85: Chapter 85 Let's Enjoy It to the Fullest
"Hmph, since you look down on me, I'll have to show you what I'm capable of, and let you know the consequences of underestimating me."
Zhang Shan chuckled, then instantly dove into the fray.
Bam! Pow! Crash!
Without anyone even seeing Zhang Shan make a move, those burly men who had been preparing to rush him went flying one by one. To onlookers, it seemed as if they hadn't even managed to touch the hem of his clothes.
"What the hell? What the fuck just happened?"
Seeing this, Tao Wei's expression shifted abruptly. He hadn't expected Zhang Shan's strength to be this formidable. In his eyes, taking down Zhang Shan should have been effortless; after all, his men were all professionally trained and should have easily handled an ordinary person.
Yet, he hadn't anticipated that the men he sent out would be taken down in mere seconds. He had been careless.
Looking at the fighting on the other side, Gu Nan seemed to be playing with Tao Wei's subordinates, taking them down one by one with a single punch. They were completely unable to parry his blows.
Tao Wei hadn't expected this at all. He had no choice but to play it by ear.
"Go! Attack! Don't show them any mercy! Don't worry about their lives—as long as you can kill them, we'll succeed!"
Tao Wei's face was livid. He finally understood why Zhang Shan and his companion dared to come to the Emperors Pavilion alone. It wasn't out of arrogance; it was because they possessed the strength to hold their own.
Tao Wei felt a twinge of fear. He never imagined these two would be this powerful—so many men, and they still couldn't win. It was incredibly humiliating.
Regardless, his goal for today was to take them down—at any cost.
Upon hearing the order, the members of the Dragon Tiger Gang drew knives from their waists, the blades glinting coldly under the lights.
"What the fuck? You guys actually brought weapons? This isn't fair! We're just supposed to be having a fistfight, right? You bring weapons but don't give us any?" Gu Nan complained indignantly.
"I don't give a damn about you! You want to talk to me about fairness now? That's got nothing to do with me. My goal right now is to finish you two off, so stop with the constant yapping—I'm not listening!"
Tao Wei was truly stunned by Gu Nan; even in such a critical moment, he still had the presence of mind to argue about fairness.
"Attack!"
At Tao Wei's command, the members of the Dragon Tiger Gang instinctively formed into small groups of two or three. They charged toward Gu Nan and Zhang Shan, their faces set with a death-defying resolve.
"Listen, guys, don't do this. I don't know my own strength, and it won't be good if I end up hurting you."
"Otter, can you take this fight seriously? Stop talking so much!" Zhang Shan sighed in frustration. Gu Nan's 'condition'—or whatever this was—had to flare up at the worst possible time. He acted like a seasoned veteran, but he was a total chatterbox!
"Alright, alright, I'll get serious then. You guys better be careful!"
Tao Wei was speechless. What kind of person was this?
In an instant, Gu Nan's gaze shifted. A cold glint shot from his eyes, and a sneer similar to Zhang Shan's curled at the corner of his mouth. His movements were fast, precise, and ruthless. Before Tao Wei's men could react, he lunged, grabbed their wrists, and snatched the weapons from their hands.
Clang! The sound of weapons colliding rang out.
The steel blade in Zhang Shan's hand swept forward, glinting with a chilling, lethal light as he struck at the men in the front.
Seeing Zhang Shan's reckless, fearless demeanor, the burly men's expressions shifted. Fortunately, they were skilled enough to immediately cease their attacks and scramble backward, just barely dodging the blow.
Unfortunately, they didn't manage to avoid it entirely.
Where the blade sliced through, flesh tore open and blood splattered everywhere. Under Zhang Shan's fierce assault, the burly men couldn't fully evade his attacks. Deep, bloody gashes were torn into various parts of their bodies by his weapon. If one looked closely, the white of their bones was visible.
"Ah! My leg!" "Ah! My hand! My eyes!"
Miserable screams echoed through the room. The burly men scrambled backward in panic, terrified of losing their lives. But as more men rushed up from behind, they collided with each other, creating chaos.
"Attack! Attack! Go, kill them for me!" Tao Wei seemed to have been driven into a frenzy, his voice hoarse from constant roaring.
But the offensive from Zhang Shan and his companion was too fierce. The burly men had no choice but to disobey the order and retreat. After all, they were just in it for the money; they didn't want to die.
Zhang Shan was having the time of his life. It had been so long since he'd really cut loose. Now that he finally had a chance to fight, his whole body felt an indescribable rush of exhilaration—it was fantastic!
Amidst the wails, the members of the Dragon Tiger Gang fell one by one. Blood flowed like a river, staining the walls crimson.
Hiding not far away, Tao Wei and his men watched the brutal slaughter unfolding before them. Their hearts pounded, terrified out of their minds.
Tao Wei had never expected Zhang Shan's skills to be this formidable. And looking at the other one—that unknown young man—his skills were barely inferior to Zhang Shan's. In such a short time, the floor was already littered with his men.
"Attack! Attack! Go!" Tao Wei seemed to have descended into madness. He didn't care in the slightest about the lives of his subordinates; he only knew that he couldn't afford to lose.
"A bunch of trash." Zhang Shan let out a loud laugh. Honestly, he was incredibly disappointed in these so-called elites of the Dragon Tiger Gang. He had hoped they would give him a decent fight today, something to really sink his teeth into, but their strength was pathetic. They weren't even worth the effort.
Despite his disdain, Zhang Shan didn't slow down. This was his first stop in Zhili Country; he had to finish this quickly and establish his reputation. He wanted everyone to know that he wasn't just an excellent arms dealer, but a highly skilled fighter as well.
"Otter, how's it going? Are you done yet? Can you hurry up? I've been idle over here for ages!" After taking down the last member of the Dragon Tiger Gang near him, Zhang Shan called out to Gu Nan.
"My ancestor, stop rushing me! Can't you see how many people I've got here? But don't worry, I'll take care of them in five minutes. Just wait there for a second." Gu Nan said, continuing to fight.
In less than five minutes, Gu Nan had cleared out everyone on his side. The two of them walked over to Tao Wei together.
"Hey! Do you have anything else up your sleeve? Bring it out and show us! We haven't had our fill yet, so hurry up. Or why don't you fight us yourself and let us have some real fun?"
Tao Wei appeared calm, but in reality, he was panicking internally.
