he pointed to the blood-colored tofu, saying, "Red tofu is two taels of soul, white tofu is three taels of soul."

"Soul?" Lin Fan felt a bad premonition and asked in a deep voice, "How do I give it to you?"

"Hehehe..."

The vendor's greedy expression grew even stronger, his mouth almost stretching to his ears. "I have my ways. Which tofu do the guests want?"

Huan Xier was about to speak when Lin Fan covered his mouth, turned to the vendor, "How many taels of soul do I have?"

"That needs to be weighed to know..."

The vendor took out a small scale from his basket, his tone growing more joyful, and kindly reminded them, "If the guests don't eat anything, they probably won't live more than two days..."
