421: Junior Brother... why is your formation glowing with blood?

Upon hearing this, Xu Sanyan nearly laughed in anger; in all his life, it was the first time he had been morally coerced.

He was being morally coerced!

If his acquaintances knew, they would probably laugh their teeth out. The dignified Demon Sect Saint was being morally coerced by some Mortals?

Xu Sanyan took a deep breath, suppressing the urge to kill them all. At the same time, he comforted himself, "They will all die sooner or later. There's no rush, no rush..."

So he gently waved his sleeve, and the Mortals kneeling before him automatically floated to either side, clearing a path for him. A barrier formed around him, isolating everyone else, and he warned them, "This Saint does not take Disciples. If anyone bothers me again, do not blame this Saint for being impolite!"

"Then why can Liang Gou'er..."

Someone had just opened his mouth, but before he could finish, he saw Xu Sanyan's gaze fall upon him, scaring the man into immediate silence.

"Hmph, must this Saint inform you of his actions?"

Seeing Xu Sanyan's displeased expression, the soldiers at the city gate quickly ran over to disperse the crowd for him. Some, whose resolve was firm and refused to leave, were forcibly dragged away by the soldiers.

The kind are bullied; it has always been so. They saw that Xu Sanyan was easy to talk to, so they wanted to push their luck. If he retreated an inch today, tomorrow someone would force him to retreat a foot.

Once something has rules, people will use the power of those rules to seek personal gain.

Currently, the laws of Gan Country are the rules. Those Mortals were certain that Xu Sanyan wouldn't dare do anything to them, which is why they dared to pressure him so brazenly.

Such a thing would absolutely not happen in the Demon Sect!

Xu Sanyan ignored them and focused on carving the array patterns.

As soon as he started, he noticed the difference. In the past, carving an array pattern would take the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, but now it could be completed in a mere breath, and the array patterns were perfectly round and flawless, even more perfect than before.

The improvement in his Divine Soul power also raised the upper limit of his Dao of arrays, which was truly an unexpected surprise.

At this current speed, he would probably be able to finish carving the array patterns in no time.

"Not bad, not bad!"

A smile appeared on Xu Sanyan's face as he continued carving.

Two days later, the secret realm fruit emitted a faint light, and then a figure dropped out.

"Ouch."

Lin Fan's expression was somewhat flustered and alarmed. It wasn't until he saw Xu Sanyan that he calmed down, letting out a long sigh of relief as his mind relaxed.

"How are things?"

Xu Sanyan asked quietly.

Lin Fan shook his head, "The situation in the Secret Realm is chaotic. My Jade Clan is fighting a neighboring clan, and the battle is in a stalemate. It will likely be difficult to determine a victor in a short time."

"What about the Soul Crystal?"

"Didn't get it."

Lin Fan shook his head in disappointment, "The altar is an important place, and now it's even more heavily guarded. This Disciple tried several times but returned empty-handed."

Xu Sanyan frowned, his tone somewhat exasperated, "Who told you to steal it?"

Couldn't this idiot try a different approach?

"Uh..."

Lin Fan was stunned and blurted out, "Even if I asked them for it, they wouldn't give it to me."

"Sigh..."

Xu Sanyan put a hand to his forehead and sighed. It was a miracle from heaven that someone with this level of intelligence had survived until now.

"You could exchange for it. Soul Crystals are of limited use to them; they are only used to enhance the effect of sacrifices a little. You could exchange them for things they value more, such as weapons, food, clothing, or utensils. Exchange of interests is far more reliable than emotions."

Xu Sanyan taught him, and only then did Lin Fan realize, immediately lowering his head in embarrassment, "This Disciple is foolish."

"Go, negotiate the terms with your Clan Chief."

Xu Sanyan sent him back into the Secret Realm.

Three days later,

Liang Gou'er still hadn't emerged from the Secret Realm. It was unknown whether he was dead or what had happened; there was no news at all.
