36: Chapter 36 Extracting Divine Blood, the Avengers' Initial Assembly
Stuttgart, the ruins of the bank vault.
The thick alloy door was completely twisted and deformed. Thor, the God of Thunder, was embedded deep within the reinforced concrete wall, the silver scale armor covering his body largely melted.
He panted heavily, blood gushing from his nostrils. That proud Mjolnir lay in the rubble a few meters away, its glow dim.
The point-blank pulse of ten million volts of plasma just now had completely shattered his proud Asgardian divine physical defense.
The sound of footsteps echoed.
Lynn had already deactivated his [Energy-Absorbing Demon Stone] form. Wearing a spotless black shirt, he stepped over the broken bricks scattered across the floor and walked into the dilapidated vault.
Thor gritted his teeth, attempting to raise his hand to reach for the hammer.
"Bang."
Lynn raised his right foot and stepped heavily on Thor's chest, pinning him back into the wall.
"Don't move."
Lynn looked down at the Crown Prince of Asgard, his voice cold. "If your muscles are too tense, the blood vessel will be pulled out of alignment."
As his voice fell...
The crimson blood watch on Lynn's left wrist lit up with a blinding red light. Over a dozen dark red bio-metallic threads, like precise scalpels, instantly pierced the skin of Thor's neck and plunged into his thick carotid artery.
"Ugh—!"
Thor let out a low growl of pain. He felt the most fundamental power and blood within his body being frantically plundered by an extremely savage suction.
[Target locked.]
[Beginning extraction: Asgardian Royal Gene (High Purity).]
A cold, mechanical voice echoed in Lynn's mind. An extremely violent and vibrant heat flowed along the Bloodtrix into Lynn's limbs and bones.
This level of pure divine gene was far more powerful than any mutant he had absorbed before.
While Lynn was concentrated on "feeding"...
"Rumble—"
A low engine roar came from the sky.
A streamlined black quinjet tore through the clouds and hovered over King's Square.
"Swoosh!"
A gold-and-red armored figure was the first to fly down from the jet. With foot thrusters emitting white-blue exhaust flames, Iron Man Tony Stark landed steadily in the middle of the devastated square.
Immediately after, the quinjet's hatch opened.
Black Widow Natasha, wearing a black tight-fitting combat suit, and Steve Rogers, wearing his star-spangled uniform, quickly rappelled down from the cabin to the ground.
Steve did not have his iconic Vibranium shield. On his thick arms, he wore extremely heavy S.H.I.E.L.D. custom metal medical braces, fixing his arms firmly in front of his chest.
The core members of the Avengers had completed their first assembly at this moment.
"Jarvis, scan for life signs. Where is Loki?" Tony raised his right hand, his palm repulsor beginning to charge.
"Sir. Ten meters straight ahead," the AI butler Jarvis reported.
Tony followed the guidance of his HUD.
When he saw the heap of things on the ground, the charging light of his palm repulsor flickered violently.
"Old Popsicle, are you sure this is the extremely dangerous alien evil god Nick Fury was talking about?"
Tony turned his head to look at Steve behind him, his voice filled with disbelief.
Steve and Natasha saw it too.
Loki was sprawled on the ground like a dead dog, his proud Asgardian armor covered in dust. His face was severely collapsed and deformed, bleeding from his facial orifices, his eyes rolled back, and he was barely breathing.
How was this an evil god come to destroy the World? This was clearly a hit-and-run scene where someone had been run over ten times by a heavy truck!
"Who did that?" Steve's brow furrowed.
Just then, Natasha's gaze moved past Loki, looking toward the ruins of the buildings smashed through at the back of the square.
When she clearly saw the black-haired figure standing in the vault ruins, this top Agent from the Red Room felt her muscles instantly tense to the limit.
"It's him..."
Natasha's voice carried a rare hint of trembling. "The leader of the Crimson Court, Lynn."
Hearing this, Steve followed Natasha's gaze.
He saw Lynn, as well as another burly man (Thor) being stepped on by Lynn and having his blood extracted.
Steve felt a faint phantom pain from his unhealed arms. That demon who had broken both his arms with a single punch on the top floor of a New York skyscraper was actually here!
"Who's the guy in the red cape getting his blood drawn? Loki's helper?" Tony asked from within his armor.
"Jarvis just compared the energy fluctuations. That red-caped man's energy level is twice as high as Loki's. But right now... he has no way to fight back."
A chill rose in the hearts of all three simultaneously.
They had received the highest orders from S.H.I.E.L.D. to assemble all forces to stop an alien god invasion.
As it turned out, when they arrived at the scene, they found that one of the so-called invaders was lying on the ground bleeding, while the other with an even higher energy level was being stepped on like a blood bag by the underground tyrant of New York.
"Lynn!"
Steve suppressed the shock in his heart, took a large step forward, and stared at Lynn in the ruins, shouting sternly, "Stop your atrocities immediately! Let him go!"
Lynn acted as if he hadn't heard Steve's voice.
Until the Bloodtrix emitted a crisp "beep."
[Extraction complete.]
[Asgardian Royal Gene collection rate: 100%. Stored in backup gene bank.]
Lynn retracted the biological threads and casually ground his toe into Thor's chest. Thor let out a muffled groan and completely passed out.
Lynn turned around, his black eyes indifferently scanning the three Avengers standing ready. His gaze lingered for a second on the metal braces on Steve's arms, and a mocking smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
"Has S.H.I.E.L.D. run out of people? Sending a cripple to negotiate terms with me?"
Steve's face turned ashen, yet he could not refute.
Lynn bent down and picked up the scepter embedded with the yellow Mind Stone from the ground.
"Put that thing down!"
Tony raised his right hand, his palm repulsor locking onto Lynn. "Mister, I don't care which god you are. That thing doesn't belong to you."
Lynn glanced at Tony's iron armor.
"Tin toy."
Lynn ignored Tony's warning, carrying the scepter as he strode over to the half-dead Loki.
"Bang!"
Lynn kicked Loki in the waist like he was kicking a bag of trash.
Loki's body slid over a dozen meters across the ground, stopping right at the feet of Steve and Tony.
"I saved the World while I was at it. The spoils belong to me."
Lynn held the Mind Stone scepter, looking indifferently at the Avengers before him.
"You can have this trash to report back with."
"The scepter, I'm taking."
