38: Chapter 38 The Hulk Goes Rampage
"Boom!"
S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, Deck 3.
The half-meter thick special alloy isolation door was ripped apart like paper by a pair of massive green hands.
Hulk let out a deafening roar, his massive body charging through, smashing the hallway surveillance cameras and metal support pillars into pieces along the way.
"Jarvis, fire at maximum power!"
In mid-air, Iron Man Tony Stark extended both arms. A dozen high-explosive micro-missiles, trailing exhaust flames, struck Hulk's back with precision.
"Bang, bang, bang!"
Sparks flew everywhere. But explosions of this magnitude were not even a tickle to Hulk's abnormal gamma skin.
Hulk turned abruptly, glaring angrily at the "tin man" in the air. He grabbed a multi-ton backup generator nearby and hurled it at Tony like a baseball.
"Damn it!" Tony immediately gained altitude, the generator grazing the underside of his armor before smashing through the upper deck.
Just as Hulk was preparing to leap and grab Tony.
"Monster, get lost!"
At the other end of the corridor, Thor, who had just woken from a coma and was covered in bandages, rushed over wielding Mjolnir. He leaped violently and slammed the hammer into Hulk's chin.
"Clang!"
Hulk was knocked back half a step and shook his head.
If Thor had been in his prime, this strike would have been enough to make Hulk suffer. But a few hours ago, in Germany, Thor had his divine power drained by Lynn and was severely wounded by a point-blank plasma cannon. He was now at less than a tenth of his strength.
Hulk spat out a mouthful of green saliva, his eyes becoming even more frenzied.
He backhanded Mjolnir away and grabbed Thor by his left leg.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Swinging Thor like a broken sack, Hulk grabbed his leg and smashed him violently back and forth against the walls of the metal corridor.
After a few hits, the God of Thunder from Asgard rolled his eyes back and passed out completely.
"Good god..." Tony watched from mid-air, his scalp tingling.
Inside the command center.
The Helicarrier's tilt had already reached forty-five degrees.
The high-altitude alarm was shrill and piercing.
"Director! Deck 3 is completely destroyed! Mr. Stark cannot hold him off, and Thor has lost the ability to fight! We are less than three minutes away from crashing!" an Agent shouted desperately at Nick Fury.
Fury gripped the edge of the console tightly, his only remaining eye bloodshot.
Captain America's arms were crippled, Thor was knocked out, and Iron Man couldn't break through his defenses. All of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s conventional weapons were useless against that green monster.
Fury gritted his teeth and finally gave the order that made him feel extremely humiliated.
"Connect me to Hells Kitchen, the top floor of Fisk Tower."
"Yes!"
The communication was connected quickly. On the command center's main screen, Lynn's cold, calm face appeared.
Lynn was sitting on his throne, holding a glass of red wine, seemingly having anticipated S.H.I.E.L.D.'s current disaster.
"Director Fury, looking to chat with me?" Lynn sipped his wine, his voice devoid of any inflection.
"Lynn, I don't care who you are, there are thousands of lives on this Helicarrier. If it crashes into a residential area, even more people will die!"
Fury didn't waste words and got straight to the point, "The monster called Hulk has lost control. We need your power, immediately!"
"Need me?"
Lynn smiled. He put down his wine glass, his eyes filled with thick mockery.
"What does the life or death of S.H.I.E.L.D. have to do with me? Aren't you supposed to be the World's umbrella of protection?"
"Lynn! Now is not the time for sarcasm!"
Fury's veins bulged on his forehead; he knew that talking about morality with this underworld tyrant was meaningless, "Name your price! How much money do you want to intervene? One hundred million? One billion?"
"Money is just waste paper to me."
Lynn leaned forward, staring intently at Fury's anxious face through the screen, directly revealing the fangs of a Raider.
"I want the highest clearance for S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters' weapons technology library. All design blueprints, black-tech chassis, alien engine samples. The whole set."
As soon as these words were spoken, several high-ranking Agents in the command center gasped.
That was the absolute foundation S.H.I.E.L.D. had accumulated over nearly a century! Handing these over to a lawless underground tyrant was equivalent to handing the nuclear button to a madman!
"That's impossible!" Fury refused without even thinking.
"Then get ready to be smashed into pulp along with your Helicarrier." Lynn reached out without hesitation to cut the communication.
"Wait!"
The Helicarrier shook violently again; Hulk had already smashed through the last armored door leading to the command center.
At this life-or-death moment, Fury completely broke down.
"I agree! All clearances, I'll give them all to you!" Fury shouted the words, almost gritting his teeth.
"Pleasure doing business."
A satisfied, cold smile curled the corners of Lynn's mouth.
The screen went black.
On the top floor of Fisk Tower, Lynn stood up and downed the remaining red wine in his glass.
He glanced at the crimson blood watch on his left wrist. The Mind Stone energy he had just absorbed still had about 20% redundancy stored.
"System, retrieve coordinates. Use the redundant Mind energy to forcibly construct a single-person micro-spatial jump." Lynn issued the command in his mind.
[Command confirmed.]
[Consuming 10% of Mind singularity energy. Tearing through spatial barriers.]
The surface of the Bloodtrix erupted with a dazzling dark golden light.
This high-dimensional energy instantly tore open a deep blue spatial rift in front of Lynn. Lynn didn't hesitate at all and stepped into the rift.
...
Helicarrier, Deck 3 corridor.
Hulk had just thrown two S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents out the window and was preparing to crush the main console under his feet.
Suddenly, the air directly in front of Hulk twisted violently.
A deep blue spatial rift appeared out of thin air.
Hulk stopped his movements, his heavy breathing puffing out, staring vigilantly at the rift.
A young human wearing a black shirt with a slender, well-proportioned figure walked calmly out of the rift.
It was none other than Lynn.
He glanced at the tragic ruins around him, his gaze finally locking onto the three-meter-tall green behemoth in front of him, radiating violent gamma energy.
"Roar—!"
Sensing the dangerous aura emanating from the tiny human before him, Hulk immediately swung his green heavy fist, the size of a millstone, bringing a shrill whistling wind as he slammed it fiercely toward Lynn's head.
Facing this terrifying monstrous strength capable of flattening a tank.
Lynn did not dodge or avoid it.
He stared at Hulk's massive body, his black pupils burning with unprecedented violence and fanaticism.
"Comparing strength?"
Lynn raised his left hand and pressed it heavily onto the glowing red Bloodtrix.
"I love comparing strength with people the most."
