20: Chapter 20 Crimson Diamond War God!
"Click."
Lynn's right hand slapped heavily onto the dark gold Bloodtrix on his chest.
A blinding crimson light erupted once more, instantly swallowing the nuclear flames on the surface of Lynn's body.
Accompanied by a burst of extremely dense, ear-piercing sounds of mineral crystallization, Lynn's dark black rocky body began to undergo a violent restructuring.
[Command Recognition: Form Switch.]
[Fourth Alien Gene Bank, Unlocked!]
The red light dissipated.
A humanoid creature, two and a half meters tall and composed entirely of dark red translucent crystals, stepped onto the vitrified street.
His body presented aggressive, streamlined angles without any rounded curves; sharp, peerless giant crystal spikes grew from every inch of his joints, shoulders, and back.
Under the reflection of lightning, this body, composed of an unknown high-density alien crystal, refracted a chilling abyssal blood-light.
[Alien Gene Activation: Diamondhead (Abyssal Variant)!]
"Roar—!"
The ten-meter-tall Ancient Demon let out a deafening roar. Sensing the provocation from the "red stone" before it, it opened its fanged maw, and a pillar of dark red Hellfire over two meters in diameter blasted out, instantly engulfing Lynn!
Madame Gao, on the rooftop, stared fixedly below.
Hellfire could not only burn the flesh but also incinerate the soul; it was a magical fire belonging to the laws of the Abyss.
However.
The pillar of fire lasted for a full five seconds before gradually subsiding.
In the center of the street, that dark red crystalline demon god remained motionless.
The high temperature and magical erosion of the Hellfire were directly refracted and deflected by the perfect polyhedral structures upon contact with the abyssal crystals on Lynn's body. The vitrified ground beneath Lynn's feet was melted a second time into magma, but the crystals on his body didn't have a single crack; they even became more brilliant!
"Magical fire? The temperature is too low."
Lynn's voice resonated within his crystalline chest, as ear-piercing as a blade scraping against glass.
The demon was enraged.
It raised its five-meter-long, magma-burning giant claw and, with the force of ten thousand tons, slammed it down hard toward the top of Lynn's head!
This strike was enough to flatten a heavy main battle tank into a disc.
Lynn did not dodge.
He slowly raised his right arm, fingers spread wide, and met the giant demonic claw above his head head-on.
"Boom—!!!"
The moment the giant claw collided with the crystalline palm, an earth-shattering explosion erupted.
The ground beneath Lynn's feet instantly collapsed into a deep pit over ten meters in diameter. The violent shockwave sent the surrounding molten iron and asphalt flying dozens of meters into the air.
But Lynn's arm did not bend in the slightest.
That ancient giant force, enough to crush a tank, was perfectly borne by his crystalline skeleton, which boasted a hardness comparable to Vibranium!
"Big size, but too little strength."
Lynn looked up; there were no features on his dark red crystalline face, only two violent beams of red light.
He flicked his left arm violently.
"Crack!"
Amidst a series of crystallization sounds, his left forearm instantly extended and transformed at high speed, turning into a dark red crystalline greatsword two meters long and as wide as a door panel!
"Swish!"
Lynn swung the crystalline greatsword from bottom to top, viciously slashing at the demon's pressing wrist.
"Puchi!"
Like a hot knife through butter.
The demon's proud magical scales and tough muscles offered no defense against the sharp edge of the abyssal crystals. The giant demon hand was severed at the wrist!
The demon let out a shrill scream as scalding green demonic blood gushed from the wound.
"It's not over yet."
Lynn's right arm instantly transformed into a hollow crystalline cannon barrel.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Dozens of diamond-shaped, dark red armor-piercing explosive crystals were blasted from Lynn's right arm like a shotgun, accurately embedding themselves into the demon's massive face and chest.
"Boom boom boom!"
The crystals detonated instantly after piercing the demon's body, blowing open massive blood holes. The demon was blasted backward by the immense kinetic energy, its huge body swaying precariously.
Lynn slightly bent his legs, and the crystals at the soles of his feet instantly grew into the ground.
"Bang!"
Two thick crystal pillars suddenly rose from the ground, acting like a catapult to launch Lynn's two-and-a-half-meter body directly into the air!
In mid-air, Lynn brought his arms together, transforming them into a four-meter-long giant crystalline piercing spear.
Using gravitational potential energy, he turned into a dark red meteor, plunging straight toward the demon's broad chest.
"Puchi—!"
The four-meter-long crystalline spear pierced through the demon's sternum without obstruction, accurately impaling that massive, beating magical heart!
The demon's entire body stiffened, and its shrill roar came to an abrupt halt.
"Now, try my magic."
Lynn hung in mid-air, the arms impaled in the demon's heart suddenly erupting with blinding red light.
[Crystal Assimilation, Activated.]
The next second.
Centered around Lynn's arms, countless dark red crystal clusters grew and spread wildly inside the demon's body!
"Kaka kaka—!"
The demon's blood vessels, internal organs, and bones were instantly pierced and assimilated by those savagely growing crystals. Within a few short seconds, this ten-meter-tall Ancient Demon turned into a massive dark red crystal statue exuding the aura of death.
"Shatter."
Lynn withdrew his arms.
"Clatter—!"
A burst of dense, brittle sounds.
The ten-meter-high demon crystal statue collapsed with a crash, turning into a sky full of fine dark red ice crystals scattered in the rainy Manhattan night.
Instant kill.
On the rooftop.
Madame Gao's face was as pale as paper, her whole body shaking like a sieve.
The ancient master she had summoned at the cost of her lifespan and soul hadn't even lasted a minute before this monster, turning into a pile of broken glass!
Escape! She had to escape!
Ignoring her severe injuries from the backlash, Madame Gao turned, wanting to activate a secret technique to flee.
"Whoosh—!"
An extremely sharp sound of breaking air came from below.
Madame Gao lowered her head, looking at her chest in disbelief.
A dark red crystalline javelin, two meters long, was accurately fired from the street below, directly piercing through her heart and carrying her withered body backward, pinning her firmly to the rooftop water tank.
Madame Gao, leader of the veteran Marvel underworld magical organization The Hand, was dead.
On the street.
Lynn retracted his right hand that had thrown the javelin.
The dark red crystals on his body quickly retracted and faded. He returned to his human form, wearing a black shirt.
After two consecutive full-power form switches and battles, the Bloodtrix entered a cooldown state once more.
But Lynn's breathing remained steady. Because tonight's battle, rather than a hard-fought struggle, was more of a one-sided crushing test.
"Screech—!"
A harsh sound of brakes rang out at the street corner.
A pitch-black Ford Raptor armored vehicle, heavily modified for bulletproofing, rolled over the broken glass on the ground and stopped beside Lynn.
The car window rolled down.
In the driver's seat, Frank Castle looked at the ground—the gasified and vitrified street, and those scattered demon crystal fragments—and expressionlessly pushed open the passenger door.
"I saw the light of a nuclear explosion from three blocks away, as well as this ten-meter-tall monster."
Frank looked at Lynn, who sat in the passenger seat. "I originally thought you needed fire support."
"It was they who needed support."
Lynn leaned back in his seat, glanced at the rain outside the window, a cold killing intent flashing in his eyes.
"Let's go."
"Where to?" Frank shifted into gear.
"Fisk Tower."
Lynn cracked his neck, his bones making a crisp popping sound. "Enough people have died tonight; one more in Kingpin won't hurt. It's time for New York's underworld to have a single, new emperor."
"Vroom—!"
The Ford Raptor let out a roar, like a black Beast, tearing through the rainy Manhattan night and heading straight for Kingpin's stronghold.
