107: Chapter 107 Rewriting Fate! Turning a Fatal Plane Crash into a Sky Balloon

The Spot watched as Lynn crushed the spatial black hole with two fingers; he felt as if his strength had been drained, stumbling backward repeatedly.

"You... what on earth are you?!"

Extreme fear made him forget all about the ATM; he frantically opened a black hole beneath his feet and fell right in, fleeing in panic.

Lynn did not stop him.

He still had a use for this hole-digging dalmatian; the guy could stir up more chaos in that "Web of Destiny" later, which was exactly the kind of fun Lynn wanted to see.

Lynn turned his head and looked at Miles, who was still hanging in mid-air.

"Anomaly? Me? What do you mean?"

Miles released his web and landed gracefully on the street, the large white eyes on his mask filled with deep confusion.

In that moment, his Spider-Sense hadn't even given him a warning about Lynn. It was as if the young man in black simply didn't exist within the common logic of this Universe.

"Literally. In the so-called script of this Universe, the spider that bit you wasn't supposed to bite you."

Lynn stood with his hands in his pockets, looking at Miles with a meaningful smirk.

"You are an accident, an error not permitted by the rules. However..."

Lynn paused. "I just love seeing rules being broken. Try your best to stay alive, little spider. We'll meet again soon."

His voice trailed off.

Suddenly, the crimson blood watch on Lynn's left wrist emitted a faint, high-frequency vibration.

In Lynn's dimensional perception—which was fused with the six Infinity Stones—a single thread in the "web of life and destiny" that spanned countless Universes suddenly tightened, emitting a blinding red light.

"Strong fluctuations in the law of causality."

Lynn looked up, his gaze seemingly piercing through the crystal wall of Earth-1610 to see another parallel dimension.

"A so-called 'Fate Node' is being forcibly converged."

"Hela, Carol."

Lynn snapped his fingers, and a dark red spatial rift tore open beside him.

"Come, let's go visit the neighbors. We'll watch a tragedy and, while we're at it... crash the party."

Before Miles could ask for clarification, Lynn and several cold, beautiful maids had already stepped into the rift and vanished without a trace.

...

Earth-65.

This was a Universe where the sky always appeared in a beautiful watercolor style. All colors seemed to be applied with a brush, bleeding and blending with emotional shifts.

But at this moment, the colors in downtown New York City were an extremely oppressive gray.

"Rumble—!"

An out-of-control Police attack helicopter, its tail billowing thick smoke like a falling steel beast, was crashing violently toward the overpass below.

On the bridge, a middle-aged man in a Police uniform was covering the evacuation of civilians.

He was the New York Police Director, George Stacy.

"No! Dad!"

In mid-air, a slender figure wearing a white suit with black patterns and a hood was swinging frantically toward them on a web.

Spider-Gwen.

Beneath Gwen's mask, her eyes were bloodshot. She exerted all her strength to fire two incredibly thick webs, firmly sticking to the falling helicopter in an attempt to pull it back with her superhuman strength.

"Creeeeak—!"

The webs stretched taut, and the helicopter barely came to a halt less than ten meters above Director George's head.

"Gwen?" Director George looked up at the Spider-Woman in shock.

However, in the underlying rules of this Universe, George Stacy, as a close relative of Spider-Man, dying an unnatural death today was a [Absolute Fate] (Canon Event) necessary to maintain the stability of this Universe.

Fate was not allowed to be forcibly changed.

"Snap! Snap!"

No matter how tough the webs Gwen fired were, under the forced interference of the law of causality, the load-bearing structure of the webs underwent an incredibly eerie fracture!

Both webs snapped at the same time!

"No!!!"

Gwen let out a heart-wrenching scream.

The tens of tons of helicopter, carrying terrifying momentum, crashed down toward Director George once again. The distance was too close, the angle too steep; Gwen had no time for a second rescue.

She could only watch helplessly as the tragedy unfolded.

At this critical moment...

"Riiip."

In the air above the overpass, a dark red spatial rift suddenly tore open.

A young man in a black trench coat, hands in his pockets, stepped out of the rift as if taking a leisurely stroll.

Facing the steel helicopter that was about to crush someone into pulp...

Lynn didn't even spare it a glance.

He simply raised his right hand with utter nonchalance and snapped his fingers crisply in mid-air.

"Snap."

The sound of the snap wasn't loud, yet it eerily drowned out the roar of the helicopter engine.

Beneath the skin of Lynn's hand, a dark red glow representing the laws of reality rippled out like water, sweeping directly over the falling helicopter!

An incredibly shocking and absurd scene occurred!

In Gwen's despairing gaze...

That fatal helicopter, weighing tens of tons and made of steel and alloy...

Just half a meter above Director George's head...

With a soft "pop"...

There was no explosion, no flames.

The entire helicopter unexpectedly turned into a massive pile of colorful watercolor balloons without any warning! Even the frantically spinning rotors turned into a long string of colorful bubbles dancing in the wind!

"Pop! Pop! Pop!"

Balloons and bubbles filled the sky, gently hitting Director George's head and shoulders before bouncing off.

There was no death, no blood.

Only a ridiculous rain of balloons.

Dead silence.

A deathly silence fell over the overpass.

Director George blankly touched the small pink balloon that had hit his face, his brain completely short-circuiting.

Gwen, still in mid-air, was frozen in place, forgetting even to retract her web. She looked at the balloons filling the sky and then at the young man in black standing in the void, feeling as though her worldview was being crushed into the ground.

"Fate?"

Lynn looked down.

"The people I don't want dead—even if Marvel's writers showed up, they couldn't take them away."

Lynn turned his head, his pitch-black eyes looking at the still-shaken Spider-Gwen in mid-air.

"Nice figure, little spider."

"Would you consider switching bosses?"

...

At the same time.

Earth-928, Spider-Society Headquarters.

Inside the massive data hub, the originally deep blue holographic screens suddenly turned a blinding crimson all at once!

Piercing alarms echoed throughout the entire Society Base.

"Alert! Alert!"

"Irreversible logical collapse detected on Earth-65!"

"[Absolute Fate Node]... forcibly destroyed!"

A burly man in a red and blue suit rushed to the main console. Spider-Man 2099, Miguel OHara.

He looked at the "Fate Rewritten" data displayed on the screen, so angry he nearly ground his teeth to dust.

"Who?! Who dares to interfere with the operation of the web of life?!"
