85: Chapter 85 Peeking at the End of Time

The sky turned completely dark.

The Sanctuary II, a pitch-black flagship so massive its end was nowhere in sight, arrogantly forced its way into Earth's atmosphere and hovered silently above Manhattan, New York.

The gravitational field was disrupted, and car alarms on the streets blared frantically. The entire city fell into a deathly silence and extreme panic.

Inside the Sanctum hall.

Sorcerer Supreme Stephen Strange slumped on the floor, the eye of agamotto on his chest still emitting a faint green light.

His hands trembled violently out of control, and cold sweat soaked his robes.

“Stephen, stand up!”

Wong grabbed him and hauled him up from the floor, asking urgently, “You used the Time Stone to look at the future fourteen million times. Is there really not even a single chance of winning? Not even one in ten million?!”

Around them, over a hundred Mystic Arts sorcerers who had been urgently teleported from Kamar-Taj all stared fixedly at Doctor Strange, their eyes filled with a final sliver of hope.

“No...”

Strange's eyes were hollow, and his voice was as raspy as two pieces of sandpaper rubbing together.

“Fourteen million, six hundred and five times. Every single one was a dead end.”

Strange closed his eyes, his mind filled with the bloody images he had seen in the river of time.

“In the prediction with the highest chance of success, we exhausted all means, using space magic to draw him away from Earth to the ruins of the abandoned Titan for a final showdown.”

Strange's lips were trembling. “We gathered the Avengers, all the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, the armies of Wakanda... even mercenaries from space there.”

“And then?” Wong pressed anxiously.

“And then... he didn't even move a finger.”

Strange gave a bitter laugh. “He didn't even touch that watch dial that can transform into alien monsters. He just sat on a meteorite and watched us charge.”

“The woman in the dark red trench coat beside him wiped out all the armies with a wave of her hand, summoning a rain of dark red swords. Captain Marvel... that goddess of war who was supposed to protect the Universe, charged into our formation like a rabid dog, smashing Tony's armor and flesh into a pulp.”

The hall fell into a dead silence. All the sorcerers felt a chill rush from the soles of their feet to the crowns of their heads.

“I tried to trap him in a time loop using the Time Stone.”

Strange looked up in despair. “But he just gave me a look. The power of the five stones on him resonated instantly, crushing the laws of time directly from a physical and reality level!”

“In every future, there is only one outcome for him.”

Strange looked out the window at the interstellar flagship that blotted out the sky.

“Absolute rule. All things in the Universe are but his food.”

“Boom!”

Just as Strange finished speaking, the dome of the New York Sanctum shook violently.

An extremely pure and violent pressure, mixed with the five underlying laws of the Universe, slammed into the New York Sanctum's magical defense network like a physical hammer!

“Crack, crack, crack...”

The Sanctum's defensive barrier, passed down for centuries, couldn't even last a second against this pressure, as dense cracks instantly exploded across it.

“He's locked onto the Time Stone!”

Wong roared, his hands snapping open. “Everyone! Form the array! Activate Kamar-Taj's ultimate defense—the Shield of the Vishanti!”

“Vwoom—!”

Over a hundred Mystic Arts sorcerers simultaneously channeled the magic within their bodies.

A massive composite magic circle emitting a piercing golden light instantly soared into the sky, centered on the New York Sanctum, like an inverted golden bowl protecting the entire block.

This was Kamar-Taj's trump card for survival, an absolute magical barrier said to be capable of withstanding celestial-level impacts.

But at this moment, not a single sorcerer showed any sense of security on their face.

...

Sanctuary II, flagship hatch.

Lynn stood hundreds of meters in the air, looking down at the glowing golden magic circle below.

Hela, Carol, Wanda, and Proxima Midnight, four figures of immense pressure, hovered quietly behind him.

“A magical barrier?”

Lynn looked at the Shield of the Vishanti below, a mocking sneer tugging at the corner of his mouth.

“Master.”

Wanda, wearing her dark red trench coat, took a step forward, the red light of Chaos Magic flickering in her eyes.

After having her underlying logic modified by Lynn, she now only wanted to sweep away all obstacles for him.

“Such a crude magic circle is not worthy of dirtying your hands. Please allow me to tear it apart with Chaos Magic.”

Lynn raised his hand slightly, stopping Wanda.

“No need.”

A flash of violence crossed Lynn's pitch-black eyes. “To deal with these sorcerers who love parlor tricks, using magic to defeat magic would be giving them too much face.”

“I will use the purest physical violence to crush the mysticism they take pride in, along with their dignity, into powder.”

Lynn's foot slammed down on the void.

“Bang!”

A white sonic boom cloud exploded in the air.

Without even switching forms, Lynn used his human body, falling like a black meteor carrying the absolute mass of the five Infinity Stones within him, crashing straight into the Shield of the Vishanti below!

Below.

Strange and Wong watched Lynn descending from the sky, their eyes nearly splitting with strain.

“Hold on! Pour all your magic into it!” Strange roared.

The golden magic shield instantly brightened to its limit, like an indestructible wall of the gods.

However.

The moment Lynn's boot firmly stepped onto that golden shield.

“DONG—!!!”

A terrifying boom, like the sound of a massive bell, instantly tore through the air of New York City!

Lynn didn't use the Power Stone, and he didn't use magic.

He simply relied on the absolute density of his normal physical body, which surpassed the limits of celestial bodies, and stomped down hard!

“Crack... Crack...”

Before Strange's horrified eyes.

The Shield of the Vishanti, which was said to be able to withstand celestial impacts and was maintained by over a hundred elite sorcerers, was like a piece of low-quality glass being crushed by a thousand-ton hydraulic press.

Centering on Lynn's point of impact, countless shocking cracks spread frantically!

“Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!”

The sorcerers at the core of the array were hit as if by lightning, all of them spitting out a mouthful of blood as the magic circuits in their bodies were instantly shattered by this unreasonable physical impact.

“Too fragile.”

Lynn stood on the crack-covered golden shield, looking down at the terrified Doctor Strange.

“You thought this turtle shell could stop me from coming to take the stone?”

Lynn slowly raised his right foot, an extreme coldness flashing in his black eyes.

Then, he stomped down heavily!

“Shatter!”

“BOOM—!!!”
