1: Chapter 1 The Transmigrator's Dire Situation

Cold.

The bone-chilling cold mixed with the pungent scent of disinfectant, drilling incessantly into his nostrils.

Lynn snapped his eyes open.

His retinas were instantly seared by the glaring shadowless lamp overhead. He subconsciously tried to raise his hand to shield his eyes, but heard a dull "clack" of metal colliding.

His wrists would not move.

Not just his wrists; his ankles, waist, and neck were all tightly secured to a cold, stainless steel operating table by heavy titanium alloy locks.

"Subject 109 has awakened."

"Heart rate 110, blood pressure elevated, adrenaline is being secreted. All vital signs meet the final injection criteria."

The emotionless, mechanical broadcast echoed through the empty room.

Lynn gasped heavily, cold sweat sliding down his forehead and hitting the metal table surface. As his vision gradually focused, he saw the scene around him clearly.

This was an Underground Room laboratory. The walls were thick, blast-proof concrete, and there were no windows. Several researchers in fully enclosed white protective suits were busy in front of their instruments.

The air was filled with a faint scent of blood. Lynn turned his head and saw several metal carts parked in a corner not far away. They were covered with white cloths, from the edges of which dark red blood seeped out. A pale human arm hung limply from beneath the fabric.

Lynn's pupils constricted.

He had been transmigrated to this hellish place for three days.

Three days ago, he was still at home staying up late watching movies. When he woke up, he found himself an Asian vagrant wandering the streets. Before he could even figure out the situation, he received a heavy blow to the back of his neck and lost consciousness completely.

When he woke up again, he was already in this secret Base located a thousand meters beneath Siberia.

Over these three days, he had watched with his own eyes as dozens of people captured in the same batch were taken to this operating table one by one. Then, amidst shrill screams, their genes would collapse, muscles dissolve, and they would turn into puddles of rotten flesh without any vital signs.

Now, it was his turn; he was Number 109.

"My Lord, the mutant serum has been prepared."

A Chief Surgeon holding a vial of serum emitting a faint blue glow turned around respectfully.

Lynn lifted his head with difficulty and looked at a man standing outside the blast-proof glass.

The man wore a crisp black military uniform, a monocle over his right eye, and was bald, with a sinister and cold expression. On his chest, he wore a crimson emblem of a skull with six tentacles sprouting from it.

Baron Strucker.

One of the high-ranking leaders of HYDRA.

The moment he saw that emblem, Lynn's heart sank to the bottom.

He knew where he had transmigrated to—the Marvel Universe. A high-risk World where gods flew everywhere, aliens were as common as stray dogs, and people snapped their fingers to destroy half the Universe at the drop of a hat.

And he, starting out as an ordinary person without any superpowers, had ended up on a HYDRA dissection table.

"Begin."

Outside the blast-proof glass, Baron Strucker's voice was cold and devoid of any ripples. "The 'God Creation Project' cannot be delayed any longer. Those hounds from S.H.I.E.L.D. have been biting very hard lately; we need our own super soldiers. If he fails, go catch the next batch."

"Yes, My Lord."

The Chief Surgeon walked to the operating table and looked down at Lynn. There was no pity in his eyes, only the fanaticism of looking at a lab rat.

"Do not be afraid, Number 109." The Doctor said in a flat tone while expelling air from the syringe. "This is purified, inferior super soldier serum. If you are lucky, you will gain strength beyond human limits and become a perfect weapon for HYDRA. If you are unlucky..."

The Doctor did not continue, merely glancing at the corpse covered by a white cloth in the corner.

"Go to hell, HYDRA." Lynn gritted his teeth, a hoarse curse squeezing from his throat.

He twisted his body frantically, causing the stainless steel operating table to creak under his struggle. The skin on his wrists was abraded by the titanium alloy locks, and blood flowed down the metal surface.

But the strength of an ordinary person was meaningless against machinery.

"Secure his head, prepare for high-voltage electrical pulse stimulation." The Chief Surgeon remained unmoved, issuing the order coldly.

Two strong HYDRA guards stepped forward, pressing down on Lynn's shoulders and head from left and right.

A mechanical arm extended, attaching two electrode patches to Lynn's temples.

"Injection starting."

The cold needle pierced the skin of Lynn's carotid artery.

That vial of faint blue mutant serum was pushed into his bloodstream without reservation.

One second. Two seconds. Silence. Deathly silence.

Suddenly, Lynn's eyes widened, his whites instantly bloodshot!

Pain! An indescribable, excruciating pain exploded instantly from his neck, spreading through his blood vessels to every limb and bone!

It was as if someone had stuffed ten thousand red-hot blades into his blood vessels, which were crazily cutting his internal organs and muscles as his blood flowed.

His heart began to beat violently, so fast it felt like it was about to burst through his chest.

"Ahhh!!" The shrill scream resounded through the laboratory.

Lynn's body arched into a bizarre curve, his muscles expanding, tearing, and reorganizing at a speed visible to the naked eye. His entire body's skin turned bright red, even oozing fine beads of blood.

"Heart rate has exceeded 200! Cellular telomeres are breaking!" the researcher in front of the instruments reported loudly.

"Increase the voltage! Stabilize his gene chain!" The Chief Surgeon broke into a sweat, staring fixedly at the data screen.

"Zzzzz—" High-voltage current surged into Lynn's brain through the electrodes on his temples.

But this did not alleviate the trend of genetic collapse; instead, it multiplied the pain.

Lynn felt his consciousness being torn apart. His vision began to blur, and the mechanical sounds and the shouting of the researchers gradually faded away.

Is this what death feels like? What a shame... After transmigrating, I haven't even enjoyed a single day of freedom, and now I'm going to die in this dark Underground Room, becoming a pile of trash for HYDRA.

No... I don't want to die!

Just at the moment when Lynn's heartbeat was about to stop completely and his vital signs were approaching the zero point.

[Ding!]

An extremely abrupt, cold voice sounded in Lynn's fading mind without any warning.

It was not the laboratory's broadcast, but sounded directly in the depths of his soul.

[Host's vital signs detected at the limit, genetic sequence collapsing...]

[Unknown dimensional biological weapon forcibly connecting...]

[Protocol overriding.]

Lynn's unfocused pupils constricted sharply.

Immediately after, his left wrist, which had been worn raw and bloody, suddenly erupted with a heart-stopping red light.

That was not the light of the instruments.

It was pure, tyrannical, and seemingly capable of devouring everything... crimson!

"What is that!?"

The nearest Chief Surgeon was the first to notice the abnormality and retreated a step in horror.

He saw that on Lynn's originally bare left wrist, the flesh was actually curling open automatically.

Strands of dark red metal threads, resembling biological blood vessels, were forcefully "growing" out from his bone marrow and flesh, intertwining and weaving together at a speed visible to the naked eye.

A strange watch, covered in crimson patterns and engraved with an inverted triangle symbol, was taking shape within Lynn's flesh.

[Binding successful.]

[System self-check: Bloodtrix (Bloodtrix) activated.]

[Low-grade genetic energy (inferior super soldier serum) detected; beginning absorption and conversion into initial startup energy...]

Tick—tock.

The laboratory's shadowless lamp began to flicker wildly.

On the crimson dial with an inverted cross, the first glint of bloodthirsty light ignited.
