126: Waste? Black Shark's death reveals Leviathan's true boss!
Chaotic Starfield.
Somewhere in a giant steel fortress of unknown coordinates, suspended in space.
In a luxurious but chilling command hall, the light was dim.
The only light source came from the huge holographic projection of a starfield sandbox in the center of the hall.
On the sandbox, countless light points slowly moved, each representing a warship belonging to the Leviathan Guild.
Just now.
The hundreds of red light points representing Black Shark’s Seventh Fleet, at the edge of the Wall of Storms, extinguished simultaneously without warning.
As if casually wiped away from the sandbox by an invisible hand wearing a white glove.
“Useless.”
A lazy yet magnetic voice came from the shadows of the throne.
There wasn't much anger in the voice, but rather a faint displeasure, like a meticulously prepared entertainment show ruined by clumsy actors.
The man on the throne slowly raised his hand, his slender fingers gently tapping on the armrest, making rhythmic “tap, tap” sounds, as if beating the final drum for a bad play that had already ended.
“Wiped out by a bunch of fledglings who just crawled out of theNovice Village (Newbie Village).”
“Black Shark, that idiot, has completely disgraced our Leviathan.”
Below the throne, a man in a crisp uniform and a monocle bowed respectfully, not daring to raise his head.
“Boss, according to the last message from the Seventh Fleet, the enemy’s warship has aerial suspension capabilities, a highly defensive energy shield, and an extremely powerful single-person mech.”
“Black Shark… underestimated them.”
“Underestimated?”
The man on the throne sneered.
“That’s stupidity.”
“Boss, do we need to dispatch the Phantom Squad?” the monocle-wearing man asked tentatively. “They are experts at handling such tricky targets.”
“Phantom Squad?”
The man on the throne, the one referred to as “Boss,” seemed to smile, a hint of playfulness in his voice.
“Them?”
“They’re not worthy yet.”
He stood up and walked out of the shadows.
He was a young man who looked to be around thirty, dressed in a well-tailored white suit, with a handsome, almostWeird (demonic) appearance.
His peach blossom eyes always carried a faint smile, as if indifferent to everything in the world.
He walked to the starfield sandbox, looking at the now empty area with a playful gaze.
“A fish that can overturn a fishing net is worth catching.”
“Tell ‘Vulture’ and Iron Hammer to speed up.”
His finger lightly traced the sandbox, and two arrows representing fleets were rapidly approaching the blank area from different directions.
“I don’t care how they do it, bring that ship, and the people on it, back intact.”
A curve of intrigued amusement appeared on his lips.
“I want to see with my own eyes what kind of people dare to stir up such big waves in my pond.”
...Natural Selection, Bridge.
“Sister! Brother Mo! Look! My Victory cake!”
Gu Nianqiu hummed an off-key tune, pushing a dining cart, bouncing in like a cheerful little butterfly.
On the dining cart was a huge cream cake.
On the cake, a Q-version of the Natural Selection was drawn with red jam, and next to it were two stick figures, one holding a long spear and the other a spatula, fiercely beating a group of strangely shaped little monsters.
The naive and cute drawing instantly dispelled the solemn atmosphere in the Bridge caused by the approaching strong enemy.
Gu Zhixia looked at her sister’s innocent smile, and the tense corners of her mouth unconsciously softened.
“Huh? Where’s that ugly one-eyed uncle from earlier?”
Gu Nianqiu looked around curiously.
“Him,” Lin Mo said without changing his expression, picking up a piece of cake casually, his eyes showing no ripple, “He didn’t like our food, so he jumped into the sea and swam away.”
“Ah? Is that so?”
The innocent Little Girl immediately believed him, puffed out her cheeks, and said indignantly.
“That’s too much! He didn’t even taste it, how could he know it wasn’t good!”
“Hmph! Next time I see him, I’ll… I’ll make him eat the whole cake!”
Watching her sister’s “fierce” look, Gu Zhixia almost couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
She walked over to Lin Mo, also took a piece of cake, and glanced at him from the corner of her eye, her gaze carrying a hint of a smile and tenderness that she herself hadn’t noticed.
This man always managed to keep all the bloodshed and killing out of her sister’s world with the calmest tone.
After entrusting the aftermath and the task of comforting his sister to Gu Zhixia, Lin Mo went alone to the deepest part of the warship.
This was the core area of the warship, and also the forbidden zone of the entire ship.
A heavy alloy door, like the gate of a temple, slowly slid open, revealing a huge circular space behind it.
In the center of the space, an enormous cannon, whose majesty and ferocity were beyond description, floated silently.
Its barrel was not cast from metal, but made of a solidified, deep dark matter, its surface engraved with countless profound and complex golden patterns, as if recording the birth and death of the universe.
This was the Natural Selection’s strongest weapon system, the Spear of Law, which had always been in a semi-activated state.
Lin Mo stepped forward and extended his hand.
The water droplet, dark red all over, like the tears of a god, floated quietly in his palm.
The black destructive lightning within it seemed to sense something, and began to wildly and violently roam.
“Initiate final fusion.”
Lin Mo gave the command.
The water droplet transformed into a stream of light, slowly flying towards a reserved groove behind the Spear of Law’s muzzle.
The moment the two touched.
Buzz—!
An indescribable terrifying pressure instantly filled the entire space!
Even the warship’s hull let out a faint, overwhelmed groan!
The water droplet melted like ice and snow, transforming into the purest, dark-red liquid containing the “ending” law, rapidly spreading along the golden patterns on the barrel!
Those originally dim golden patterns were ignited by this power, lighting up one by one!
Finally, the entire giant cannon burst forth with dazzling, eerie light mixed with dark red and gilded gold!
A surge of aura representing absolute ending and complete eradication swept out!
[Warning! Core weapon component detected as complete!]
[“Spear of Law” system fully activated!]
[Unlocking final weapon form: End — water droplet]
