60: Chapter 60 This is like wearing a house on your hand!

Su Ye led Jiang Bai and Liu Xueer through the door, and a blast of cool air rushed to meet them, instantly refreshing all three of them.

"Welcome to Patek Philippe Chengdu."

Amidst the crisp and enthusiastic greeting, Su Ye surveyed his surroundings. The store employed an L-shaped layout, extending along the lanes of Taikoo Li Zhongli, naturally dividing the space into a core display area, a VIP appreciation area, and an after-sales experience center.

The curved display wall at the entrance showcased iconic Patek Philippe timepieces in a timeline format, ranging from the first pocket watch in 1839 to the new 2025 Cubitus collection. Beneath each watch was a touchscreen, allowing visitors to view movement disassembly animations and interviews with master watchmakers.

Standing on the Ya'an green marble inlay that recreated the Patek Philippe "Calatrava Cross" emblem, the stone surface had been hand-polished to present a warm, smooth texture.

The surrounding display case glass utilized custom anti-reflective coated glass from the Schott Group with a light transmittance of 99.7%, featuring built-in temperature sensors with ±0.5°C precision control to ensure the enamel dials remained unaffected by light and humidity.

The surrounding walls were decorated using a "gradient underglaze" technique, transitioning from light blue at the entrance to deep blue in the VIP room, subtly reflecting the Chengdu geographical imagery of "from the waters of the Jinjiang River to the peaks of the snowy mountains."

A beautiful service consultant wore a grey professional suit; the small blazer and pencil skirt accentuated her curves, while a pair of black stockings wrapped around her fair, long legs, highlighting their shape. Her black high heels clicked crisply against the marble floor.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I am Service Consultant Luo Lan of Patek Philippe Chengdu. May I ask if the three of you have an appointment?"

Under normal procedures, one would naturally need to book an appointment on the official website 24 hours in advance, but as a China Merchants Bank Private Banking client, Su Ye naturally did not need to.

China Merchants Bank Private Banking clients are divided into three levels, starting with a minimum deposit of 10 million, which is the M1 level.

Next is the M2 level for 50 million to 100 million, and the M3 level for over 100 million. Su Ye held the M2 level and believed he would be upgraded to the M3 level before long.

He casually took the pre-prepared China Merchants Bank M2-level bank card from his pocket. When Service Consultant Luo Lan saw the matte black bank card in Su Ye's hand, she noticed the four large characters "Private Banking" engraved on it using 3D micro-relief technology.

The edges were inlaid with a 0.1 mm wide platinum trim. The card number and the name "Su Ye" were engraved using a deep intaglio process, giving them a tactile, three-dimensional feel like a coin.

As a senior Service Consultant for Patek Philippe, Service Consultant Luo Lan naturally recognized this as a China Merchants Bank M2-level Private Banking card, indicating the cardholder had a deposit of at least 50 million. The first lesson at Patek Philippe was learning how to identify clients.

Her smile brightened by another thirty percent, and Service Consultant Luo Lan had already cast the appointment requirement to the back of her mind. Who would dare say that someone carrying 50 million in their bank card wasn't a client? If she did, the store manager would have her pack her bags and leave the very next day.

"Mr. Su, ladies, please come this way."

Service Consultant Luo Lan bowed slightly, her standard welcoming etiquette as flawless as a textbook.

The private appreciation room on the inner side of the first floor was separated from the street outside by only a floor-to-ceiling glass window, yet there was not a hint of noise; it was extremely quiet. The smart dimmable glass had been set to privacy mode, so even if someone outside pressed their face against the window, they wouldn't be able to see anything inside. The room was equipped with a B&O Beosound 90 sound system, playing customized white noise from the watchmaking workshop.

Sitting on the soft fabric sofa, Service Consultant Luo Lan, who was standing to the side, bowed slightly and said:

"Respected Mr. Su and ladies, we offer Qingcheng Xueya tea, coffee, champagne, and a special Panda-themed afternoon tea. What would the three of you like?"

Su Ye said indifferently: "Tea will be fine."

Jiang Bai and Liu Xueer spoke in unison: "Panda-themed afternoon tea."

Service Consultant Luo Lan wore a beaming, appropriate smile: "Very well, please wait a moment, and I will arrange for it to be prepared for you."

After saying this, she walked quickly out of the private appreciation room with crisp, rhythmic steps.

Seeing Service Consultant Luo Lan leave, Liu Xueer said excitedly: "Daebak! I didn't expect Patek Philippe's service to be this good. They even provide Panda-themed afternoon tea. Last time Wang Fangling and her nouveau riche boyfriend came, they didn't get this. Later, I'm going to take tons of photos and post them on Moments so she turns green with envy."

Jiang Bai smiled gently. She naturally knew the story between her best friend Liu Xueer and her nemesis Wang Fangling. She then looked at Su Ye and asked: "Su Ye, do you have a watch in mind?"

Su Ye nodded and smiled: "Of course I do. If I didn't, I wouldn't have brought you here directly. I just don't know what kind of additional purchases I'll need to make."

Just as the three were chatting, Service Consultant Luo Lan, accompanied by two service staff members, brought over two platters of Panda-themed afternoon tea and Qingcheng Mountain Xueya tea. Wisps of tea fragrance drifted through the air along with the rising steam. The "Panda-themed afternoon tea" featured macarons imprinted with the Patek Philippe crown design, paired with Zhuyeqing tea and jasmine tea.

After the service staff set down the tea and left, Service Consultant Luo Lan knelt beside Su Ye. She could naturally tell that Su Ye was the one buying the watch today.

"Mr. Su, have you been to Patek Philippe before?"

Service Consultant Luo Lan asked this to find out if Su Ye had been served by a consultant before, or so she could check Su Ye's personalized profile on her tablet to make recommendations later.

Su Ye shook his head gently: "This is my first time. There's no need to create a personalized profile. I've already set my sights on a watch, I just want to see if you have it in stock and what the requirements are for additional purchases."

Service Consultant Luo Lan's fingers paused on the tablet, and she then said: "Very well, Mr. Su. May I ask which model you have in mind?"

While asking, Service Consultant Luo Lan frantically scanned her store's inventory and the status of additional purchase requirements in her mind.

"The Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar series 6159G."

Upon hearing Su Ye's words, Service Consultant Luo Lan first confirmed it on her tablet and then smiled, saying: "Mr. Su, you are very lucky. This watch was ordered by a gentleman eight months ago, but after it arrived at the store this month, he waived his right to purchase, so we have it in stock. Please wait a moment while I go get the watch."

Hearing Service Consultant Luo Lan's words, Su Ye felt great. After all, Su Ye had researched the Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar series 6159G online beforehand; it usually required six to twelve months of waiting for additional purchases. However, this watch was very popular, and if one was lucky enough, there was still a chance to pick it up. Su Ye had already decided that if he had to wait, he would raise the price range for the watch and buy an in-stock model to wear in the meantime.

Opposite him, Liu Xueer heard the conversation between Su Ye and Service Consultant Luo Lan and hurriedly flipped through her phone to look up the watch they had just mentioned.

Looking at the price displayed on her phone, Liu Xueer opened her small mouth in shock, then poked Jiang Bai, who was beside her, and whispered: "Xiao Bai, that's a whole house."
