88: Fireworks Show

Half an hour later.

As the Natural Selection arrived above Lichi Island (Tooth Island), Gu Nianqiu also pushed a dining cart, rushing into the ship-borne factory.

On the dining cart were two bento boxes wrapped in exquisite cloths.

Beside them were two special fruit juices, pressed from [Shining Apples] and [Vigor Berries], emitting a mysterious purple glow.

"Brother Mo, Sister! Your love bento and energizing juices!"

She handed the items to the two who had already re-entered their mecha cockpits.

Lin Mo took the juice and drank it in one gulp.

A cool, warm current instantly swept through his limbs, dispelling the fatigue caused by prolonged high mental concentration.

[You drank 'Nianqiu's Special Juice'. For 60 minutes, mental recovery speed +10%, all attributes +3.]

Gu Zhixia looked at the fried egg in the bento box, with a cute smiley face drawn in ketchup, and the corners of her usually cold mouth involuntarily curved upwards slightly.

But she still spoke sharply.

"Childish."

Before her words even faded, she had already devoured the food in the bento at the fastest speed.

"Are you ready?"

Lin Mo's steady voice sounded in the communication channel.

"Ready anytime."

Gu Zhixia's voice now carried a cold killing intent, befitting a Weapon Master.

"Good."

"Nianqiu, go to the top deck and be our audience."

Lin Mo issued the final command.

"The show begins now."

"Okay! You guys can do it!"

Gu Nianqiu nodded vigorously and scurried towards the elevator leading to the top deck.

The dome of the ship-borne factory silently slid open.

The steel behemoth, Fafnir, docked in the hangar, opened its eyes, which burned with golden flames, once again.

Lin Mo piloted the flame dragon mecha, landing steadily on the control platform on its back.

Man and beast, once again merged into one.

Gu Zhixia's thunder dragon mecha skillfully gripped the hardpoints on Fafnir's leg, connecting tightly like the most deadly knight to her mount.

"Roar—!!!"

With a dragon's roar that shook the clouds, Fafnir's massive black dragon wings suddenly unfurled.

Its enormous body transformed into a black arrow released from a bowstring, charging out of the ship-borne factory and diving vertically towards the lush, primitive, and wild island below!

The wind roared in his ears, and the clouds rapidly receded beneath them.

Lin Mo's vision was perfectly synchronized with Fafnir's sensory system.

He could clearly "see" the ugly orc camps, built with crude wood and animal skins, in the dense jungle below.

He could even "smell" the foul stench of orcs, mixed with blood and filth, permeating the air.

"Lock on target one, coordinates 774, 291, Orc main camp."

Lin Mo's voice was devoid of emotion.

"Received."

Gu Zhixia's voice was concise and cold.

Fafnir arced widely in the air, adjusting its posture.

Its ferocious dragon head slowly lifted, aiming at the largest camp below, where smoke curled upwards.

"Sister, Brother Mo, I see you! So cool!"

Gu Nianqiu's innocent cheers came through the communication channel.

She was leaning over the railing of the top deck, waving her small hands vigorously, as if watching the grandest fireworks display.

The corner of Lin Mo's mouth curved into an arc.

Then, let these fireworks be even more spectacular.

He pressed the button that represented destruction.

"Dragon King Plasma Breath, fire."

The next second, an orange-red energy torrent, more dazzling than the sun, tore through the sky, like a divine punishment, pouring directly into the quiet jungle below.

Boom—!!!

There were no screams, no struggles.

The entire orc camp, along with thousands of square meters of primeval jungle around it, was instantly wiped out by this destructive force.

In its place, only a huge, terrifying crater remained, its edges still flowing with crimson magma, emitting a smell of sulfur.

In the jungle, a raging fire instantly ignited, and thick black smoke soared into the sky, dyeing half the sky an ominous gray... On the other side of Lichi Island (Tooth Island), in a secluded valley.

A team of five players was cautiously navigating the rugged mountain path.

They were well-equipped and worked together seamlessly, clearly a disciplined and formidable survivor team.

The captain, Chen Jin, with a resolute face, lowered his voice: "Stay sharp, everyone! The smell of blood will soon attract more beasts. Xiao Ma, what's the situation ahead?"

The scout called "Xiao Ma" was half-crouching on a high vantage point, holding a crude monocular telescope.

"Captain, it's safe. No signs of orcs within three kilometers ahead."

Xiao Ma lowered his telescope, turning back with a grave expression.

"However... the commotion on the other side of the island seems to be getting louder."

Everyone felt it.

From a few minutes ago, continuous low rumbling sounds had been heard, and the ground beneath their feet trembled slightly with them.

A burly man in the team, carrying a giant axe, asked in a booming voice: "Captain, could there be some big monster over there? Scarier than that LV18 'Tyrant Megalizard' from last time."

"Doesn't seem like it."

Chen Jin frowned and shook his head.

"The Tyrant Megalizard's movements are violent, chaotic. But this sound is too rhythmic, like... targeted demolition."

"Demolition?" The team's only female archer, "Sister Ling," scoffed, "Old Chen, you're overthinking. Whose explosives could cause such a huge commotion?"

Just as they were discussing.

Boom—!!!

A colossal explosion, more terrifying than all previous sounds combined, suddenly erupted from the other side of the island!

This time, it was no longer a slight tremor.

But a violent, earth-shattering quake!

The entire valley trembled madly, and countlessgravel rolled down from the mountain walls on both sides.

"Holy crap! It's an earthquake!"

The burly man with the giant axe exclaimed, quickly plunging his axe into the ground to barely stabilize himself.

Everyone, in the violent shaking, instinctively looked up in the direction of the sound.

And then.

They saw it.

An orange-red sun rose from the end of the horizon.

That was not a real sun.

It was a pillar of light piercing through heaven and earth, tearing through the clouds with an unreasonable force, dyeing the entire world an apocalyptic orange-red.

The world, in an instant, lost all sound.

The sound of the wind, the chirping of insects, the exclamations of teammates... everything disappeared.

In their vision, there was only that light.

That absolute light of destruction, slowly and steadily vaporizing, evaporating, and utterly wiping away everything in the distance—forests, hills, Life—from this world.

Chen Jin's mouth hung open, but he couldn't make any sound.

He felt his soul, in front of that light, being frozen, being crushed.

That was not a weapon.

That was a divine punishment, sent down by a god.
