83: Section 83

"That's it?" 3855 couldn't believe it; it was such a simple matter.

"Yes."

"No problem, leave it to me." 3855 patted his chest and guaranteed.

Several other Dust Citizens walked over, and upon seeing Vice-Captain Jing Yuan, they enthusiastically shouted, "Vice-Captain Jing Yuan, can you take me on the next mission!"

"Okay, no problem," Jing Yuan replied casually.

As the number of Phage Beasts Jing Yuan killed on The Surface increased, his standing in the hearts of the Dust Citizens also rose.

Now, in the minds of these Dust Citizens, Jing Yuan's status was second only to Mark.

They knew Jing Yuan was capable, and following him to The Surface meant a much lower risk factor.

Jing Yuan saw a crowd of Dust Citizens gather around and suddenly had an idea. He said to them, "Have you heard? Captain Mark is about to become the City Lord."

"Captain Mark is becoming the City Lord?" one of the Dust Citizens shouted, and everyone else who hadn't heard clearly now did.

"Then Vice-Captain Jing Yuan, will you be promoted to Captain!"

Jing Yuan smiled and said, "Let's not talk about that for now, but with Captain Mark becoming the City Lord, everyone will have better days."

"How so?"

"At least those people from the Light and Shadow Society won't dare to bully others anymore. Captain Mark's succession means the first thing he'll do is rectify the Light and Shadow Society!"

"That's right! Those guys from the Light and Shadow Society have been abusing their power for too long! It's better for Captain Mark to be the City Lord!"

"Right! Support Captain Mark as City Lord!"

"In recent years, the supplies on the Lighthouse have all been collected from The Surface by Captain Mark's team. What have those Light and Shadow Society people done! Support Captain Mark as City Lord!"

"Right! Support Captain Mark as City Lord!"

Seeing the Dust Citizens discussing animatedly, Jing Yuan secretly smiled and quietly withdrew from the crowd... Later, Jing Yuan brought 4277 to the Research Department.

The Research Department was empty at this time, with only Jing Nan present.

Jing Nan was surprised to see Jing Yuan bring a Dust Citizen and asked, "Why did you bring a Dust Citizen?"

Jing Yuan introduced, "She's an equipment manufacturing worker I hired."

Although Jing Nan was somewhat puzzled, she didn't ask further.

Jing Nan walked ahead, leading the way. "The advanced 3d printer is industrial-grade component manufacturing equipment. She probably hasn't received any relevant training. Are you really planning to let her do it?"

Jing Yuan smiled and said, "The principle of a printer is always the same, right!"

After speaking, Jing Yuan glanced at 4277.

4277 confidently said, "Lord Jing Nan, give me some time, I'll learn quickly!"

"Is that so?" Jing Nan was actually a little expectant.

Jing Nan didn't treat Dust Citizens as lowly creatures like Charles did.

She knew that there were many capable talents among the Dust Citizens.

"Let me see how fast you can learn!" Jing Nan opened a door, revealing three massive machines inside.

Looking at the three large machines in the production Workshop, Jing Yuan hadn't expected the high-level 3d printer to be so huge!

He had thought it would only be a little larger than a regular printer.

4277 looked at the advanced printers before her, her face filled with excitement.

"Lord Jing Nan, these devices are a bit different from what I imagined. I've never touched them before. Are there any operating instructions?"

Jing Nan walked over and said, "There are no operating instructions."

"Then I might need a little more time to figure it out." Then she looked at Jing Nan, "Lord Jing Nan, don't worry, I won't break the machine. I've used ordinary printers, and the principles are similar."

Jing Nan smiled and said, "No need for so much trouble, I'll operate it once for you to see."

Chapter 85 Black Armor

Jing Nan began to turn on the machine, operating it while explaining, "Just like ordinary printers, data needs to be imported into a dedicated computer, and unqualified data needs to be modified on the spot. This is the material bay, and this is the production bay..."

Jing Nan's speaking speed was very fast, and Jing Yuan couldn't follow after a while because he didn't understand.

But 4277 listened intently, nodding repeatedly.

"This chamber is different from ordinary printers; it can perform high-temperature, high-pressure forging. This step is particularly crucial..."

Finally, Jing Nan asked, "Did you understand?"

4277 nodded, "I understood."

"Then show me!"

Jing Yuan realized that Jing Nan seemed to be testing 4277.

4277 hesitated for a moment, looking at Jing Yuan.

Jing Nan, however, said, "First step, import the model of the component you want to manufacture into the computer. What? Haven't you prepared the model in advance?"

Of course, the model had been prepared in advance, but if 4277 imported the data now, Jing Nan would know what they were doing.

4277 knew Jing Yuan didn't want to tell anyone the secret of the flying daggers. Before coming, they hadn't expected Jing Nan to be present the whole time.

Jing Yuan understood 4277's concerns. He nodded and said, "Just import it!"

Jing Yuan had only told Jing Nan he was printing small trinkets.

Jing Nan was naturally curious. The reason she hadn't pressed for details before was that she knew she had to be present for the printing process; besides her and the Research Department staff, no one else knew how to use these three printers.

Once the model was imported into the computer, Jing Nan would naturally know.

With Jing Yuan's permission, 4277 imported the prepared data into the computer, and the model immediately appeared on the screen.

As expected, after importing, many areas needed modification.

4277 immediately began to operate the computer and make changes.

Jing Nan watched from the side. Her first reaction was that they really were just small trinkets.

Scale-shaped flying daggers; normally no one would use them, or even associate them with flying daggers.

Jing Nan couldn't help but ask in confusion, "What are you printing these things for?"

"For toys!"

Jing Yuan did not answer directly.

And Jing Nan didn't press further. Her gaze shifted to 4277; she was shocked by 4277's memory and comprehension.

This young Dust Citizen girl was indeed remarkable, remembering everything after just one explanation.

Dust Citizens were not allowed to touch this kind of equipment, which meant this was 4277's first time using it.

The fact that she could operate it after hearing it once was already very impressive.

After 4277 corrected the data discrepancies, she looked at Jing Yuan again and asked, "Do you want to recheck the data?"

"Okay."

Jing Yuan compared the computer data with the image in his mind, confirming they were consistent.

Although there were a total of 108 flying daggers, there were only 4 models, so it was quickly done.

Jing Nan saw that the total number of items to be printed was 108, and she couldn't help but form a guess about the purpose of these components.

After Jing Nan taught 4277 the basic operations, these three printers could be handed over to 4277 to operate.

4277 set up the program, and the three printers started simultaneously.

Now it was just a matter of waiting for them to print.

Jing Nan said to 4277, "I'll give you a card, and you can freely enter and exit the Research Department and this production Workshop. If anyone asks what you're doing, just say you're working for me."

"Understood."

"Thank you very much!" Jing Yuan looked at Jing Nan with gratitude.

Then Jing Yuan gave 4277 some instructions and prepared to leave.

Jing Nan also walked out of the Workshop with him.

"I originally thought you'd be printing weapon components," Jing Nan said as they walked.

"That's right, these are weapon components!" Jing Yuan actually told the truth this time.

Jing Nan glanced at him, thinking he was joking, and didn't pursue the matter further.

The two walked to another Workshop in the Research Department, where a large amount of supplies was piled at the entrance.

Jing Nan smiled, "You brought back some weapon components from your last mission. Do you want to take a look? Maybe there's something you need."

"Sure!"

Jing Yuan followed Jing Nan into the Workshop, where various items were haphazardly placed: firearms, swords, protective suits, and all sorts of other goods.
