115: Chapter 115 Finally connected to the internet
"I'll count to three."
Lynn's voice wasn't loud, yet it struck Morlun's taut nerves with absolute clarity: "Three."
There were no counts of one or two at all.
Morlun's shriveled eyeballs bulged violently as his survival instinct completely crushed the arrogance inherent to the Inheritors. Using the last of his strength, he crushed a dark red crystal hidden deep within his left palm.
Crack!
The moment the crystal shattered, a blood-scented gale swirled up from the ground!
The space above the hall distorted violently, as if being torn apart by a pair of invisible hands. A crimson cross-dimensional portal roared open.
Immediately after, a suffocatingly terrifying pressure poured down like a physical swamp.
"Who dares to injure my son like this?"
A low, raspy voice carrying absolute authority emanated from the rift.
A burly white-haired old man wearing ornate, vintage robes stepped slowly out of the rift. Behind him, the remaining members of the Inheritors family—Daimons, Brix, Verna, and others—filed out like a pack of wolves smelling blood.
The patriarch of the Inheritors, Solus!
The moment he appeared, Miguel's pupils shrank, and his breathing even came to a standstill.
Miles was trembling all over; it was an absolute suppression originating from the deep genetic roots of the spider-totem.
Solus, the old monster who had once crushed Captain Universe (a Spider-Man variant with the power of a cosmic god) with his bare hands, was truly at the top of the Multiverse food chain.
Solus looked down and scanned the hall. To him, the thousands of Spider-Men were like cheap snacks laid out on a dinner table. Finally, his gaze fell upon Morlun, who was being pinned under Lynn's foot.
"Useless trash," Solus spat coldly before looking at Lynn. "Let him go. Then, offer up your essence, and I might grant you a quick death."
He didn't ask who Lynn was, nor did he ask what methods Lynn had used.
Having lived for countless eons and devoured the energy of countless Universes, Solus had the capital for such arrogance.
"Too slow."
Facing Solus's judgment, Lynn merely yawned in boredom and casually kicked Morlun away like a soccer ball into a corner.
He looked up, a hint of crimson mockery flashing in his pitch-black eyes.
"However, since everyone is here, it saves me the trouble of knocking on doors Universe by Universe." Lynn slowly rolled up his sleeves, revealing the dark red mechanical watch on his left wrist.
"Arrogant insect!"
The hot-tempered Daimons roared, his legs exerting sudden force. The hard alloy floor was instantly crushed into two large pits as he launched himself like a cannonball straight for Lynn's head!
The pure physical strength of an Inheritor, enough to tear apart a starship in a vacuum, erupted without reservation at this moment.
Lynn didn't even lift an eyelid, simply uttering two words.
"Clearance."
Before his voice could fade.
From the shadows behind Lynn, a streak of dark golden light soared into the sky!
Bang!
A deafening sonic boom exploded.
Daimons' massive body jerked to a halt in mid-air, as if he had slammed into an immovable supernova.
As the blinding light dissipated, Captain Marvel Carol hovered in the air. She wore a black and red tight-fitting combat suit, with crimson data streams flickering in her eyes.
Her right hand firmly gripped Daimons' face. No matter how frantically he struggled or how much power he unleashed, that hand remained as motionless as an Infinity Stone.
"A mere blood-sucking worm that only knows how to eat spiders—who gave you the courage to look directly at the Master?"
Carol's voice was cold, mechanical, and ruthless. The violent energy of her Binary state instantly poured through her arm into Daimons' body.
Boom!
There was no blood splatter; Daimons' head and upper body were instantly vaporized under the direct blast of million-degree thermal energy!
A headless corpse crashed heavily in front of Solus.
The entire venue fell into deathly silence.
Even the previously haughty Solus had his eyes twitch violently. His son, of whom he was so proud, hadn't even withstood a single move from one of the opponent's subordinates?
"That's it?"
Accompanied by a disdainful snort, Hela stepped out from Lynn's left with her long legs. She twirled the night sky sword in her hand, the laws of death swirling around the blade causing the surrounding air to frost over with black ice.
"Master, can I kill all of this trash?" Hela licked her red lips, her murderous nature fully exposed.
Lynn waved his hand. "Leave the old one."
"As you command."
Hela and Carol simultaneously turned into two afterimages, lunging straight at the remaining Inheritors!
Facing Marvel's top-tier combatants, who had been strengthened and reshaped by the Bloodtrix, these Inheritors who relied on feeding on specific totems were simply not in the same league. Carol's energy bombardment combined with Hela's incurable death slashes caused screams to ring out one after another in the hall.
Watching his offspring being slaughtered like vegetables, Solus's expression finally changed.
He realized that physical strength and ordinary life-draining were completely ineffective against this group of monsters!
"Just what on earth are you..."
Solus stared fixedly at Lynn, who stood there with his hands in his pockets as if watching a play. He no longer hesitated, slamming his palms together as his eyes rolled back, and an arcane, ancient fluctuation erupted from his body.
Above the hall's ceiling, a boundless giant web shimmering with countless nodes of light faintly emerged!
[web of life and destiny]!
Solus utilized the supreme authority stolen by his family; he intended to bypass the physical dimension and erase Lynn's existence directly from 'causality' and 'timelines'!
"I don't care which Universe you come from! Before the web of life, your destiny is but a thread that can be snipped at any time!" Solus roared frantically, tearing at the void with both hands.
The surrounding space-time began to warp, and even several nearby Spider-Men began to turn translucent, as if they were about to be erased from history.
Feeling this power of erasure at the level of causal law, Lynn finally smiled.
He didn't resist, allowing the invisible threads to entwine around his body.
Ding—
On his left wrist, the previously dormant Bloodtrix suddenly erupted with blinding blood-red light! The dial spun frantically, and a virtual projection resembling an endless abyss expanded behind Lynn.
[High-dimensional conceptual-level access detected: web of life and destiny]
[Reverse engineering sequence initiated—]
[Devouring module, operating at full capacity!]
Lynn slowly raised his right hand, and under Solus's horrified gaze, he grabbed the 'thread of destiny' that was attempting to erase him.
"I've waited quite a while..."
The corners of Lynn's mouth curled into a cruel arc. "You've finally decided to connect."
