12: Chapter 12 Inspection

White clouds drifted across the sky, finally blocking out a bit of the scorching sun.

Zhang Shan was currently hiding in the shade, enjoying afternoon tea while waiting for Moriarty's arrival.

The transition from a killer to an arms dealer was something Zhang Shan still needed to slowly adapt to.

Yesterday, Zhang Shan did not rush to ask about any information.

Although revenge was a very important matter, one cannot rush things; matters must be handled slowly.

As a newcomer arms dealer, selling arms could be high-profile, but gathering intelligence required familiarity first.

Besides, how much information could a character like Moriarty possibly know?

"How much longer until three o'clock?"

"Brother Shan, there are ten minutes left."

"These foreigners are truly punctual; they won't arrive until the exact time, right?"

Zhang Shan recalled some public intellectual remarks he had seen in a magazine when he was young, claiming that foreigners were honest and trustworthy, especially the caucasian, who paid special attention to etiquette, saying they would arrive exactly at the agreed time.

They wouldn't be a minute late or a minute early.

After having mixed in international circles for so many years, Zhang Shan just wanted to spit on such articles.

Pure bullsh*t!

Throughout history, these honest and trustworthy caucasian folks were the kind of 'honest people' who would say they'd kill your whole family and then actually do it!

Just as Zhang Shan was getting impatient, the sound of car horns finally came from outside the warehouse.

"Beep! Beep! Beep!"

Dropping his snacks, Zhang Shan, accompanied by Zhang Yi and Zhang Er, walked towards the warehouse entrance.

"Quite a few people have come, so many cars!"

Zhang Shan was not nervous at all; even if one hundred strongmen got out of every car, he could guarantee his safe retreat under the cover of the mechanical androids.

Unless the other side had weapons of mass destruction capable of indiscriminate, large-scale attacks.

Besides, looking at these vehicle models, it was certain they were for the convenience of loading goods.

Thirty cars stopped one after another, arranged very neatly; it looked like Moriarty had brought his elite forces.

After all, five million in arms was not a small business for Moriarty!

Perhaps to prevent any misunderstanding by Zhang Shan, no one got out of the cars; only Moriarty, accompanied by Mona and Gustav, got out and walked towards Zhang Shan.

"Brother Robinson, I've missed you to death!"

Moriarty gave Zhang Shan a warm bear hug.

"Hahaha, you must be missing my arms!"

"I've been missing your money dearly!"

"Of course, I've also missed Miss Mona!"

Zhang Shan did not refuse the enthusiasm of this graying, middle-aged man; in business, harmony brings wealth.

Not only that, but Zhang Shan did not forget to cast a pretentious wink at Miss Mona.

Mona naturally returned the wink.

"Yesterday you sent me two black cases, today I will also send you two black cases!"

After Moriarty finished speaking, Gustav, who was beside him, carried two large black cases and walked to Zhang Shan's side.

Although Gustav had doubted Zhang Shan in the car, upon arriving at the scene, Gustav remained very quiet.

He merely observed Zhang Shan without interjecting.

Walking forward now, he had no intention of provocation; he very obediently placed the two large black cases on the ground and opened them together.

It seemed Gustav was also a strongman-like existence.

Because as soon as the two black cases were opened, two neat beams of green light shimmered in the daylight.

This green light made Gustav's scarred face look quite a bit cuter.

What emitted the green light was, naturally, neat stacks of US dollars.

Zhang Shan looked at Benjamin Franklin's portrait and smiled, letting it pass.

"Moriarty is indeed a straightforward person; please, come in!"

Zhang Shan gestured for Moriarty to enter.

"I hope Brother Robinson won't disappoint me!"

Moriarty was not polite; he strode boldly into the warehouse, as if he were already very familiar with Zhang Shan.

Moreover, Moriarty was indeed looking forward to seeing what good goods this Robinson had prepared for him.

If Robinson could truly provide impressive arms, it meant Moriarty hadn't misjudged him; he must be a young master from a large family.

If they were just some mediocre, common goods, then the people Moriarty brought were not just there to eat for free.

In the business world and on the streets, the one thing that is never lacking is double-crossing.

Turning against someone in an instant is a required course for every businessman!

Although it was daytime, the warehouse was still brightly lit; they didn't know the meaning of conservation at all.

Moriarty led Mona and Gustav into the warehouse, and at a glance, they saw rows of oak crates arranged neatly in the center of the warehouse.

Furthermore, every oak crate was open.

Although the quality of the oak might not be top-notch—after all, this was just a warehouse Zhang Shan had rented casually.

But in terms of presentation, Zhang Shan had handled it very well.

"Don't be polite, you three; it's all good food, enjoy yourselves to the fullest."

Zhang Shan followed them inside, gesturing for Moriarty and his two companions to continue forward.

The three of them walked forward and immediately saw the scene inside the oak crates.

Heavy machine guns and light machine guns, polished until they shone, lay in the wooden crates; in Moriarty's eyes, they were like newborn babies, a sleeping beauty.

Besides the machine guns, there were also neatly arranged, pre-assembled RPG rocket launchers, pointed straight at Moriarty's eyes.

But in Moriarty's view, it was as if beautiful women were opening their doors wide to him.

However, what made Moriarty's eyes light up the most were the stacks of US-style bulletproof vests neatly piled in the wooden crates.

As the saying goes, no matter how good your kung fu is, you're still afraid of a kitchen knife!

Although weapons are important, a bad knife or a good knife, a bad gun or a good gun, can all kill people.

What underground forces worry about most is not having genuine protective gear.

Even if they have some, at most they are defective products, or they spend a large sum of money to buy one genuine piece to protect the boss or the leaders.

As for the underlings, you just have to pray to the gods and hope God blesses you!

What kind of bulletproof vests would underlings wear?

Who would have thought that this Robinson would start off with hundreds of bulletproof vests; how many underlings would this save?

Whether it's preserving fighting strength or winning over hearts, bulletproof vests are definitely the sharpest of sharp weapons.

Although the cost of bulletproof vests isn't as expensive as weapons, the government's control over them is just too strict.

However, as a big boss, Moriarty still restrained his desire to go and touch the bulletproof vests.

After all, as a boss, it's best to show one's aggressive side; touching bulletproof vests right away would give people the impression of being too petty and afraid of death.

"Brother Robinson, you are simply a magician!"

"With these things, what is the Sipanya Mafia?"

"Once that Katas comes, and my RPG fires, I guarantee he'll know what it means to be blown to smithereens!"

Moriarty excitedly stroked the m2 browning heavy machine gun, almost kissing it.

Even Gustav, who was standing to the side without speaking, couldn't help but reveal a smile, and his gaze towards Zhang Shan was no longer cold.

Moriarty is truly worthy of being my big brother; his eye for people is really good!
