146: Section 146
"I'm fine!"
Seeing that he had recovered, Penny felt relieved and asked with a smile, "You still haven't mentioned your talent!"
"I've also awakened a space-type ability, though it's different from yours."
"So you can also shuttle through space?"
Jing Yuan shook his head. "No."
Chapter 149: Higher-Dimensional Perspective
Jing Yuan and Penny appeared exactly at the main gate of Dragon Bone Village.
Jing Yuan glanced at the gate and then said to Penny, "Let's go into the village and find someone to learn more about the situation!"
"You mean, regarding the situation with space-type talents?"
"Yes."
"Then who are you planning to find?"
"Bai Yuekui or Xia Tianlai! Just now, Old Xia also said he wanted me to find him to learn about potential."
Penny gave a mysterious smile. "If you want to learn about space-type talents, it's useless to find them."
Jing Yuan was puzzled, but then he remembered that Penny also had this type of talent and must know a lot.
"Then who should I look for?"
"Tasia!" Penny said. "She's not only a warrior but also a researcher. In Dragon Bone Village, she's the only space-type Supernatural Ability user, so she has the deepest understanding of space."
Led by Penny, Jing Yuan arrived at Tasia's house.
Tasia was currently single, so she lived alone.
However, her house was quite large, much larger than those on the Lighthouse.
Tasia saw Penny, then looked at Jing Yuan behind her, and asked with a smile, "Penny, you've brought your boyfriend back so quickly?"
"Teacher Tasia!"
Being addressed like that by Tasia made Penny a bit embarrassed; on the Lighthouse, no one had ever spoken so blatantly.
Tasia, however, was looking at Jing Yuan; his powerful strength had made all the Awakened Practitioners in Dragon Bone Village look at him in a new light.
"I heard you've awakened your potential! How strange, could you have had a second awakening?"
"Perhaps!"
"Then what potential did you awaken?"
"I can perceive spatial fluctuations!" Jing Yuan said directly.
Hearing Jing Yuan's words, Tasia looked very surprised.
"You know about spatial fluctuations?" Jing Yuan was also very curious.
Tasia stopped what she was doing and walked over to sit at a nearby desk. "I know a bit."
She pointed to a nearby chair and said, "Sit down, let's talk slowly!"
Penny asked from the side, "Teacher Tasia, can Jing Yuan's talent shuttle through space like ours?"
Tasia shook her head. "His talent is different from ours. Our ability is actually just stimulating a quantum state and transforming our form. His talent, however, is a Higher-Dimensional Perspective."
"How so?"
Tasia picked up a pen and a piece of paper.
She first drew a line on the paper and said, "Suppose this line is a one-dimensional space; a creature living in this space can only move forward or backward, it cannot perceive the dimensions of up, down, left, or right."
Jing Yuan looked at Tasia and said, "I'm familiar with this theory."
Tasia then picked up the paper. "If the plane of this paper is a space, then a creature living within it can perceive the dimension of that line and the dimension of left and right, but it cannot perceive the dimension of up and down."
Jing Yuan nodded. "We live in a three-dimensional space and can perceive the existence of three dimensions, but we cannot perceive the fourth dimension, right?"
"Right! But what you're talking about is merely perception!" Tasia held the paper. "In three dimensions, you can observe a two-dimensional structure, but you still cannot observe a three-dimensional structure. Only when you enter the fourth dimension can you observe the structure of three dimensions."
Tasia's words made Jing Yuan suddenly realize—he had been talking about perception, while Tasia was talking about observation.
Tasia continued, "Actually, if we count time as a dimension, we can even perceive the dimension of time. However, it is merely perception. If you possess a Supernatural Ability that can observe space, it means you possess a Higher-Dimensional Perspective."
Listening to her, Jing Yuan felt that it indeed made sense.
"Then how should I use my ability?"
Tasia said casually, "You are a warrior; perhaps you can integrate your spatial ability into combat, and you might have unexpected gains."
