84: Chapter 84 The Starry Expedition of the Crimson Courtyard
The starry sky on the outskirts of Asgard.
The massive "Sanctuary II" hovered quietly in the vacuum. This super flagship, which once symbolized death and Carnage, had now completely changed Masters.
"Bang!"
The thick alloy doors of the flagship's command room were kicked open brutally.
The Punisher, Frank Castle, carrying a heavy Gauss rifle, led a large contingent of fully armed Crimson Guard flooding into the hall.
Before them, hundreds of Chitauri officers and Necro-Generals dropped their weapons, their knees slamming onto the metal floor as they buried their heads deep, their bodies shaking like sieves.
After witnessing the brutal scene of Thanos having his arms snapped alive, being sucked into a dry corpse, and even having his remains fed to dogs, the psychological defenses of these once-arrogant space pirates had completely collapsed.
Submit, or be eaten. This was their only choice.
The crowd parted to both sides.
Clad in a pure black trench coat and military boots, Lynn strode into the command room.
Hela and Carol followed behind him on his left and right. The two once-aloof queens and war gods were now dressed in dark red tight-fitting uniforms, like two Peerless Blades unsheathed, indifferently watching the kneeling crowd.
Lynn walked to the center of the hall, turned, and sat down grandly on the giant dark-gold throne that originally belonged to Thanos.
"Boss, the cleanup is complete."
Frank walked to the steps of the throne and reported respectfully: "The main control system of Sanctuary II has been completely taken over by us. In addition, there are over three thousand intact Chitauri warships in space, as well as an army of over two million Outriders, all disarmed and on standby."
Lynn leaned back casually against the throne, his right hand playing with the flickering five-colored lights of the Laws at his fingertips.
"Incorporate them into the Crimson Fleet. Anyone who dares to make a move, throw them directly into the reactor as fuel."
Lynn's command was simple and brutal.
"Yes!"
Lynn looked up at the holographic star map projection at the front of the hall.
"Open the universal public channel. Broadcast with highest authority."
"Buzz—"
An invisible electromagnetic wave instantly swept past Asgard at the speed of light, passed through a wormhole, and spread frantically toward various civilizations in the depths of the Universe.
On the holographic screen, a silent video of only about ten seconds was played.
It was a panoramic image of Lynn grabbing Thanos's fist, backhanding and shattering the Titan's helmet, then snapping Thanos's arms and pinning him underfoot.
There was no declaration, no warning.
Just these ten-odd seconds of footage were like a nuclear bomb dropped into the deep sea, instantly detonating the entire Universe!
...
Tens of thousands of light-years away, on Hala, the home planet of the Kree Empire.
Inside the super-mainframe hall of the Supreme Intelligence, it was deathly silent.
The supreme rulers of the Kree Empire watched Thanos being slaughtered like a dog on the screen, cold sweat soaking their backs. A few days ago, they were still clamoring for revenge over Ronan's death.
But now, looking at that Earth youth sitting on the throne...
"Immediately... immediately recall all fleets operating in the Solar System and on the edge of the Nine Realms!"
The Commander roared hoarsely: "From today on, the Solar System and surrounding star systems are designated as absolute forbidden zones! Hide all the interstellar coordinates of the Kree Empire! Anyone who approaches Earth in violation of orders will have their entire family wiped out!"
...
The hidden planet of the Skrull Empire.
The Skrull Empress watched the footage on the Interstellar News, her legs going weak as she slumped directly onto her throne.
"The Overlord of the Universe... is dead?"
She looked at Captain Marvel, who was dressed in a maid outfit with a fanatical look in her eyes beside Lynn, and the last trace of hope in her heart was completely crushed.
"Quick! Inventory the top-tier energy ores and rare genes in the national treasury!"
The Skrull Empress shrieked: "Prepare the annual tribute immediately! Go and bow your head to that Crimson Tyrant! We Skrulls must not become his next prey!"
...
The Shi'ar Empire.
The powerful Shi'ar Gladiator watched the phantom of the five-hundred-meter-tall Interstellar Titan holding Captain Marvel in his palm and silently lowered his weapon.
"The rules of the Universe have changed."
The Shi'ar Emperor sighed.
On this day, the three major empires of the Universe and countless interstellar civilizations simultaneously fell into extreme panic.
...
Inside the command room of "Sanctuary II."
Lynn had zero interest in the reactions of the three major empires. They were just a bunch of crops that could be harvested at any time, not worth his distraction right now.
He slowly raised his left hand.
On the back of his hand, the five ultimate primal lights of the Universe—Space (Blue), Mind (Yellow), Reality (Red), Power (Purple), and Soul (Orange)—surged beneath his skin, finally converging into a terrifying fluctuation that made the starry sea tremble.
"Just one last piece of the puzzle left."
The corner of Lynn's mouth curled into a bloodthirsty arc.
He suddenly clenched his fist.
"Boom!"
The laws of the Space Stone were pushed to their limit!
A super wormhole with a diameter of over hundreds of kilometers tore open violently in front of the massive Sanctuary II.
"All fleets, hear my command."
Lynn's voice spread through the ship's broadcast to every corner of the thousands of warships.
"Target: Earth, New York."
"Set off. To take back what belongs to me."
With Lynn's command, the massive Crimson Fleet, like a black cloud blotting out the Sun, grandly sailed into the spatial wormhole.
...
Earth, New York.
The sanctuary of mages, Kamar-Taj (New York Sanctum branch).
The sky was originally clear, but suddenly, the Sun seemed to be covered by a giant palm.
The entire New York City, at twelve noon, plunged into extreme darkness without any warning.
Citizens looked up in terror.
They saw that outside the atmosphere, a dark-black super flagship so massive it completely defied the laws of physics—its size even exceeding that of a city—was pressing down unreservedly over New York!
Around that main ship, densely packed alien warships were like stars across the sky, blockading the entire horizon.
That suffocating sense of pressure made countless humans fall to their knees on the spot, their minds going blank.
The top floor of the Sanctum.
Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange, Stephen Strange, pushed open the carved wooden doors with trembling hands and walked onto the terrace.
He looked at that familiar massive flagship in the sky, and the black-clad youth standing at the very front of the flagship, looking down upon this land.
The eye of agamotto on his chest was throbbing wildly, as if sending a fatal death warning to its Master.
"He's here..."
Old Wong stood behind Strange, his palms holding the magic shield completely covered in cold sweat.
"Stephen, you saw those fourteen million futures... is there really not a single chance to win?"
Strange smiled miserably, his eyes full of deep powerlessness.
"Not only can we not win."
Strange looked up at the abyss-like figure in the sky.
"But in the vast majority of those futures, we don't even... have the qualification to make him take action."
