32: Chapter 32 Kidnapping? It'll only make you die faster.

At this moment, Victor really wanted to blow Zhang Shan's head off with a single shot.

He just couldn't figure out what kind of magic this kid had, or why he was so incredibly stupid to fall into his hands every single time.

"Don't get cocky, Robinson. My Victor Family is powerful and influential; we won't care about such a small amount of money..."

"That's good. I was really afraid you wouldn't pay me," Zhang Shan interrupted Victor at just the right moment.

"Holy shit, you..."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Victor, but I have things to do, so I won't stay and chat. Please move aside, if you would."

Victor's nose was practically twisting with rage.

After Zhang Shan and the others left, Victor went home, getting angrier the more he thought about it.

"Do you remember the man who confronted me at the auction today?"

"We remember."

"There was a little girl next to him. Send someone to kidnap her immediately. I want that megalomaniac to experience a fate worse than death!!"

Inside the Maybach, Moriarty looked jubilant.

"Brother Robinson, you're truly incredible. Just look at the envious gazes everyone gave you; standing next to you, I felt like I was basking in your glory. You're not just an arms expert, you're a money-making expert too! You earned half a month's worth of revenue for my entire Di Suo Bar in a single night!"

"Brother Moriarty, you're being too modest. With a car like yours, I'd have to work for a long time to afford it."

Moriarty scratched his head, looking like a big, simple-minded fellow.

"Brother, let's head back a bit later tonight. My treat—let's go grab a meal together. Don't refuse me, or I'll be heartbroken."

Zhang Shan, Mona, and the others watched this big brother, who seemed a bit off today, their faces twitching.

In truth, they felt like vomiting; they were thoroughly disgusted.

Starry Grand Hotel.

Zhang Shan went to the top floor and stood at the edge of the rooftop. The night breeze was a bit chilly, making his clothes flutter loudly. Looking down, he could see the entire neon-lit city.

Traffic flowed like water, but people were like ants.

Zhang Shan felt a tug on the corner of his jacket. Looking down, he saw it was little Li Chao.

"Brother, it's so cold, don't stand here." A hint of worry showed in Li Chao's eyes. As for what exactly she was worried about, she couldn't say.

"Silly child, do you think I'm going to jump? Don't worry, I won't," Zhang Shan comforted Li Chao.

"That's good. Brother, let's not stand here anymore. It's almost time to eat; let's go." Li Chao pulled Zhang Shan along.

By the door, Mona stood there watching little Li Chao.

At the dinner table, toasts were inevitable. Zhang Shan watched in silence as Moriarty completely lost his composure. Shouldn't a leader be mature and steady? How could he drink himself into such a state? It was truly mind-boggling.

And then there was that big oaf, unable to control his emotions, crying and laughing like a fool.

Zhang Shan sighed to the heavens; why wasn't there a single normal person to take charge?

"This is bad, this is bad!" Mona ran in, panicked.

"Wha... what's wrong? What's all the fuss about?" Moriarty slurred.

"Li Chao, Li Chao has been taken!!" Mona said hurriedly, clutching a wound on her abdomen.

"What happened?" Zhang Shan barked.

"Just now, Li Chao wanted to go to the restroom. I wasn't comfortable letting her go alone, so I followed. When she came out, a group of men in black swarmed us. I couldn't fight them off alone and got hurt, and they took the chance to snatch Li Chao away. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," Mona said, her face full of guilt.

After hearing Mona's explanation, Zhang Shan immediately knew who had kidnapped Li Chao.

"It must be Victor. He lost face today, and with his personality, he definitely wouldn't let it go. I should have seen this coming." The shock of the news instantly sobered Moriarty up.

"I'm going to save her. I'll head out first."

"Brother, wait for me! I'm coming too. Since she was lost on my watch, it's my duty to bring her back to you in one piece."

In the dark of night, the wolf pack set out.

"I put a tracker on Li Chao. We'll follow the signal."

A pursuit began through the crowded streets.

"We can die, we can get hurt, but that little girl must be unharmed. Do you hear me?!" Moriarty gave his subordinates a strict order.

"Understood. Mission guaranteed!"

Victor looked at the small child and smiled triumphantly. "Little brat, what do you think your chances of survival are?"

Little Li Chao shook her head and said coldly, "I won't die. My brother will come to save me. You should worry about yourself instead!"

Slap! Five finger marks immediately appeared on Li Chao's face. "How arrogant! Didn't your so-called brother tell you to keep a low profile? You're in my hands now, with no one to protect you. Your life and death are for me to decide!! Cry! I said cry!"

Victor beat Li Chao frantically, but she gritted her teeth and refused to let a single tear fall, repeating over and over, "My brother will come for me. He will definitely come for me."

The more Li Chao spoke, the angrier Victor became. He pulled out a gun and pointed the dark barrel at her head.

"Do you believe I'll kill you right now and let your brother come to collect your corpse?"

Li Chao glared at him stubbornly, refusing to give in.

Seeing that Victor was about to lose his mind, his subordinates stopped him just in time, telling him that if the girl died, they would lose their leverage. Only then did Victor regain his reason.

A heavy truck suddenly charged forward, the impact so powerful that even Victor, who was deep inside, felt the shock.

At that moment, Li Chao jerked her head up, the light in her eyes rekindling.

I knew it! My brother would definitely come to save me!!

Victor held Li Chao hostage as he got out of the car.

"Hahaha! Robinson, I thought you were cold-blooded, but to think you'd come for a mere child! Hahahaha!"

"Victor, what kind of hero kidnaps a child? If you have the guts, let her go and we'll settle this face-to-face!"

"Do you think I'm an idiot? I finally got my hands on some leverage; why would I just let her go? Robinson, ever since you arrived, you've opposed me at every turn. I've wanted you dead for a long time!"

"Drop the gun! Drop it, or I'll kill her!"

Zhang Shan lowered his gun and nodded toward a certain spot.

Bang! A bullseye.

The hand Victor held the gun with slowly dropped as blood trickled from the side of his head.

Li Chao broke free from Victor's grasp and ran toward Zhang Shan. Zhang Shan held Li Chao, sensing her fear, and did his best to comfort her.

Seeing the finger marks on Li Chao's face, Zhang Shan felt that letting Victor die like this was far too easy on him.

A formidable figure of his generation had fallen!