"Perhaps?" Jing Yuan asked curiously, "Has someone else in your village awakened a similar talent?"
Tasia hesitated for a moment, then smiled. "No! It's just my guess. You can give it a try."
Jing Yuan didn't pay it much mind; instead, he was now very concerned about another situation. "When Penny took me through earlier, I felt as if I entered a strange space. Can you perceive that as well?"
"Strange space?" Tasia shook her head, clearly unaware of it.
Jing Yuan also fell silent for a moment; this was his talent, and if he wanted to know more, he might need to research it himself.
Jing Yuan looked at Tasia and asked another question he was very curious about.
"Could you tell me the principle behind how you shuttle through space? And what is that frisbee-like locator used for?"
Tasia picked up the paper again and said, "It's still the theory of spatial dimensions; spaces of different dimensions have always existed, we just don't notice them. But entering a quantum superposition state allows us to briefly enter higher-dimensional space. As for the locator, it has two functions. The first is to provide us with a position. The second is to help us stabilize our material state; otherwise, if we completely collapse into a wave state, we won't be able to come back."
Jing Yuan nodded and then asked, "So you can't use it for too long, and the distance can't be too far, right?"
"Exactly!"
"Then this ability is actually quite limited!"
Tasia spread her hands and shrugged. "Compared to some combat-oriented Supernatural Abilities, it is indeed very limited."
Penny, however, said somewhat indignantly, "But we're still great support, aren't we? If we hadn't been shuttling quickly across the battlefield today, would you have had such an easy time?"
"Yes, yes, yes!" Jing Yuan didn't deny it. He looked back at Tasia. "It's getting late, we won't disturb you further. See you tomorrow!"
"See you tomorrow!"
After Jing Yuan and Penny left Tasia's residence, they headed straight out of Dragon Bone Village.
Jing Yuan retrieved the scale disk and war blade he had left at the village entrance.
Weapons weren't needed near the village, so he had just left his things at the entrance.
When returning to the Lighthouse, he still needed to use the scale disk to fly.
Jing Yuan controlled the scale disk to hover by his feet, then he suddenly looked at Penny again. "Did you place any locators on the Lighthouse? Should we shuttle over?"
"What are you thinking?" Penny said. "Setting aside the fact that the Lighthouse is far away, even if it weren't, there aren't that many locators!"
Jing Yuan then realized that the distance from the village entrance to the Lighthouse was four or five times further than going to the mountaintop.
"By the way, how are their locators made? We should ask them to make more later and place them around, then couldn't we shuttle freely?"
"I'm not sure. Tasia said the requirements for making these locators are very high, and she only has so many. She gave me six, and she couldn't spare any more."
"So few?" Jing Yuan looked toward the mountaintop. "Then you just left one on the mountaintop?"
"That doesn't matter. Tasia often goes to the Potential Stimulation Hall; she can just pick it up the next time she goes."
Jing Yuan looked behind Penny; a bag was hanging from her waist. "The locators are kept in there, right?"
Penny nodded.
"Want to do an experiment with me?"
"What do you want to do?"
"I want you to take me through a few more shuttles; I want to perceive the existence of that strange space again."
"Is it because you have a Higher-Dimensional Perspective that you can perceive that space?"
Jing Yuan nodded. "That's exactly what I'm thinking."
Chapter 150: They Will Destroy Humanity
Jing Yuan and Penny flew on the scale disk to the grassland area at the foot of the mountain.
Penny took four locators out of her bag, preparing to place them in four directions.
Jing Yuan used his telekinesis to control the locators, placing them fifty meters away from them as Penny instructed.
Once they were placed, Penny took out the last locator. She took Jing Yuan's hand and asked, "Are you ready?"
"Ready!"
Jing Yuan once again saw Penny's body vanish, followed by his own.
Perhaps because he had experience now.
The moment Jing Yuan disappeared, his senses were instantly stimulated.
This allowed him to perceive that strange space once again.
