18: Chapter 18 PLAY HOUSE

At the entrance of PLAY HOUSE, a marketer standing by the door smoking was chatting with a companion while glancing toward the roadside. Suddenly, a dark red Mercedes-Benz and a Land Rover Range Rover slowly pulled up.

The marketer nimbly flicked the half-smoked cigarette from his fingers to the ground and strode toward the two vehicles, expertly pulling a mint from his pocket and popping it into his mouth to chew quickly.

The other marketers, a step too slow, had no choice but to stop and watch the first one with envious eyes.

Su Ye had just opened the car door to get out when, unexpectedly, a young man of twenty-seven or twenty-eight, dressed in a crisply pressed suit, appeared before him.

He was looking at Su Ye with a smile that was neither sycophantic nor off-putting.

Looking up and seeing the young man's hand placed on the top of the door frame to protect him from bumping his head, Su Ye chuckled and said, "Thank you."

"It's my pleasure, Boss. Hello, my name is Marketing Manager, and I am the Marketing Manager for this PLAY HOUSE."

Su Ye didn't take Marketing Manager's words seriously; these days, anyone working a job is either a manager or a consultant—when you're out making a living, a fancy title is important.

At this moment, Li Yi also got out of the car, though he had added quite a few accessories to his ears, neck, and hands.

Li Yi walked quickly to Su Ye's side, glanced at Marketing Manager, gave a haughty snort, and walked ahead.

Su Ye knew this was because Li Yi felt he had been treated differently due to the service Marketing Manager had just shown him, so he chuckled and hurried to catch up.

Marketing Manager quickly caught up and said, "Boss, I'm not sure if this is your first time here, or if you have someone you're familiar with?"

Su Ye glanced at Li Yi, who was waiting at the door, and seeing him shake his head, replied, "No."

Upon hearing Su Ye's "no," Marketing Manager knew this deal was likely in the bag.

"Then it seems this is your first time at our PLAY HOUSE. Let me introduce it to you first. Our PLAY HOUSE is divided into four areas: the CLUB Main Hall, Lounge Bar, Underground, and Party Room. I wonder how you two would like to spend your time?"

Marketing Manager's explanation was quite detailed, as many people who haven't frequented bars might not be familiar with the layout. This PLAY HOUSE in Chengdu is considered one of the top three bars in Chengdu. The venue is extremely large, naturally divided into different areas based on customers' varying needs; for instance, the CLUB Main Hall is similar to a typical bar.

The Lounge Bar is positioned as a private club for the city's elite circles, with a relatively elegant style and a more relaxed pace. It is generally equipped with private elevators, a cocktail bar, a cigar bar, and other facilities, making it a place for high-end clients to relax and socialize.

As for the Underground, it is an area where customers can vent their emotions. It usually plays more personalized, niche music, such as underground electronic music. The atmosphere tends to be cooler and more rebellious, and the decor may lean toward a tougher, industrial style.

Finally, the Party Room provides a private space for customers, suitable for hosting private parties, small gatherings, and similar events. Customers can enjoy exclusive service and space here, decorating the venue according to their needs to host birthday parties, company gatherings, and more.

Su Ye had been to bars a few times before in Chengdu and back home, but since today was mainly about treating Li Yi, the choice of where to go depended on him.

Seeing Su Ye and Marketing Manager staring at him, Li Yi thought for a moment and said, "Let's go with the Main Hall. The Lounge Bar is too pretentious, the Underground is too noisy, and there's no need for a Party Room when it's just the two of us."

Marketing Manager nodded and led them into the bar. As they passed through the doors of the Main Hall, a restless energy rushed toward them, dynamic music filled their ears, and red lights danced all around.

Marketing Manager led them to the side so they wouldn't block other customers and said loudly, "Bosses, our Main Hall is divided into eight areas from the outside in. How would you like to choose?"

Li Yi responded loudly, "How is the minimum spend calculated?"

Marketing Manager had seen the two of them arrive in luxury cars, so naturally, he wouldn't be so tactless as to explain each area one by one—that would be too embarrassing. So, he said loudly, "Since it's your first time here, Bosses, just pick whichever spot you like, and I'll arrange it."

Su Ye knew this was just Marketing Manager being polite, but he couldn't help feeling very comfortable with it. After looking around, he pointed to the third area from the back and said, "Let's go with this one. Any further toward the stage would be too noisy, and anything behind this is boring."

Li Yi nodded in deep agreement. Neither of them was particularly fond of noise, and it wasn't their first time in a bar; frankly, they were just looking for a place with the right atmosphere to have a drink.

Marketing Manager nodded, walked to the side, and picked up a walkie-talkie to say something. Afterward, he led Su Ye and Li Yi directly to a fairly good spot with relatively good privacy. Then, he pulled a tablet from somewhere and handed it to Su Ye, saying, "Bosses, please take a look and see what package you'd like to order."

Su Ye took a look. The lowest package was only 198 yuan, and the highest was only 2989 yuan—completely different from the thousands, tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands he had expected to spend.

Li Yi, seeing Su Ye's expression from the side, naturally knew what he was thinking, as they had been brothers for many years.

"Ye-zi, you're overthinking it. The Main Hall bar caters to the general public and isn't that high-end. Even if it's one of the top three bars in Chengdu, the main clientele is still regular people. If you offered packages costing thousands or tens of thousands, who would dare come? It's not that packages costing tens or hundreds of thousands don't exist, but those are for Party Room business bookings."

"And don't underestimate this. Look, a bottle of XO and a few bottles of Budweiser already cost nearly three thousand. If you really had a dozen people drinking freely, see if the bill wouldn't hit tens of thousands—though, of course, almost no one actually does that."

Su Ye nodded, then looked at Marketing Manager and tapped the 2989 package three times in a row, before asking with a smile, "That should cover the minimum spend, right?"

To be honest, this package was a bit of a rip-off—a bottle of Courvoisier XO and six cans of Budweiser for nearly three thousand, when the cost was probably only two or three hundred. Su Ye mainly just thought Marketing Manager had been quite attentive with his service, and since the two of them were taking up a decent booth, he decided to order them.

Who knew that after Marketing Manager picked up the tablet to look at it, he handed it back to Su Ye. Just when Su Ye thought Marketing Manager was going to be greedy, Marketing Manager said, "Boss, there's no need to order so many of these packages. The minimum spend for this booth is only 5,500. Just order one of these packages and pair it with some other drinks, and that will be enough."
