110: Chapter 110 The Black and White Shadow Universe! High-Dimensional Magic and Encirclement
Riiiip.
A dark red spatial rift opened in a dark, damp alley.
The moment Lynn and his group stepped out of the rift, the surrounding World seemed to have all its color drained away.
No blue sky, no traffic lights.
The entire World was left with only three colors: black, white, and gray. A cold, drizzling rain fell from the sky, vintage 1930s Ford sedans drove on the distant streets, and the air was thick with the scent of cheap cigars and gunpowder.
Earth-90214. The black-and-white Universe of Shadow Spider-Man.
"Whoa, the color palette here is really depressing."
Hobie Brown, carrying that high-dimensional electric guitar, followed swaggeringly behind Lynn.
This rebellious Spider-Punk, after witnessing Lynn's feat of easily blowing up the Society's surveillance network, felt that following this young man in the black trench coat was much more interesting than smashing cars in his own Universe. Thus, he shamelessly tagged along as a "tour guide."
Lynn didn't refuse. Having two more jokers in the team added quite a bit of fun to this boring journey.
Gwen looked curiously at her own suit, which was originally a mix of dark red and black, but had now turned into pure black and white here.
"Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat!"
Just then, a burst of intense submachine gun fire suddenly came from deep within the alley.
"Freeze! You damn bug!"
Accompanied by the roar of a mobster.
A burly figure wearing a 1930s black trench coat, goggles, and a fedora tumbled down from a derelict fire escape in a very disheveled manner, slamming heavily into a puddle.
Shadow Spider-Man, Peter Parker.
He had just stolen a ledger from the secret warehouse of the mob boss Tombstone and was now being pinned down in a dead end by over a dozen mob hitmen armed with Thompson submachine guns.
"Dammit, my web-shooters are jammed." Shadow Spider-Man slapped his wrist and cursed under his breath, then pulled a revolver from his trench coat.
"Turn him into Swiss cheese!"
Over a dozen mob hitmen grinned as they raised their submachine guns, about to pull the triggers.
"So noisy."
Standing at the mouth of the alley, Lynn frowned slightly. With his right hand in his pocket, he casually snapped his fingers with his left.
Snap.
The crisp sound of the snap was exceptionally clear in the rainy night.
A bizarre scene unfolded.
"Rat-tat... gah?"
The dozen or so mob hitmen were just about to open fire when they suddenly realized the weight in their hands felt wrong.
They looked down.
The cold Thompson submachine guns, originally loaded with brass bullets, had instantly turned into hard baguettes!
The magazines had become sausages, and the barrels had become crusty bread.
"What... what kind of trick is this?" The lead mobster was dazed, squeezing the baguette in his hand, which even dropped some breadcrumbs.
Shadow Spider-Man, hiding behind a trash can, was also stunned. He rubbed his goggles, completely unable to comprehend the physical phenomenon before him.
"Now, get out of my sight."
Lynn's pitch-black eyes swept over the group of mobsters.
An indescribable, terrifying pressure, as if facing the abyss of the Universe, instantly slammed into the mental defenses of these ordinary people.
Clang!
The dozen or so hitmen were scared out of their wits. They dropped the bread, scrambled out of the alley, and didn't even dare to look back.
"Thanks for the help, friend. Which circus are you a magician from?"
Shadow Spider-Man climbed up from the ground, patted the muddy water off his trench coat, and sized up Lynn's group with caution and confusion.
When he saw Gwen and Hobie, his brow twitched slightly under his hood: "Spider-Men from other Universes? What are you doing in my territory? Is the Society's machine broken again?"
"We aren't those boring lackeys from the Society." Hobie plucked a string and grinned.
Lynn looked at the gritty black-and-white Spider-Man in front of him, materialized something from space, and tossed it over.
"Catch."
Shadow Spider-Man caught it instinctively.
It was a Tesseract. But in his black-and-white vision, it was just a cube with different shades of gray.
"What's this? Some kind of complex combination lock?" Shadow Spider-Man gave it a couple of hard twists.
"It's called a Tesseract. When your Universe regains its color, you'll naturally see how beautiful it is," Lynn said indifferently.
"Color?" Shadow Spider-Man was stunned.
Just then.
"Hum! Hum! Hum!"
The sky of the black-and-white Universe was suddenly torn apart by an extremely piercing orange-yellow light!
This light completely ignored the black-and-white physical laws of Earth-90214, illuminating the entire dark rainy night as bright as day.
"Rumble—!"
In the sky, dozens of massive hexagonal spatial portals opened simultaneously.
Then, like a dense downpour.
One, ten, a hundred!
Over two hundred Multiverse Spider-Men, wearing various suits and in different forms, descended from the portals, surrounding the alley where Lynn and the others were, along with several surrounding blocks, making it impenetrable!
On the surrounding rooftops, streetlights, and fire escapes, the shadows of Spider-Men were everywhere.
There was even a ten-meter-tall heavy mechanical Spider-Armor that crashed down at the alley entrance, blocking all escape routes.
"Executing highest-level warrant."
A muscular Spider-Man wearing a red hooded vest and a tattered suit descended from the sky.
Scarlet Spider, Ben Reilly. He crossed his arms, striking an extremely melancholy and explosive pose.
Lynn, unknown variant. Your game is over.
Scarlet Spider stared coldly at Lynn, then looked at Gwen and Hobie: "Gwen, Hobie. Miguel has given you one last chance. Leave that criminal now, or you will be deemed traitors to the Multiverse and eliminated on the spot."
Looking at the massive army of Spider-Men surrounding them.
Shadow Spider-Man gripped his revolver, dark red web-stinger blades popped from Gwen's wrists, and Hobie excitedly hugged his electric guitar.
The atmosphere was tense, the air seemingly frozen.
However.
Lynn, at the very center of the encirclement, didn't even change his expression.
He slowly pulled his hands out of his trench coat pockets and cracked his neck, his bones making a series of sounds like muffled thunder.
"You only sent this many people?"
Lynn's pitch-black eyes scanned the surroundings, looking at the hundreds of Spider-Men standing ready.
"Is that coward Miguel underestimating me too much?"
