127: Section 127
Originally, Jing Yuan could only hover at low altitudes using the scale disk, but now he was actually able to control it to fly.
In an instant, Jing Yuan flew thirty to forty meters into the air.
He looked down at the Twin-Jawed Beast; the creature didn't seem so terrifying anymore.
The Twin-Jawed Beast saw that Jing Yuan could actually fly.
It let out an angry roar:
"Roar!"
Jing Yuan didn't panic at all. He controlled the laser drill to manifest again, and it entered the Twin-Jawed Beast's body directly through its mouth.
The laser drill rampaged inside the Twin-Jawed Beast, causing it excruciating pain.
"Found it!"
Jing Yuan's Mental Power scanned the Twin-Jawed Beast's body from the air.
His enhanced Mental Force was now capable of easily locating spirit seeds even within large Phage Beasts.
Jing Yuan applied all of his Mental Force to the laser drill.
The laser tore through the Phage Beast's muscles, striking the spirit seed directly.
Crack!
Relying on the laser and the force of impact, the drill shattered the spirit seed.
The strength of a Twin-Jawed Beast was nothing more than this.
Remaining in the air, Jing Yuan began to absorb the Twin-Jawed Beast's life source essence.
In the distance, that massive figure was actually approaching him.
Jing Yuan turned around, and the blurry figure's silhouette gradually became clear.
Huge wings and a long, slender neck.
A Dragon-type Phage Beast?
Jing Yuan didn't overthink it. With a sweep of his Mental Force, he took his weapons and equipment and flew away on the scale disk.
Initially, his flight was extremely unstable, but after a moment of practice, he mastered his balance and began to accelerate.
Jing Yuan began to climb toward a mountain peak. Although he was only flying at a low altitude, it was still flight, and his speed was quite impressive.
Back on the Lighthouse, Jing Nan saw Jing Yuan's coordinates crossing a mountain range and hurriedly asked, "Jing Yuan, why do I see you climbing a mountain? And so fast!"
Jing Yuan laughed helplessly. "Something like that! I'll tell you later!"
Jing Yuan needed to concentrate!
After crossing the mountain peak, Jing Yuan suddenly noticed that the air here felt different.
Looking back, that massive dragon-like figure hadn't pursued him; instead, it had returned to where it was before.
Jing Yuan looked ahead. The sun was shining brightly, and there were vast grasslands at the foot of the mountain.
This scene was the complete opposite of the dense dark clouds behind him.
Looking at this sun-drenched area, Jing Yuan smiled happily.
There were no traces of the mana ecology here; this might be where Dragon Bone Village was located.
He had originally thought he would have to search in another ecological zone, but now it seemed that wouldn't be necessary.
Jing Yuan immediately controlled the scale disk to fly down the mountain.
Jing Nan was even more astonished when she saw Jing Yuan's coordinates moving. "Jing Yuan, there shouldn't be any roads on that mountain range! How can you move so fast?"
Jing Yuan didn't hide anything and said with a smile, "Yes, there are no roads. But I'm flying!"
"Flying?" Jing Nan asked in confusion. "Weren't you only able to hover with the scale disk? You can fly now?"
"Yeah! My strength has increased a bit," Jing Yuan continued. "Jing Nan, I might have found the place. Record my position. Once I've finished talking with them, navigate the Lighthouse over here."
"Okay! I'll wait for your word."
Jing Yuan flew all the way down and soon arrived above the grasslands.
From the air, there were several man-made caves on the grassland, which looked like underground Survival Bases left over from the old world.
And further away, there was a very conspicuous base.
Compared to those underground Survival Bases with their lids opened, the base on the ground looked like it was actually inhabited.
Jing Yuan swept his Mental Force and indeed found several presences within the ground base.
And these presences were different from both the humans on the Lighthouse and the Phage Beasts.
Suddenly, an arrow whistled through the air.
Jing Yuan sensed the arrow and immediately used his Mental Force to stop it twenty meters away.
He had thought the arrow would explode, but it didn't.
"Hey! Stop right there, don't come any closer!"
Jing Yuan heard a voice and realized there was a walkie-talkie device on the arrow.
"Hey! Stop moving forward. If you go any further, the next thing we shoot won't be a communicator!"
Jing Yuan was taken aback. He brought the walkie-talkie to his hand with his Mental Force, and a voice came through again:
"Who are you? What is your purpose here?"
Jing Yuan replied, "I am from the Lighthouse. I am looking for Bai Yuekui!"
Chapter 131: Contact with Dragon Bone Village
Inside the Ecological Base, Wine Song, who had her hair in twin buns, and Amur, who was wearing a mask, were on duty.
Suddenly, the radar screen indicated a biological signal approaching.
The Ecological Base was near the mana Ecological Core Zone. Now that a biological signal was approaching the base from the direction of the Ecological Core Zone, the two of them were startled.
Wine Song immediately notified the others on duty in the Ecological Base.
The first to arrive was Sky Breaker, a frivolous young man wearing a hat and goggles.
Shortly after, Star Shatterer arrived as well.
At this time, they captured the optical image of the biological signal through a high-magnification camera.
"It's a person?" Wine Song exclaimed; she had thought it would be a Phage Beast.
"How can a person fly?"
"Look, there's something under his feet. It should be some kind of flying device."
"Where did this person come from?"
Star Shatterer took a look and said, "We'll know once we ask."
She led the way outside, attached a walkie-talkie to an arrow, and then shot it out.
Sky Breaker shouted into the walkie-talkie, "Hey! Stop right there, don't come any closer! If you go any further, the next thing we shoot won't be a communicator!"
Star Shatterer glanced at Sky Breaker. "Ask him who he is and what his purpose is for coming here!"
"Who are you? What is your purpose here?"
"I am from the Lighthouse. I am looking for Bai Yuekui!"
"Oh, someone from the Big Pot Lid," Sky Breaker said flippantly into the walkie-talkie.
Star Shatterer looked puzzled. "What would someone from the Lighthouse want with Boss Bai?"
Sky Breaker spoke into the walkie-talkie, "Is our boss someone you can just see whenever you want? State clearly, what are you here for?"
Jing Yuan also replied patiently, "I said, I'm here to find Bai Yuekui!"
Sky Breaker, however, said, "Let me remind you, these facilities you see before you are private property. They aren't things you can just take whenever you want..."
In the eyes of the Ground People, the people from the Lighthouse only came down to The Surface for one thing: to scavenge supplies!
But Jing Yuan was completely bewildered. Hadn't he made himself clear?
The signal through the communicator wasn't very good either.
Jing Yuan's expression darkened as he continued to fly forward on the scale disk.
Despite the distance, Star Shatterer's senses could still detect Jing Yuan's movements.
"He's still approaching!"
Sky Breaker said in an annoyed voice, "Hey! I told you to stop! Didn't you hear me? If you come any closer, we'll treat it as an intrusion."
After his last encounter with Bai Yuekui, Jing Yuan had realized something was off.
These Ground People weren't as easy to talk to as he had imagined.
Jing Yuan realized that since conversation wasn't earning him any respect, he would have to let his strength do the talking.
"Whatever!"
